Everglades Area Tours
Everglades Area Tours welcomes you to the very edge of the Florida's Last Frontier. The splendid natural world of Everglades National Park and the 10,000 Islands opens to our guests with a variety of Guided Eco Adventures.
Sea kayak the Everglades; canoe through magnificent mangrove tunnels; enjoy a guided birding & wildlife photo boat tour in the 10,000 Islands; experience kayak fishing in the Everglades National Park backcountry; enjoy a guided walking tour amongst old-growth cypress hammocks, prairies, wetlands and sloughs in search of rare orchid; catch tarpon, redfish and snook on a guided fishing trip; take a private birding or photography tour; rent a sea kayak, canoe or fishing kayak for the day; or hang out with us at JT's on Chokoloskee Island three miles south of Everglades City.
With two locations, we are located Marco Island and Everglades City (Chokoloskee). Located just 10 minutes from the beaches of Marco Island; 35 minutes from Naples, one and a half hours from Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Myers & two hours from West Palm Beach, we are a great destination for a day trip. Combine tours in a single day or over several days to enjoy the small town ambience of our waterside community. Be it on foot, bicycle, kayak, canoe, power boat, and/or airplane, you will enjoy a complete experience with Everglades Area Tours.
Our most popular eco-adventure, the Boat Assisted Kayak ECO Tour combines the best of a boat tour, a kayak tour and a walking tour in a single great experience. The tour begins in a very comfortable transport boat that brings you into the Park's core and very near to the wildlife. We then slow down the tour using stable, very comfortable kayaks to get you close to the wildlife. They are silent and unobtrusive for the wildlife and allow you to get closer than by any other means. Finally, we explore the tidal zone of a remote island beach. A beach few can ever get to. Expect to see some magnificent shells here! Imagine paddling next to manatees and dolphins. No previous paddling experience is required, we do not paddle far and we have single as well as two-person kayaks. This tour truly is one of the best ways to experience Everglades National Park.
Nine Mile Pond Canoe Trip - Everglades NP, Florida
Relax and enjoy the half-day adventure as we canoe through the Florida Everglades National Park's Nine Mile Pond. We were the first ones out on this bright January morning and we did not see anyone on the five mile trail. The rest of the tourists were all behind us! We had the complete pond and trail system to ourselves; charmed again! It also helped getting up at 4am! We were amazed when we returned to a full parking lot just before noon.

At the End of the Road: Flamingo
Flamingo is a special place in Everglades National Park where mainland habitats merge with the waters of Florida Bay. This is 55 miles southwest of Miami and a world away from busy city life. Flamingo is the jumping off point for recreation like world-class fishing, birding, canoeing, boat tours, camping and hiking.
Exploring Collier Seminole's Paddling Trail and Camping at GroceryPlace ver.1.2 HD
We did an overnight kayak paddling trip on Collier Seminole State Parks Paddle Trail, doing their 13.5 miles trail in a counterclockwise direction. It turned out to be 14.5 miles according to our Garmin GPS. We took the short route to the campsite on the first night(5 miles) going through 'Mud Bay' which is only passable during high tide and we got there a little early with the tide coming in through both channels we had to wait a little bit to become 'floating' again. The second day after camping at Grocery Place we came back the long way around south and then up the Black Water River all the way to the Boat Ramp at the State Park where we started(9.5 miles).
Collier-Seminole State Park - RV Camping in the Everglades
We had a great RV Camping trip at Collier-Seminole State Park south of Naples FL. We did a guided canoe trip that was really informative. We also went to the beach at Marco Island. It had been a long time since I got to fly my drone and we got some good footage.
Another fun camping trip in the Thor Axis RV. Be careful picking a campsite here - ours was only 12 feet wide. Most are in full sun.

We spend 2 nights at Collier Seminole State Park, which is located just outside of the Everglades, south of Naples. We had a great day canoeing and going to Tigertail Beach on Marco Island. Our second day there, we went to church in Naples at Faith Apostolic Church. The people were very friendly and welcoming, and I was happy to see they had an active deaf ministry!
