With two locations, we are located Marco Island and Everglades City (Chokoloskee). Located just 10 minutes from the beaches of Marco Island; 35 minutes from Naples, one and a half hours from Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Myers & two hours from West Palm Beach, we are a great destination for a day trip. Combine tours in a single day or over several days to enjoy the small town ambience of our waterside community. Be it on foot, bicycle, kayak, canoe, power boat, and/or airplane, you will enjoy a complete experience with Everglades Area Tours.
Our most popular eco-adventure, the Boat Assisted Kayak ECO Tour combines the best of a boat tour, a kayak tour and a walking tour in a single great experience. The tour begins in a very comfortable transport boat that brings you into the Park's core and very near to the wildlife. We then slow down the tour using stable, very comfortable kayaks to get you close to the wildlife. They are silent and unobtrusive for the wildlife and allow you to get closer than by any other means. Finally, we explore the tidal zone of a remote island beach. A beach few can ever get to. Expect to see some magnificent shells here! Imagine paddling next to manatees and dolphins. No previous paddling experience is required, we do not paddle far and we have single as well as two-person kayaks. This tour truly is one of the best ways to experience Everglades National Park.

A Plane Crashed Near Us! Everglades City, Florida 10/2014
While loading our gear to set off for an overnight kayak camping trip we hear a plane crash just on the other side of the mangrove trees next to us. As we head out we see just how close it was. Plane went off end of runway going head first into the water flipping over before coming to a rest.
Visiting Everglades, Wetland in Florida, United States
The Everglades (or Pa-hay-okee) are a natural region of tropical wetlands in the southern portion of the U.S. state of Florida, comprising the southern half of a large watershed. The system begins near Orlando with the Kissimmee River, which discharges into the vast but shallow Lake Okeechobee. Water leaving the lake in the wet season forms a slow-moving river 60 miles (97 km) wide and over 100 miles (160 km) long, flowing southward across a limestone shelf to Florida Bay at the southern end of the state. The Everglades experience a wide range of weather patterns, from frequent flooding in the wet season to drought in the dry season. Writer Marjory Stoneman Douglas popularized the term River of Grass to describe the sawgrass marshes, part of a complex system of interdependent ecosystems that include cypress swamps, the estuarine mangrove forests of the Ten Thousand Islands, tropical hardwood hammocks, pine rockland, and the marine environment of Florida Bay. Everglades Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Everglades in The USA.
The Everglades are a vast expanse of freshwater swamps that cover southern Florida and are located fifty kilometres from Miami. Throughout the year the majority of the six thousand square kilometre national park is covered with the slow flowing water of the Okeechobee River and for thousands of years this unique grassy landscape has been the habitat of numerous fascinating creatures. The alligator is at the top of the Everglades’ food chain. Apart from the water of Lake Okeechobee heavy rainstorms also contribute to the extensive swampland that is predominantly covered with saw grass. More than three hundred and fifty species of bird live in the Everglades among them such majestic specimens as the Everglades Kite that constantly glides on the air currents in search of prey and also the nearly extinct, Wood Stork. The establishment of the Everglades as a national park rescued a unique biosphere and it continues to be a place of natural enchantment and glorious mystique right up to the present day.

Everglades Flats Fishing 10 2 2017
This video was very special to me and to my close family and friends because this was the first trip out to the Everglades National park flats after hurricane Irma ravaged the place. It was a sort of test. I was feeling pretty scared of taking our Skeeter Bay boat out because of the reports of downed trees submerged in the water and also sunken boats. Regardless, we knew we had to push our selves to foraging into unknown conditions. I did have a couple of Captains help with getting me inside information about the regions current condition before heading out there. We came up with a plan and put it into gear. From my stand point of view after navigating through the area I do believe this place had gotten torn up worse a few years ago when an earlier storm visited the place. As far as Chokoloskee and Everglades City is concerned, they did get hit hard. All businesses were still closed, lots of personal belongings piled up by the road side and all buildings at ground level suffered from flooding related damage. Onto the bright side, the fishing was red hot as far as the Snook catch was concerned. Yes the outside tips of the islands lost plenty of foliage and many areas known by many as hot spots were completely rearranged by nature. All in all, I know that the locals will have the place up and running in a short time. At the end of the trip, I was delighted to have forced myself to get back into the waters we love so much. The South West region of Florida, The Everglades National Park is indeed an incredible place, before and after the storm! Everglades, Florida, USA
During our trip in Florida, we went to the Everglades. In the south, just 35 miles away from Miami, you can find the Everglades Nationals Park. It is the third-largest national park in the United States. You can either do your Everglades tour on your own or join one of the plenty guided Everglades tours. No matter what you choose, you can definitely expect a great experience. Exploring the wilderness of the Everglades National Park is really fascinating. The Everglades National Park is the home of a lot of rare and threatened species, such as the American crocodile, Florida panther, manatee, brown pelican, southern bald eagle and loggerhead turtle. If you´re lucky, you might see some of them during your Everglades tour. I´m pretty sure you will see some crocodiles, because they are widely spread. We have only been there for one day and we´ve seen a lot of crocodiles. During our stay we didn´t have nice weather, it was very cold and windy, which is really untypical for Florida. But if you go there I can only advice you to bring plenty of mosquito repellent. You should also take a map on your Everglades tour, especially if you go on your own. I think you can do a really nice day trip to the Everglades National Park, but if you want to, you can also stay longer and take lots of beautiful Everglades photos.
