About and Around Hanoi Vietnam - The Cooking Class
We took a cooking class in a private home when we visited Hanoi, Vietnam. It was pretty cool. We booked through DiscoverMekong.com.
A scenic hour-long drive brings you to the charming village of Van Giang -- the rural villages around Vietnam's capital Hanoi which offer a glimpse into country life largely untouched by commercial development. Our tour takes you to an area which is cradled in the Red River Delta -- here visit an ancient temple with superb architecture, a country style market where an abundance of produce can be seen and meet a local family in their home for lunch. Enjoy a cup of green tea as get acquainted with your hosts and hear history of the village.
Cu chi tour and farm cooking class
It’s a new and great way to spend a day in Saigon. Start in the city center by minivan then hop on the sidecar for a local ride to reach cu chi tunnels, the world longest tunnels underground. After that we go to a local family to learn how to cook best Vietnamese family food, that was awesome , thank you chef An.

Banh Mi 25 - The best banh mi restaurant in Hanoi!
Phuong is running the family business now. He learned how to make sandwiches and pate from his father, who learned it from the French people he was working for in the war. On the 4th floor of their tiny thin house they make the pate every day, it takes them 4 hours. They have become one of the most populair Banh My places in Hanoi and for a good reason. Banh Mi 25.

I (Loes Heerink) am a Dutch photographer. I work on series I feel are meaningful. Series that tell something, an injustice or a beauty overlooked. My first photoseries Merchants in Motion is available as a book and as limited edition art. Merchants in Motion shows the beauty of Vietnamese Street Vendors. Hard workers, often female migrants whom are often overlooked. I am currently working on a series about Farmers and Growers, trying to reconnect people to the where food comes from and what it takes to produce food. And I am working on a series about lost fantasy. Ageing often means losing touch with your fantasy side. Loes is trying to show people to look at ordinary things in a different way, hopefully showing that fantasy, playfulness and creativity isn't gone and is in fact all around us.

GIANT JELLYFISH Catch and Cook - Vietnam Street Food - Vietnam Seafood
Rare scenes of jellyfish catch and cook in Vietnam. In this country, jellyfish season is from April to June when fishermen go off shore 3-4 km to catch fresh giant jellyfish. Vietnamese people make delicious Vietnam street food from jellyfish, such as jellyfish salad, salted jellyfish and jellyfish noodles. In Vietnam, jellyfish is not only affordable seafood but also popular street food in summer. Yes, jellyfish is edible so pay attention to the way people catch, process and cook jellyfish in Vietnam. By doing so, jellyfish is turned into ready to eat Vietnam seafood meals without losing any nutrition. Vietnam jellyfish seafood or Vietnam jellyfish street food are deserved to be a local delicacy in South East Asian cuisines.

AREOLATA SEA SNAIL Catch and Cook - Vietnam Street Food - Vietnam Seafood
Authentic scenes of areolata sea snail catch and cook in Vietnam. Thank you Cuibap Sam for beautiful underwater footage. The footage was taken at his areolata sea snail farm in Vietnam. Underwater footage credit to him - Cuibap Sam. Areolata sea snail season in Vietnam is around the year. However, areolata sea snail tastes the best in summer and autumn where it gets the maximum size. Areolata sea snail is expensive street food and seafood in Vietnam, around 30-40 USD per kilogram. Given its premium quality, Vietnamese people make delicious Vietnam street food from areolata sea snail, such as grilled areolata sea snail with lemongrass, boiled ginger areolata sea snail, sweet and sour areolata sea snail. Personally, I think steaming is the greatest way to turn areolata sea snail into ready to eat Vietnam seafood meals without losing any nutrition. In Vietnam, people love street food and sea food from areolata snail because of its aroma, sweet and tender texture. FYI, areolata sea snail is farmed at large scale in Vietnam so pay attention to the way people feed, catch, process and cook areolata sea snail over there. By doing so, there is enough areolata sea snail for the high dinning demand in Vietnam. Vietnam sea snail seafood or Vietnam areolata sea snail street food are attracting many hungry foreign eaters to come to this country.
