BANGALORE || WORLD'S IT CAPITAL || EMERGING INDIA || BENGALURU || KARNATAKA
Bangalore is also known as Bangaluru. It is 3rd fastest growing city in the world.
Garden city of India !!!Bangalore!!! Having evolved gradually from being the Garden City to the Silicon Valley of India, Bengaluru is that the third largest and one among the foremost livable cities in India. Bangalore is loved for its pleasant weather, beautiful parks and lakes all round the town. When in Bangalore, one can prefer to take an extended, stroll through the greenery of Cubbon Park, shop in many modern malls or street side markets or hop into one of the several acclaimed craft breweries in the city for a cold and refreshing drink. Bangalore had come to be renowned for its eateries, street food corners, quirky cafes, coffee roasters and pubs dotting every corner of the town, serving cuisines from everywhere the planet. Brunches, buffets, burgers, rooftop cafes, late-night eats - Bangalore has it all. However, the unprecedented growth of IT in Bangalore has reshaped quite few things including rising temperatures, polluted lakes and heavily congested roads, especially within the newer areas. Aside from the central business and commercial districts (and the roads leading up to them), the neighbourhoods of Bangalore are mostly quiet and serene, especially the older parts of the town. There's still the early-morning cacophony of street vendors ambling down the streets with carts, selling fresh fruits and vegetables. There are an enormous number of beautifully decorated parks within the city that are ideal for happening a morning stroll or a jog. One rehearse the 300-acre Cubbon Park, or the botanical gardens of Lalbagh, and you will know precisely why Bangalore is so famously called India's 'Garden City'.

Secret Fort Near Bangalore | Weekend getaway | Cinematic Travel video
I recently got back to Bangalore and the weather over here just makes you go out for a drive and that's exactly what I was up to :) I called up my friend, took my camera along and went for a drive to this fort Gudi bande which is almost 100 kms from Bangalore and to reach the top, you have to take 600 steps.
Here is a short vlog about my little adventure I hope you all enjoy it :)

Gimbal - DJI Ronin S
Mic - Rode video mic pro plus
Drone - DJI Mavic pro platinum
Gudibande Fort was built by local chieftain Byre Gowda some 400 odd years ago in the 17th century. It can be said as a concise replica of the Madhugiri fort. The fort has seven levels with interconnecting escape routes which would help soldiers to flee in case of emergency. On the top of the fort is a Shiva temple, which is believed to be one of the 108 Jyotirlingas. The strong pillar with a square base has well sculpted images. One can also have a good view of the Byrasagara reservoir. The fort’s main feature is the rainwater harvesting. It is said that there were around 19 rock ponds at different levels of the fort.
A 4-month long SOLO MOTORCYCLE TRIP | North-East India
1 motorcycle. 1 traveller. 4 months. 15,000 kilometres. 1 epic adventure.
In 2017, I did an ambitious solo motorcycle trip from Chennai in Southern India, all the way to the North-East of India and back. I set off without a real plan and simply went where I felt like going or where locals recommended that I go. Treacherous terrain, unfavourable weather, breakdowns and several other misadventures had nothing on the incredible places, culture and people that I encountered on this trip. I cant even begin to describe in words the incredible places I went and wonderful things that happened on this journey. So, I've made this 12-minute video to give you all a glimpse into that epic adventure.
If you are someone who loves travel or motorcycles (or both), then I hope that you will find something to connect with in this video. There are 18 more detailed vlogs from this trip on my channel. So, if you haven't already watched those, please do.

BANGALORE : Traditional food corners near Basavangudi area
A Saturday morning in Bangalore.. We got up early and went on a search for some traditional food in Bangalore. Our video is based on RK Narayan's fictional town of MALGUDI (Malleswaram + Basavangudi). We started off with Basavangudi in this 1st video and went on to some traditional food outlets nearby.
1. BRAHMINS COFFEE BAR
(Near Shankar Mutt, Ranga Rao Rd, Shankarapura, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560004)
Famous for it's Idlies, BCB is a small outlet with a fixed menu of Idli, Vade, Khara baat, Kesari baat, filter coffee & tea. We tried some lipsmacking Idli Vada and filter coffee.
2. VIDYARTHI BHAVAN
(32, Gandhi Bazaar Main Rd, Gandhi Bazaar, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560004)
World famous for it's Masala dosa,Vidyarthi Bhavan as it's name stances, was once a Food mess for college students nearby Basavangudi area. It is there since 1943. It is closed on every Fridays as their owners decided to celebrate the Indian Independence( Aug 15th 1947 was a Friday) even in current times.
3. SRI VENKETESWARA SWEETMEAT STALL
(No. 181, Balepete Main Road, Near Upparpet Police Station, Balepet, Chickpet, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560053)
Without having a sweet, I just couldn't think of finishing my heavy breakfast. And if the sweet is Mysore Pak, we couldn't even think of any place other than SVSMS, Balepet. The Mysore pak is made of pure ghee and serves out tummy and heart very equally????

