KYOTO, JAPAN - 5 DAY TRAVEL ITINERARY ( DAY TRIPS - NARA & OSAKA ) - JAPAN VLOG
We finally got the opportunity to visit an eagerly-awaited bucket-list destination of ours - JAPAN!!
We got flights from London Heathrow to Kansai Airport. We explored Japan for nearly three weeks and were lucky to cover a lot of the places we wanted to visit.
The first stop/city in our trip was KYOTO.
Kyoto is a must-visit place for any trip to Japan. It is full of Buddhist temples, Shrines and Zen Gardens. It offers a true blend of modern and historic Japan, with a strong emphasis on the cultural aspects of Japanese life. It is not as technology-focussed as Tokyo, so offers you the chance to experience the traditional aspects of Japanese culture and history.
To say that we enjoyed our time in Kyoto is a complete understatement. We truly loved our experience of this city and the surrounding areas, and will definitely be back soon to explore the areas we weren't able to cover in this trip.
This is our 5 DAY TRAVEL GUIDE for Kyoto and some of the nearby must-visit places to Kyoto.

25 Things to do in Osaka | Japan Travel Guide ????????
In this Japan travel guide, we are sharing 25 things to do in Osaka!
Affectionately known as Japan’s Kitchen, Osaka was the first stop of our trip to Japan and a wonderful place to eat! We dove straight into the local cuisine visiting markets, street food stalls, and restaurants that required ordering from ticket vending machines.

Transportation in Osaka, Japan:
Now a quick note on transportation in Osaka (大阪市). When it comes to getting around the city, subways and trains are your best bet.
We spent our first few days buying one-way tickets and day passes, which in retrospect was a bit of a headache. The easiest thing to do is to get a prepaid card where you can load money as needed.
Osaka’s version of this card is called Icoca, but you can also use Pasmo and Suica in the city.
And that’s a wrap for our Osaka travel guide. We hope you found this video helpful and that it gave you some ideas of things to do in Osaka on your own trip.
If you have any other suggestion of things to do in Osaka that you think we missed on this visit, feel free to share your suggestions with fellow travellers in the comments below.

Best Things To Do In Kobe, Japan (+ day trips from Kobe)
From taking in the views from Kobe’s Port Tower and the ferris wheel, to exploring the old district of Kitano or getting lost in colourful streets of Chinatown, these are the top things to do in Kobe, Japan.
After my first trip to Japan last year, I was SO excited to be invited back to explore some more of the country. This time I was off to Kobe, a city around an hour west of the metropolis of Osaka.
So why go to Kobe, Japan? What is Kobe famous for? First up, the food. Kobe beef is reckoned to be some of the best beef in the world (more on that coming up).
What else? Well this year is a particularly big year for the city. The Rugby World Cup 2019 is taking place this autumn, and Kobe is one of 12 host cities. In fact, England’s second match against the USA is taking place at Kobe Misaki Stadium. I imagine the atmosphere in the city will be incredible!
So whether you’re heading to Kobe for the Rugby World Cup and looking for a few things to do between matches, or you’re planning a visit for your next holiday, it’s time to show you the best things to do in Kobe and the surrounding areas including Osaka, Himeji and Arima Onsen!

Kobe - SHOPPING STREETS
Shopping in Kobe is ubiquitous but luckily it’s all within walking distance. When you first arrive at Sannomiya Station, you’ll be greeted by department stores like SOGO and OIOI where you can get many luxury fashion items. But if you’re into more the local shopping scene then it’s a must to venture into the shopping streets, also known as shotengai.
Kobe KYUKYORYUCHI
When Kobe it’s international port in 1868, this foreign settlement was constructed. Designed by British Civil engineers the 126 blocks were auctioned to western foreigners. 70% of the buildings were destroyed after the World War II air raids in 1945. Kobe city decided preserved the remaining buildings as cultural properties.
