2. More About This Video ????
⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯
Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter can be really confusing! So many winding streets, so many tourists, so much to see! But it’s actually quite a small area, and it’s one of the most magical collections of 13-15th century buildings in the world.
And did you know that Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter is actually built on the remains of a 2,000 year old Roman settlement?
Also, not everything is as it seems in the Gothic Quarter. There are lots of secrets in this part of the city, but you have to know where to find them. I will show you!
To sum it up, the Gothic Quarter is a place you really need to visit. It’s also called the Barrio Gótico in Spanish and the Barri Gòtic in Catalan.
In this video I take you to XXXX of the must-see sites in the Gothic Quarter. These are places we visit and you’ll learn about on Devour Tour’s Tapas, Taverns & History Tour.
At each stop in the video, I give you some information behind the history of the area, and also a little Google marker with the name of the street or square so you can find it yourself.
So, where do we visit?
1. Plaça Nova - where the entry point to the Roman town was
2. Carrer del Paradís - where there is an amazing Roman temple
3. Behind the Cathedral - where you can see lots of hidden symbols
4. General Archive of the Crown of Aragon
5. Plaça del Rei - did Columbus stand on these steps?
6. Pont del Bisbe - the most photographed site in all of Barcelona… but it’s not as old as it seems!
7. Jewish Quarter (El Call) - a fascinating little tangle of streets with a long history
8. Plaça Sant Felipe Neri - my favourite square in the city… and with a dark secret
9. Plaça Sant Jaume - the perfect place to decode the Catalan independence issue
10. Pont de Mar - the exit point of the old Roman city!

What’s the weather like in Barcelona?
Well, its mostly sunny. The temperature sits at around 23 and above, right the way from May through to October. And the hottest months are July and August, when the temperatures can get to 30 degrees and more.
Even in the Winter it’s still pretty warm. It’s kind of the mid-teens, 13-14 degrees, so you should expect a nice warm Christmas.
If you’re looking for that really hot, dry heat that’s great for holidays, then you need to hit Barcelona between May and the end of July.
August is the hottest month though. It’s super duper humid. When you’re walking around it feels a little bit like you’re in a sauna.

EF Tours 2013- Spain: Barcelona, Zaragoza, Toledo, and Madrid
A teacher from the Rio Rancho High School, took 5 of his students and one parent on a trip to Spain. Flying 3 hours to Atlanta, Georgia, having a 5 hour layover, and flying 8 hours and 15 minutes to Barcelona, Spain. Then touring all of Barcelona, Las Ramblas, Barceloneta, uhh a lot of other places that I cannot remember the name of, we took a 6 hour drive to Madrid, Spain after 3 days spent in Barcelona. On our way to Madrid, we stopped half way to Zaragoza, and visited the Cathedral and also saw a bridge built by the Romans that is still standing to this day. Once in Madrid we toured it all and made our way to Toledo just an hour outside Madrid. We spent our last day in Spain making our way to the center of Spain and then made our way back home. 7 days, 168 hours, all jammed into 13 minutes!!(: enjoy!!
***DISCLAIMER!!! I am absolutely sorry if the quality of the images are not visible. I had to make the speed very fast other wise you would be watching about an hour long video and no one would want to watch that. But feel free to pause at any time, because everything about Spain is beautiful!!

25 Things to do in Barcelona, Spain | Top Attractions Travel Guide Video Transcript:
This week we are exploring another Spanish city. We are in Barcelona and this video is going to highlight 25 things to do here.
It is kind of hard to believe our time in Barcelona has expired. So final thoughts.
Well, it was a really fun city to visit. Great architecture, really nice beaches. It is very lively especially at night. The only downfall is that we were here in the middle of summer so it was super hot and super crowded and sometimes that made it a little bit difficult to enjoy. Especially at midday or in the mid-afternoon. So keep that in mind. Maybe consider visiting in the springtime, fall, winter.
Well, so what did you think of the city?
It is definitely a fun city. We had a lot of fun going to the beaches. One thing that is really different about this city compared to some other European cities though is that it is really spread out. In order for us to visit all of these different attractions we had to chunk them together into groups to visit them day by day. Overall, it was a decent city. It didn't quite click with me the same way that Madrid did. But that is just personal preference I suppose.
And that is a wrap for Barcelona! Our 5 days in the city flew by, and while this guide didn't cover everything, we hope we were able to give you a feel of what this fun seaside city has to offer. As always, if you have any suggestions of things to do around town, feel free to add them in the comments below. And if you want to catch our latest travel videos, don't forget to hit subscribe!
