Lake Michigan Charter Boat Fishing on the Love It Grand Haven, MI
Took some of the team out with Love It Fishing Charters out of Grand Haven Michigan Salmon Fishing..... AWESOME!!
I Found the BEST SPOT!! Incredible Pike Fishing
Floating an unfamiliar river for some super aggressive pike. I searched around for a while, and then found one of the best pike holes I've fished in a while!
Fly rod: 9' 8wt Orvis Clearwater rod (4 piece)
Reel: Waterworks‑Lamson Liquid Fly Reel 3.5
Line: 8wt scientific anglers fly line, 20lb tapered flouro leader with a 20lb RIO wire tippet.
Rod/reel setup:
-Quantum Octane 6'6 medium heavy action rod with an Abu Garcia silver max and 30lb braided line, connected to a 27lb 9 steel leader.
***The rod and reel I was using is a cheap setup, and I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. I only use it at the river in case something happens, I'd rather break that than an expensive rod/reel.
Fishtown Needs Your Help
Fishtown is a Historical District in Leland, Michigan, comprised of a collection of weathered fishing shanties, smokehouses, overhanging docks, commercial fishing tugs and charter boats along the Leland River, as it flows into Lake Michigan. Fishtown is one of the only working waterfronts left on the Great Lakes, where visitors and locals are able to experience an authentic connection to local and regional history, Great Lakes commercial fishing, and maritime traditions. Today the shanties are filled with unique shops, and an active fishery. Fishtown Preservation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, owns Fishtown — maintaining and preserving the historical integrity of the property and ensuring that it continues to be publicly accessible now and for future generations with the support of the community and donors.
Fishtown Preservation has spent the last four years preparing to improve Fishtown’s infrastructure, including rehabilitating three shanties — the Village Cheese Shanty, Carlson’s Fishery and the Morris Shanty. The situation is now urgent due to high water damage. In the last two years, high Lake Michigan water levels and greater flow over the Leland Dam have created additional structural issues. The Fishtown docks need to be entirely replaced. The shanty foundations require more extensive foundation work than originally planned. Construction and materials costs continue to increase. Happy Khmer New Year - April 13,14-2016
Happy Khmer New Years -April 13,14-2016 to everyone and I wish everyone a great years. I am proud to be Cambodian I don't mean to make fun of ours culture in any way I just think some of the stuff we do during New Years are pretty funny in a good way so please don't take it personal. Plus, everything I mention are base on the truth at least that what we do during New Years. So... Happy Khmer New Years to everyone!
New Information:
After I upload this video I was told that Khmer New Years are 3 days and it's okay to clean but not to sweep the floor which I personally don't see the difference it is still cleaning lol. Anyway, now I hope everyone is satisfied. The reason why I wasn't so sure in exactly how many days is because her in USA the Monks make it a little different they tend to celebrated on the weekends too even if the New Year is on weekdays they also carry the New Year to another weekends just so people that are busy at work get a chance to go to the temple and so that's why I am confused. Once again, I did mention I am not so sure on the video how many days so please don't take it personal.
PS: I Just want to share with everyone a little bit about our culture base on what I know from someone that grow up here in the United States so please don't expect a indept review I never said I know it all so please understand.
Evening Trip to Holland State Park for the Sunset
Took an evening trip to the beach. This beach is about 30 minutes from our house. Thanks for watching!
No Roads, No Cars, Just Boats
Most of us town-and-city dwellers spend our days pounding hard, paved ground. But in Giethoorn, Holland, residents float through canals. Built without roads, a series of waterways and bridges connect the town’s 2,400 residents. This incredible aquatic infrastructure has even earned the town the nickname “Little Venice.” We have to admit, a life without asphalt, gridlock and the DMV sounds pretty enchanting.
