TheRichest, a leading entertainment and lifestyle website, has released a video that names the top 10 most beautiful places in the world, and includes Vietnam’s northern province of Lao Cai.
The website noted that the beautiful man-made rice terraces in Lao Cai help supply the most staple food item for Vietnamese people: rice.
It also explained that rice grain requires a flat surface and lots of water to grow, which isn’t typical in the country, so people had to improvise and figure out an alternate way to grow their food.
“Their endeavours resulted in a beautiful coloured landscape”, says TheRichest.

Nature Reserve of Ngoc Son and Ngo Luong 3days
untouched secret garden inhabited by the Muong people. The deep roots of their ethnic culture and their isolated location have contributed to the preservation of what is a cultural and natural treasure. This is a responsible tourism to promote sustainability according to the priorities of the locals themselves.
While it is essential to preserve the treasures here, it is also important to help the community to improve their (very poor) living conditions. Finding this balance is the challenge that we chose to face in partnership with an NGO LUONG in charge of nature conservation and livelihood improvement in the reserve. Get ready for a very special tour.
DESTINATIONS
• An indescribably lovely valley nestled in the heart of a tall karst mountain range
HIGHLIGHTS
• Light trekking across fairyland scenery: lush forests, blue rivers, and misty waterfalls in a deep valley surrounded by limestone rock formations, palm trees, and bamboo groves.
• Homestay with a Muong family: simple conditions but a warm welcome.

Day 1: Hanoi -- Muong Khen -- Ngo Luong -- Chien -- Mon (-/L/D)
Depart Southwest to Muong Khen and take a smaller road to enter the reserve by its West edge. Enjoy a picnic lunch before embarking on a 15 km bike ride through the reserve. Take your time to ride across the wild, to one of the main villages of the reserve, Mon village, where we will enjoy an authentic Vietnamese dinner and spend the night.
Day 2: Mon -- Khay -- Mu -- Sat (B/L/D)
The reserve has a diverse ecosystem with vivid villages at the sidelines. Embark on light trekking and take dips in the waterfalls along the way. Arrive in Sat village where we will have dinner and spend the night. There, interact with the villagers at a stream and waterfall close by and catch a glimpse of their daily routines and cultural rituals.
Day 3: Sat -- Chien -- Vu Ban -- Hanoi (B/L/-)
Leave for a 3 hour trek before proceeding with a bike ride downhill, out of the reserve. Return to Hanoi for departure .

Cao Bang is 272 km north of Hanoi, a province in the Northeast of Vietnam, bordered with China. There are nine ethnic minorities living in Cao Bang, including the Tay, Nung, Dao, and Hmong.Famous sites include Thang Then Lake in Tra Linh, Ban Gioc Fall in Trung Khanh, and Ba Be Lake in Ba Be.
Ban Gioc Fall is situated in Trung Khanh district in Cao Bang province nears the Sino-Vietnamese border. The echo of the falls can be heard kilometers away from Trung Khanh. Water from Quy Xuan River falling down on the stone creates water droplets columns that can be seen from a distance. The temperature near the waterfall is remarkably cool, due to the water mist in the air.
