Swinsty & Fewston's reservoir water levels are as low as I've ever seen them, revealing the amazing architectural stone work, laid down by the Victorians. It's not often its so low you can paddle across the pretty sand banks. The Doug (Dog) loves a midweek walk around this place, particularly when it's hot.

Swinsty and Timble- Mountain Biking
This is the skills loop near swinsty and fewston reservoir. A nice flowy trail.
Directions: Park at the swinsty and fewston car park. then cycle left out of the car park for about 20 meters. There will then be a path on your right. Go along that until you reach a crossroad. Turn left and follow the path all the way up the hill, until you are near the road. There should be a path on the right, which is the start of the trail.

SUNNY WALK AROUND SWINSTY & FEWSTON RESERVOIRS | VLOG
Hi everyone,
After the typical British summer weather these last few weeks, yesterday was the first time it's actually been nice enough for us to get out and about. We decided to head out to #NorthYorkshire for a #walk around Swinsty and Fewston reservoirs. We had a gorgeous walk and obviously, it was the perfect opportunity for me to get more photos and filming.
I decided I'd share this with you all, mainly for those of you who will never get the opportunity to visit this beautiful area. I ever any of you are on holiday in North Yorkshire, I'd definitely recommend going along to the reservoirs for a walk.
In fact, I have written an article (for the website, Baldhiker) on this place, I'll pop the link in here, in case anyone would like to read it and learn more about the area in greater detail.
I did actually tell a bit fat fib(!) which I do apologise for and do correct it, with my own video interruption.

Fewston is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England. It is situated north of Otley and close to Swinsty and Fewston reservoirs.
The Church of St Michael and St Lawrence is the village church. The majority of the building was constructed in 1697, although the tower dates from the 14th century.[2]
History Fewston was an ancient parish in the Forest of Knaresborough in the West Riding of Yorkshire. It covered a wide area, and included the townships of Blubberhouses, Clifton with Norwood, Great Timble, and Thruscross.[3] All these places became separate civil parishes in 1866.[4] Fewston was transferred to the new county of North Yorkshire in 1974.
