China Tourism - Ancient Fenghuang town
Ancient Fenghuang, a village in central China, used to be a frontier town, separating the Han civilization from the Miao and Dong minorities. It was an important regional center for trade and cultural exchange.
The riverside setting of the village, with its wooden stilt houses and narrow mysterious back alleys, makes it one of the most attractive places in the region.
These days, it has become a major tourist destination. While some traditions remain, much of the town has been set up to cater for the influx of new visitors, in some ways changing the face of the village beyond recognition.
Either way, Fenghuang provides an interesting glimpse of the many challenges and contrasts that exist in China today.

Kota tua di China yang diakui unesco yaitu Fenghuang terletak di Changsa China. Kota ini benar benar masih autentik banget, seperti kembali ke masa lampau. sungai yang indah dikelilingi bangunan kuno benar benar pemandangan yang dramatik. bukan hanya sampai disitu saja, malam hari hiasan lampu benar benar amazing, dan yg paling oke, penuh dengan street food.
jika ada kesempatan, tidak ada salahnya mengunjungi kota tua autentik China di Fenghuang. video ini sedikit mengambarkan keindahan kota Fenghuang, aslinya lebih indah lagi.

Dapeng Fortress/大所城鹏 - Shenzhen's ancient villages
Shenzhen is usually not associated with history, but Dapeng Fortress/大鹏所城 will take you back as far as 1394 to a time where the local fishermen tried to defend their homes and life against the intruding Japanese sea pirates and it was a key battle site in the Opium Wars in the 19th century. As Guanlan Original Printmaking Base and Fenghuang Village, Dapeng Fortress is also one of the.ancient villages here in Shenzhen. It is a lovely and tranquil place which should be on your To-Do List when you are here. There are currently also one or two guesthouses you can spend a night and restaurants in people's homes.

Guanlan Original Printmaking Base - Shenzhen's ancient villages
It is time to show you guys another ancient village here in Shenzhen so I drove up north to Guanlan to check out the Guanlan Original Printmaking Base and to my surprise found out that there is a Hard Rock Hotel under construction.
At the International Artists Village are more than 20 sets of ancient and traditional Hakka Houses, nearly 300 years old and surrounded with a lotus pond, half-moon pool and farmland.
Guanlan Original Printmaking Base is located at the hometown of the famous printmaker Mr. Chen Yanqiao, who is the pioneer of Chinese New Woodcut Movement; he is also a famous art theorist and educator. Guanlan Printmaking base abuts on Guanlan Mission Hills Golf Club.

Fenghuang Ancient Town
Fenghuang Ancient Town (or Phoenix Ancient Town) is a national-level famous town for its history and culture. This small town boasts the Pearl of West Hunan Province. Hemmed in by rolling mountains and watered by a smoothly flowing river, flagstone streets, rows of traditional wooden houses built on stilts, towers, bridges everywhere, small boats rowed down the river, that's a portrait of Fenghuang. It's an authentic ancient town not too touristy.

Fenghuang county is in the Hunan province, China. Home to a small population of Miao and Tujia minorities, the ancient town is very charming with restored city wall along the south bank of the Tuo river.
We traveled by bus in our backpacks from Zhangjiajie to this ancient picturesque town in December 2011. The wooden and stone bridges over the river and the unique traditional stilt houses made this ancient town picture perfect!
