A1A WATERSPORTS / OUT AND ABOUT
Gulf of Mexico - Islamorada Florida
Islamorada, a Village of Islands, is an incorporated village in Monroe County, Florida, United States. It is located on the islands of Tea Table Key, Lower Matecumbe Key, Upper Matecumbe Key, Windley Key and Plantation Key in the Florida Keys.
Saltwater fishing boats vary widely in length and are once again specialized for various species of fish. Flats boats, for example, are used in protected, shallow waters, and have shallow draft. Sportfishing boats range from 25' to 80' or more, and can be powered by large outboard engines or inboard diesels. Fishing boats in colder climates may have more space dedicated to cuddy cabins and wheelhouses, while boats in warmer climates are likely to be entirely open.
The Florida Keys are a coral cay archipelago located off the southern coast of Florida, forming the southernmost portion of the continental United States. They begin at the southeastern coast of the Florida peninsula, about 15 miles (24 km) south of Miami, and extend in a gentle arc south-southwest and then westward to Key West, the westernmost of the inhabited islands, and on to the uninhabited Dry Tortugas. The islands lie along the Florida Straits, dividing the Atlantic Ocean to the east from the Gulf of Mexico to the northwest, and defining one edge of Florida Bay. At the nearest point, the southern part of Key West is just 90 miles (140 km) from Cuba. The Florida Keys are between about 23.5 and 25.5 degrees North latitude, in the subtropics. The climate of the Keys is defined as tropical according to Köppen climate classification. More than 95 percent of the land area lies in Monroe County, but a small portion extends northeast into Miami-Dade County, such as Totten Key. The total land area is 137.3 square miles (356 km2). As of the 2000 census the population was 79,535, with an average density of 579.27 per square mile (223.66/km2), although much of the population is concentrated in a few areas of much higher density, such as the city of Key West, which has 32% of the entire population of the Keys.
The city of Key West is the county seat of Monroe County. The county consists of a section on the mainland which is almost entirely in Everglades National Park, and the Keys islands from Key Largo to the Dry Tortugas.

The Florida Keys Vlog-Islamorada, Key Largo, Key West
We went on a trip to the Florida Keys! We stayed at the Post Card Inn in Islamorada, Florida. I would recommend this resort if you are going to the keys! It has two pools, two beach areas, paddle boarding, kayaking, shuffle board, ping pong and more. A starbucks is in the resort along with a few restaurants. We went fishing on Sailor’s Choice Party Boat. It was a great experience and we ended up catching a ton of fish! Sailor’s choice cleaned the fish for us and then we took it to Sharky’s restaurant and they cooked the fish into a meal! Another must do in Islamorada is going to Robbies! Not only is there a yummy restaurant to eat at but they also have HUGE Tarpon that you can feed! Last but not least we went snorkeling at Alligator Reef Lighthouse through Sundance Water Sports! They leave from Robbies so you can feed the Huge Tarpon, go snorkeling and then eat a good meal! I hope you enjoyed watching! Head over to my instagram to see more awesome pictures from the trip!
