So how to enhance the value of the Lotus tree? When it comes to the world cherry blossoms we know it's about Japan, the Tulips is from Netherland. VIETNAM SERIES: Hanoi Travel Guide | #SOFCOTRAVELS
Hey there, love! Tune in to my newest travel guide episodes: THE VIETNAM SERIES :)
=================
Visiting Vietnam was definitely one of my most unforgettable travel experiences. It was a breath of fresh air – quite exhilarating for someone who is still recovering from a heartbreak (yes, I have just resigned from my first job as a ballet dancer, and yes, I was in the process of getting back together with my now-boyfriend). Seeing a new environment had changed my current outlook on life, that everything is not permanent. People change, things change. The world is always in the process of “moving on” and “going forward”. The memories we leave behind dictate where we go next.
The best part of this trip is learning about another city’s beautiful and colorful history that made it feel like it came right out from a fairytale or a storybook. Completely breathtaking! In this video, walk with me as I intake the busy streets of Hanoi – from the paths encircling the famous Hoan Kiem Lake, the mesmerizing and solemnity of the surrounding temples and pagodas, and the scents of freshly-made meals cooked by friendly locals.
PS - I am using my mobile data to upload this video, so every second counts! Watch til the end! ;)

Green Tourism, with the e-Car through Hanoi, Part 1 - Vietnam 4K Travel Channel
A popular Eco-friendly means of transportation in Hanoi are the rickshaws. Meanwhile, they is also available with electrical support. In July 2010, Hanoi's 1000th birthday, the offer was extended by electric cars, the reminiscent of a golf buggy. During our tour through the tourist center of Hanoi, we discovered at Hoan Kiem Lake a booth that offers sightseeing tours with electric car.
First we drive to the house with the number 48 in the Hang Ngang Street. It is the place where President Ho Chi Minh wrote the Declaration of Independence for Vietnam, in August 1945. Since 1970 it serves as a museum and memorial. Original photos and the former workrooms are freely accessible.
In addition to the Declaration of Independence, the organization of the national holiday was determined. Furthermore, the personnel decisions for the provincial governments were taken here.
Since nobody is there to ask what to visit, we also look to the upper floors. We end up at the housetop terrace from where we allow ourselves some views of the roofs of Hanoi again.
The next stop is the Dong Xuan Market. It is Hanoi's largest covered market. The building was built in 1889 by the French colonial administration. Since then it has been thoroughly renovated several times. The last time in 1994, after a devastating fire.
On the market, you can buy clothes, household articles and food. Unfortunately, filming is not allowed by the security personnel.
Passing many other shops, restaurants and cafés, we reach O Quan Chuong

Located about four hours from Hanoi, the Mai Chau Valley is known as the Jewel of the North. It's the center of ancient Thai culture in Vietnam, and a beautiful, soulful place with wonderful people who are open to having visitors. It's possible for tourism to spoil a place, and I often wonder if people with cameras and cargo shorts ruin what made it wonderful to begin with...But the fact is that tourism brings business, and the locals feel that's good, if managed the right way. With a friendly staff and management drawn from the local community, It seems to me this resort is doing it the right way.

Experience Southeast Asia: Ha Long Bay
It seems like we’ll never run out of things to love about Southeast Asia! Today, we’re exploring Ha Long Bay. This incredibly beautiful area, located in Northwest Vietnam, is one of the region’s most popular tourist destinations. Care to find out why? We’re happy to tell you! But be warned: once you’ve seen the jaw-dropping islets and sparkling waters of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, you’re going to want to be on the next flight out.
Not one to just sit back and enjoy the view? Good, because the best way to explore Ha Long Bay is to get up close and personal with it. Enjoy a scenic kayak ride around the islets and feel the cool limestone for yourself. Or you can always hop on board a junk-boat for a more relaxed, but still in-depth, tour of the bay.
One of the most unique and beautiful parts of Ha Long Bay is its small collection of “floating villages.” Home to about 1700 people, these villages are a collection of boats docked in a group, allowing residents to be near their source of income; fishing. Cruise by these villages, or say hello to the locals! These floating villages are a unique and important part of Vietnam’s culture.
Still haven’t gotten your sea legs? Parts of the bay can be explored on foot! Wander through ancient, intricate caves, and marvel at the way they’ve been shaped by the water for centuries. Ha Long Bay is truly spectacular, and not to be missed!
If you’re ready to see Ha Long Bay for yourself, maybe it’s time to start planning your tour through Vietnam? Check out our interview with Haing from G Adventures, or investigate what TourRadar has to offer travellers like you, eager to explore Ha Long Bay.

