Fanø Museum formidler historien om dagliglivet på Fanø i gamle dage. Manden til søs på langfarten og de meget selvstændige hustruer der forvaltede familien, ejendommen og det lille landbrug.

Fanø Art Museum in Sønderho
Fanø Art Museum was established in 1992 in Soenderho in a listed building from 1868 which was originally grocery store and ship chandler. The basis of Fano Art Museum, was created by the local artist Ruth Heinemann, who in the 1950s began collecting paintings dating back to the 1850s.
From the mid 1800s many artists left Copenhagen in searched of the distinctive Danish, in accordance with national romantic currents. The love of the fatherland was important after the loss of Norway, a national bankruptcy, the Schleswig wars and the loss of Suthern Jutland to Prussia in 1864.
Most of the artists didn't live on the island, but but only stayed for a time and, with the exception of Julius Exner (1825-1910) they were particularly concerned with maritime motifs.
Later a more permanent colony of artists established itself , and today Fanø Art Museum holds more than 1100 paintings, with relation to Fanø by subject or artist. The museum's purpose is to convey visual arts associated with the island and the region, and the collection spans from the 1800s romantic depictions of life on Fanø, to the works of contemporary artists.

Skipperbyen Nordby på Fanø
Nordby ligger nord på Fanø, og er øens hovedstad med købsadspræg, ca. 2.800 af Fanøs godt 3.200 indbyggere, færgeforbindelse til Esbjerg og et rigt udvalg af butikker og institutioner. Samtidig er Nordby en usædvanlig smuk by med stor mængde velbevarede gamle huse fra det 18. og 19. århundrede.

Luft Under Vingerne på Fanø er en af 26 nye Panorama cykelruter i Danmark. Denne tur tager dig forbi den smukkeste natur på Fanø og til steder, hvor de fleste turister ikke kommer.
Ruten er særdeles børnevenlig, da den gå ad sikre stier og forbi attraktioner som stranden og Skovlegepladsen.

The Maritime Village Sønderho, Fanø
Sønderho is located on the southern end of Fanø, and was recently celebrated as the most beautiful village in Denmark.
Sønderho is a maritime village dating from the early 16th century. The maritime development resulted in great economic progress during the 18th and 19th century, when the development stagnated due to los of tonnage and lives at sea by ordinary shipwreck, as well as war with the British, from 1807 to 1814. However this negative development saved Sønderho from modernization and preserved it as a unique village unity, approximately anno 1860, and a historical and cultural gem of true international significance.

Denne trailer er et udklip fra DVD'en Hilsen fra Sønderho, et elektronisk postkort fra Sønderho, Fanø. Denne video viser dig rundt i Danmarks Smukkeste Landsby - Sønderho (valgt ved en landsdækkende konkurrence). Videoen har skønne toner af lokal musik spillet af den lokale spillemand Peter Uhrbrand. DVD'en kan købes i lokale butikker og forskellige steder (bl.a. museer) rundt om på Fanø.
This trailer is taken from the DVD Hilsen fra Sønderho, an electronic postcard from Sonderho, Fanoe. The video shows you around in Denmarks most beautiful village - Sonderho (elected through a competition in the entire country). The video is followed by wonderful local tunes performed by the local musician Peter Uhrbrand. The DVD is for sale in local shops and various places (museums etc.) on Fanoe.

This video was produced as a stand-alone regular Fanø tourist film, to be used in Fanø Cinema, as a welcoming presentation offered new coming tourists, featuring an array of sights, events and stories. It is thus a medley of most of the already uploaded VideoGuide sections and some from upcoming new sections, and resembles the channel presentation video, though longer and more elaborate.

En musikvideo hvor klip fra Fanó VideoGuides indslag fra Sønderho ledsager Den Danske Strygekvartets nyskabende fremførelse af Sønderhos brudesuite. Suiten udgøres af tre stykker traditionel folkemusik med oprindelse i den stadig levende tradition på Fanø og i Sønderho. Stykkerne repræsenterer ægteskabets tre elementer: det søde det sure og det bitre, som i strygekvartettens aldeles eminente fortolkng gives en enestående dybde.

A music video where footage from Fano Video Guide's features from Sønderho accompanies the Danish String Quartet's innovative performance of the unique Sønderho Bridal Suite. The Suite consists of three pieces of traditional folk music originating from the still-vibrant tradition of Fano and Sønderho. The pieces represent the marriage of three elements: the sweet, the sour and the bitter, given here in unique depth in the utterly-brilliant interpretation of the Danish String Quartet.
