Landmark Cinemas Kanata arcade review
Landmark Cinemas entered the Ottawa market by acquiring the leases for three theatres (Kanata, downtown and Orléans) previously run by Empire Theatres. The downtown Landmark has since been closed, while the two remaining ones feature small arcades for those wishing to be entertained beyond a roughly two-hour movie seating.
Which types of games are featured there? How will these arcades score? Alex visits the Landmark Kanata arcade to discover all of its pros and cons, desiring a Dance Dance Revolution at this location.
Plugged In review of Annie: PluggedIn.ca/movies/intheaters/annie-2014.aspx
Correction: six arcade games are available at Landmark Kanata. i forgot to show and explain the punching bag game. i'm not a big fan, it doesn't come across as notable to me and i just don't get it!

Empire Theatres Theme (Before Lights Go Out)
This is the song that used to play in the Empire Theatres before the movie starts. When you arrive early before the previews and everything. That haven't played this in years, I really like it and wish they bring it back. I don't go the theatres often but still. I'm not sure if this was in all of Canada or just Nova Scotia, each state/province might've had it's own theme, I'm not sure.

Bronson Centre
The Bronson Centre is a charity that was established in 1996 in an old high school in downtown Ottawa. Our mission is to provide affordable office and activity space (45,000 ft2) to other non-profits, charities, and communities. In turn, these organizations provide services to the 20,000 persons who come through our doors each month. They may be the poor, disabled, disenfranchised, ethnic minority community groups, or people attracted by cultural activities held in our theatre.
From its inception, the Bronson Centre has been a uniquely successful social enterprise, modelled as a kind of precursor to today’s ‘hubs’. Our permanent office spaces are rented to 40 different organizations. Short term spaces, like our 850 seat theatre and 200 seat community hall/kitchen, have served 100’s of different organizations. Our success is in having achieved a financially self-sufficient operations budget for the past ten years, which is independent of any public funding.
