Floridays: A Tribute to the Sunshine State
The State of Florida is 65,755 square miles, has 1,350 miles of coastline, and is 832 miles from one end to the other - Pensacola to Key West. It's hard to cram all of that into one 4 and half minute video, but i've tried my best!
I hope you enjoy this photographic tour of the Sunshine State set to a steel drum cover of Floridays by Jimmy Buffett.
Snorkeling in Key West, Florida
This is a video of me snorkeling near a sand bar in the Gulf of Mexico near Key West, Florida in May of 2015. I used my Sony Action camera to tape the fish and coral reef.

Florida Travel: Family Snorkeling in Key Largo
Explore the underwater world of the Florida Keys with a family snorkeling adventure. A perfect place to snorkel in the Keys is off the coast of Key Largo at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, the first underwater park in the United States. Located at the park is Christ of the Deep, a nine-foot-tall, 4,000 pound statue that's submerged in 25 feet of water.

I shot this video while paddling underneath the old span of the Seven Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys. I'm passing beneath the 100-year-old railroad bridge built by Henry Flagler from Miami to Key West. The famous span has been featured in films like Swarzenegger's True Lies (the scene with Jamie Lee Curtis coming out of the limo's sunroof!) Read more about the trip at and

Florida Keys Dive Trip 2016 - Islamorada & Key West
For us, there is no other reason to go on vacation except to dive. Although we would have liked to go to an island we've never been, we had to keep to the CONUS this time. We've been to the Keys before, but decided to stay on Islamorada. Of course, we had to include a day at Key West to dive the Vandenberg.

Indian Key Historic Site
Some of the survivors of the 19 ships of the 1733 Spanish treasure fleet wrecked in the Florida Keys by a hurricane camped on Indian Key until they were rescued. Beginning in the 18th century, Bahamians and Cubans used Indian Key as a base for fishing, turtling, logging and wrecking. Crews might stay on the island for months at a time, but there were no permanent settlers. In 1821, Florida was transferred from Spain to the United States, and in 1824, two Key West men, Joshua Appleby and a man named Snyder, sent an employee, Silas Fletcher, to open a store on Indian Key. The store was to serve wreckers, settlers and Indians in the upper Keys, and settlement of primarily Bahamian wreckers and turtlers grew up on the island. By 1829, the settlement was large enough to include a dozen women.[3]
Jacob Houseman, a wrecker who was at odds with the established wreckers in Key West, moved to Indian Key in 1830 and began buying property on the island. He soon became the leader of the community and its chief landlord. He made numerous improvements to the island, and it acquired an Inspector of Customs in 1832 and a post office in 1840. In 1836 Houseman persuaded the Territorial Legislative Council to split Dade County off from Monroe County, with the upper and middle Keys in the new county and Indian Key as the temporary county seat.[4]
The Second Seminole War began late in 1835. After the New River Massacre in early 1836, all of the Keys were abandoned, except for Key West and Indian Key. Despite fears of attack and sightings of Indians in the area, the inhabitants of Indian Key stayed to protect their property, and to be close to any wrecks in the upper Keys. The islanders had six cannons and their own small militia company for their defense, and the Navy had established a base on nearby Tea Table Key

RV Park Tour of Live Oak Landing in Freeport Florida
A Good Sam Club Park we visited during a trip in Northern Florida. Roomy cottages are available to rent for extended stays. Watch my video of the tour of the Cottage type Tiny House when I post it in a separate video.
Here is my review of this park:
We stopped here because most parks in the Panama City area are priced over $80 . I liked the area and the park for quiet peaceful living and getting in touch with nature. As usual I find that most Good Sam Club parks are overpriced as in the case with this one. This park is way out and does not provide boat rentals at this time of the year. The bathrooms are immaculate and a good size with private stalls accommodating shower rooms. There is even a stall for the handicapped. The water is very hot and the bathrooms are well lit. Wifi at this park was wonderful. Probably the best Wifi at a park that I have ever experienced without any booster antennas. The spaces are average with a small fire pit. Wood was provided at our site although too hot in the year to want to be outside with a blazing fire. The pool is very clean and I found it to be small for the amount of people this park can accommodate. Overall I would give it a thumbs up if you can afford parks for this price. Keep in mind there is construction at this park currently during the day as it seems they are adding more sites .