A Perfect Bengaluru to Ooty Weekend Travel Itinerary
As a vlogger, unfolding the rustic beauty of a place like Ooty is a dream come true. So when the chance came for a weekend escape to visit Sterling’s beautiful Ooty Fernhill resort, I jumped at it. Little did I know that I was about to explore an all new side to Ooty like never before. It is my third trip to Ooty but my first time playing videographer on the journey and my guide this time was a local. The warm staff at Sterling Ooty Fernhill greeted me with an exotic tea upon arrival -- one that is native of Ooty -- which rejuvenated my senses at once.
I rested for a while in my amazingly comfortable bed, staring out through the beautiful over-sized French windows, to the fog-lined countryside. Then, it was time for me to head out. Come with me as I share it all with you in my video above.
Why You'll Love It!
Ooty aka Udagamandalam has earned the title ‘Queen of hills’ because of its unmatched mystical beauty. At an elevation of 7, 350 ft, this place is surrounded by Nilgiris, fresh lakes, tea plantations, coffee estates and is connected by an age-old mountain railway.
Sterling Ooty Fernhill has over 70 rooms, quaint roofed cottages, warm decors, a classy dining area, a café, an organic garden and large areas for outdoor activities. The view of tiny patches of vibrant flowers overflowing everywhere, seemed pretty as a picture against the cold mist.
WHAT TO DO IN OOTY
Explore the Toda Tribe
Isn't it fascinating to learn that people from this century-old tribe are the original inhabitants of the region? Did you also know that buffaloes are primarily worshipped by this all vegetarian tribe since its inception? Todas are also popular for their non-violent ways of extracting honey. This undoubtedly proves that they are true nature lovers. What’s even more fascinating is the construction of their houses popularly known as ‘Dogles’. These oval-shaped marvels made of bamboo canes and stones are about 10-feet tall with a door as high as 3-feet tall. You may now be wondering if a person has to literally crawl to get inside and yes this was one of their ways to keep wildlife animals at bay. Well, I also couldn’t take my eyes off the intricate primitive rock paintings on doors dating back to stone-age. Their indigenous hand-woven fabrics in hues of red, black and cream are to die for, literally! Dancing with them to their captivating music, trying to imitate their intriguing moves will be one of the fondest memories to carry forward.
Unwind in Tea Plantations
The never-ending green covers all through Ooty, forms for a brilliant landscape. With dropping temperatures all through the year, you can expect to have a good time visiting tea plantations and exploring tea factories around. Don’t forget to pick up some exotic tea flavours as a souvenir to give away.
Ride the Heritage Train
A trip to Ooty is often incomplete without a ride on the century-old heritage mountain train, overlooking the blue hills, bridges, tunnels, heritage buildings and maiden lakes. It is among the oldest running trains in India and thus sets the place apart from a number of other popular southern destinations.
Bangalore to Ooty Weekend Itinerary
Here are the top spots you'll want to visit for the perfect Ooty experience. A little bit of culture, a little bit of nature, tons of yummy food, and lots of fun!
Botanical Garden
The Ooty Lake, popular for boating
Doddabetta Peak
Rose Garden
Sims Park in Connoor
Pykara Waterfall
Fernhill Palace
St. Stephen’s Church
Avalanche
Dolphin's Nose near Connoor
Pro Tips -
Pack a lot of warm clothes. The climate is night and day different to Bangalore, for example!
Carry an umbrella
Book your tickets for the heritage train ride well in advance because they sell out quickly, especially on the weekends and key holidays
Carry a power bank and extra batteries for your camera
Connect with Sterling Fernhill Resort, Ooty
Sterling’s Ooty Fernhill was not just about exquisite food and stay but more about connecting with nature, exploring the Toda tribe, visiting private tea plantations and exploring chocolate factories. I wore the hat of a local for three days and am glad to have holidayed differently!