Best hostel in Hanoi, Vietnam
Best hostel in Hanoi, Vietnam - 7Fridays Westlake Hostel
I stayed here during my visit to Hanoi and it was awesome. The staff is very friendly and the whole vibe is crazy chill.
It's located in the “West Lake” area of Hanoi, providing a relaxed, safe environment for guests – with bars, restaurants, and entertainment just seconds from the hostel, whilst only being a short inexpensive Grab bike or car (from $1) away from Hanoi’s famously chaotic Old Quarter.
FREE BREAKFAST & a tea or coffee for all guests every morning.
Mixed dorm rooms are spacious, EN-SUITE and 24/7 A/C (air-conditioned). All beds have personal multi country CHARGING POINTS including 2 x USB ports & READING LIGHTS as well as big, super comfy MEMORY FOAM MATTRESSES and secure digital ELECTRONIC LOCKERS and room KEY CARDS.
The complex has plenty of common areas & social space. They host regular bar & poolside events featuring live bands, DJ’s, along with regular BBQ's & plenty of games such as beer pong, quiz nights, comedy nights...

Green Diamond Hotel Review - Budget hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam
We reviewed our room that we stayed in at Green Diamond Hotel in Hanoi. The hotel is a 2 star hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
We ended up staying here for 5 nights, plus they arranged a few of our tours up to Sapa and Halong Bay for a good price. We managed to get the room at £10/$16USD per night.
The only thing I would say is that the beds are quite hard. Other than that, it is a good cheap deal for a hotel in the middle of Hanoi and it is about a 20-minute walk to most sights including Hoan Lake. Additionally, if you want to see the main landmarks around the city, it won't take you more than 30 minutes. Or if you want to get there a bit quicker, jump on a scooter.
Great option for backpackers and couples that are on a tight budget. But as I said, the bed is really hard.
Another thing is there are great places to get food nearby. There's coffee buns in the morning, pho restaurants and several places where you can buy spring rolls.
You can find the hotel deal at the link below.

BETTER THAN SAPA? - Beautiful MAI CHAU VALLEY, VIETNAM
Mai Chau Valley is one of Vietnam’s hidden gems. Most tourists head to Sapa to see the beauty of the Vietnamese Countryside, but Mai Chau is actually 3 hours closer to Hanoi. So I wanted to see which one better: Mai Chau or Sapa?
You can experience Mai Chau Hoa Binh in a day trip, but we spent 2 days cycling around the rice fields and beautiful scenery.

Top Places To See Around Hanoi | Halong Bay | Ninh Binh | North Vietnam
This video has some of the best and top places to see in and around Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. We went on a 5 day trip to Hanoi, where we spent 3 days in Halong bay which is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one day we went on a local tour to Ninh Binh Province where we also toured Tam Coc and Mua Caves. The rest of the time we spent walking around exploring Old quarters of Hanoi and tried out all the exqusite Vietnamese food.
The locals were friendly and it was mostly a safe place to travel and explore the cultural differences and the natural wonders of Vietnam. We took the Paradise Luxury Cruise on our 2 day 3 night trip in Halong and stayed at Golden Art Hotel for the rest of our trip in Hanoi.
There are still a lot of places to visit and explore in Vietnam and hope we get time to go again in future. Please watch and share my other travel videos in my Travel Bee Youtube channel if you like it.
