Trip to Ferndale, CA (in Humboldt County) to see the Kinetic Sculpture Race. Drove from my house in Escondido in Clark's PT Cruiser. Stopped at Clear Lake, CA to see friends and then up through the redwood highway. Visited and camped in the yard of a friend in Arcata that worked at Humboldt State University and then watched the race from different locations. It was a great adventure. On the way home we stopped in Sacramento and toured the Railroad Museum. This trip is divided into three parts.
