Parika is situated on the right bank of the Essequibo river.It is very popular for its Sunday market.This port has become a major hub for land and water transport.There is a
lot of developments and investments by the private sector, especially in the area of financial services. Parika has more banks than anywhere else in the region.This place has become very popular for its speed boat and ferry service to Supernaam.
