Join me on probably my annual highlight for 2017; a trip on board British Airways First Class. We travel from London Heathrow Airport deep into the heart of Texas, to Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
Having arrived from Stockholm, Sweden, the video takes us through flight connections and up into the British Airways Concorde Room, where I have a private cabana booked for a couple of hours. I also manage a spot of lunch in the dining area, as well as a spa treatment at the Elemis day spa next door.
Our flight was perfect, with an excellent crew who were very attentive and professional. BA sometimes fall short on food, but the dining experience was excellent, with everything presented to me being very tasty indeed.

This vlog is about flying to London, England from Tirana, Albania. I've taken a few flights to London in my time but this was certainly an around the back way as I had to make a short layover in Istanbul as I was flying with Turkish Airlines.
Day starts with a quick ride to the airport followed by a short flight and an even shorter stay in Istanbul. After that it was a quick flight to London and boom, back in England. What's cool is I got to fly over London on a sunny day so I really got to grasp just how huge a city it is; London is MASSIVE.
I really love visiting London because it's such a busy and cosmopolitan city; there is always something happening and any night can be a great night.

London's Heathrow International Airport - LHR
Heathrow Airport is a major international airport in west London, England. Heathrow is the busiest airport in the United Kingdom, busiest airport in Europe by passenger traffic, and third busiest airport in the world by total passenger traffic. In 2014, it handled a record 73.4 million passengers, a 1.4 percent increase from 2013.
Heathrow lies 12 nautical miles (22 km; 14 mi) west of Central London, and has two parallel east–west runways along with four operational terminals on a site that covers 12.14 square kilometres (4.69 sq mi). The airport is owned and operated by Heathrow Airport Holdings, which itself is owned by FGP TopCo Limited, an international consortium led by the Spanish Ferrovial Group that includes Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and Government of Singapore Investment Corporation. Heathrow is the primary hub for British Airways and the primary operating base for Virgin Atlantic.
In September 2012, the UK government established the Airports Commission, an independent commission chaired by Sir Howard Davies to examine various options for increasing capacity at UK airports. The commission shortlisted two options for expanding Heathrow in its interim report in 2013, along with a third option for expanding Gatwick Airport. The final report, published on 1 July 2015, backed a third runway at Heathrow.

Flight Review from London Heathrow to Manchester with British Airways on Airbus A320
This video reviews British Airways' flight from London Heathrow (LHR) to Manchester (MAN) in July 2017.
Video includes footage from the North Galleries Club lounge at Heathrow Terminal 5, take-offs, on-board service and landing of the outbound and in-flight footage. A short but very convenient domestic flight (train fares are often more expensive and flying is much faster and relaxing than driving on a Friday evening).
BA is the only airline on this route. Passengers from Manchester can enjoy a faster access to BA's vast European and international network (KLM and Emirates attract many customers from the midlands to their route network).
The outbound flight BA 1402 was operated by an Airbus 320 registration G-EUUW. This aircraft first flew in 2008.
BA recently introduced a club/business cabin for domestic flights. I was tempted but will try it for a longer flight (LHR-MAN is only 30 mins long).
At 1:44, you will also see the new biometric boarding gates. In March 2017, I understand that BA was the first airline in the world to use such biometric self-boarding gates (based on facial recognition). Passengers' biometric data is captured when passing through security (at 0:31) and matched against the data scanned at the gate. When this video was shot, the boarding gates are used for domestic departures. More units to be installed in the coming months.
Good experience overall. Whenever possible I prefer to travel without a checked bag, the queues at the self bag drop should be a concern for BA and passengers should be given a choice between self bag drop and a staffed counter.

Jet Airways 9W116 Mumbai to London Heathrow Boeing-777 flight experience

I flew the Jet Airways 9W116 to London from Mumbai Terminal 2 on the 29th Oct 2017 in economy class seat 57K.
This was the inaugural flight of their third daily service to LHR from Mumbai.
Having had a nice experience with Air India on the same route in May 2017..my expectations were a bit high from Jet Airways, but I believe they are let down by an ageing aircraft (as compared to Air India's fleet), not so great menu for the economy class passengers amongst other things like the IFE.
Its a bit long video and i have recorded and edited with my existing set of equipment.
