Angel Fire, NM | Rio Grande Gorge Bridge | RV Living
RV Camping at Angel Fire RV Resort as members of Passport America was cheap! We explored the Enchanted Circle and surrounding areas such as the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, Red River (Red River Valley), Carson National Forest, and Taos. The Angel Fire RV Resort was SPECTACULAR and highly recommended for all RV travelers! The amenities include hot tub, club houses, pickle ball, access to the Country Club, awesome shower facilities, etc, ETC! The cellular reception isn't good but the Angel Fire RV Resort WiFi totally makes up for it.
The Enchanted Circle consists of a beautiful drive through the mountains and several small towns including Angel Fire, Eagle's Nest, Red River, Questa and Taos. Many scenic areas and campgrounds are located throughout these small towns and the Carson National Forest. The prettiest area of the drive and a must see location is Red River, New Mexico. Angel Fire, Taos, and Red River are all ski towns.

Red River, New Mexico Enchanted Circle
Riding in New Mexico and Colorado with the Moto Oz Beat The Heat Tour 2013. Moto Oz Beat The Heat motorcycle tour visited Red River, New Mexico and Taos, New Mexico for 5 nights and rode the mountain roads in New Mexico and some in Colorado. Riders on Yamaha, Harley Davidson, BMW, Honda and Suzuki motorcycles made up the Moto Oz motorcycle tour group. One day included a ride to Colorado and the Highway of the Legends. We ate lunch in Cuchara, Colorado and traveled through Trinidad, Colorado and Raton New Mexico. The tour rode over the famous Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. The Rio Grande Gorge Bridge can be seen in the movie Wild Hogs. US 64 to Chama, New Mexico was a lot of fun. The curves, switchbacks and sweepers made for a great ride. In Chama we saw the #Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad. The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad is a historic train with daily rides for visitors. The historic narrow gauge railroad is a favorite attraction in Chama. The Moto Oz Beat The Heat tour enjoyed a ride to Los Alamos. Los Alamos offered historic museums. Los Alamos history involvement with the nuclear bomb made for some interesting displays in the museum. Red River and Taos offered great local restaurants and shops. Both mountain towns offered a variety of opportunities for visitors. The Moto Oz Beat The Heat motorcycle tour was a big success with all the riders. Ordinary Biker Oz

Driving Through Taos
Driving through Taos to the Bent Street parking lot so we can go to the yarn shop in the Bent Street Plaza.
Visit Questa, New Mexico
Questa is the northern gateway to the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway that surrounds the highest peak in New Mexico, but our village stands in contrast to the resort towns on the east side of the mountains.
A half-hour north of Taos, we are one in a long string of small, historic towns that scattered up the Rio Grande from what is now Mexico into southern Colorado in the 18th and 19th centuries. Questa was officially founded in 1842. A rough and remote location, it was vulnerable to Ute raids for generations.
Video Credits: Niña Mia, by George Ramirez, recorded, mixed and mastered at Bear Rock Studios here in El Rito, vocals by Michael Real. Tim Long did the percussions, Lorenzo Martin Martinez did the guitar work, Erika Luckett did the harmonies. Photo of Michael by Christy Arguello.
