19 Foods You Must Try in Miami in 2019
In 2018, I tried over a hundred amazing dishes at dozens of places in my hometown of Miami. These are the 19 dishes you have to try when you come to Miami!
My Film Making Kit ►
Here are all of the foods and where you can try them!
1. Tower Burger (Amour de Miami):
This massive burger is an absolute monster. The river of cheese fondue that’s poured on top makes it a rich and decadent treat!
2. Elote (Tacos and Tattoos):
I’ve had this Mexican corn on the cob dish before, but none of them were as good as this creamy, spicy, and mouthwatering version!
3. The Yardbird (Spring Chicken):
This juicy and tender fried chicken sandwich with Duke’s mayo and pickles is one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had!
4. Lobster Mac & Cheese (Yardbird):
This was one of the cheesiest and creamiest lobster macs I’ve ever had, and one of the prettiest, with a gorgeous presentation including a whole lobster!
5. Swolf Burger (Clutch Burger):
With a waygu beef patty, chorizo, and seared pork belly, this fatty, juicy burger is perfect for any meat lover. It’s one of my favorite burgers ever!
6. Nutella Obleah (Amazonica):
This Colombian treat with Nutella and shredded coconut spread between two thin wafers was a pleasant surprise and a flavorful snack everyone should try!
7. Fish Molee (Ayesha Pinecrest):
This flaky and tender dish from the Indian state of Kerala is fresh and bursting with flavor. Its sauce was so good I wanted to drink it!
8. Star Luca Pizza (Mister O1):
This spicy salami and large dollops of ricotta cheese baked into this pizza’s crust make for an unreal flavor and texture combination!
9. Cachapa (Budare Bistro):
This warm corn pancake with white cheese and sour cream is one of my all-time favorite Venezuelan breakfast foods, and the ones at Budare Bistro are outstanding!
10. Breakfast All Day Burger (BurgerFi):
Imagine adding eggs, bacon, hash browns, and maple syrup to a tender, juicy burger. That’s what this burger is, and it is sensational.
11. Saag Paneer (Bollywood Masala):
This cottage cheese dish that’s served in a flavorful creamy spinach sauce is a popular dish in India, for good reason. This version was absolute perfection!
12. Malanga Tots (Amelia’s 1931):
These deep-fried root vegetable tots that are topped with vaca frita, garlic, and two different mayos are flavor and texture bombs! They are fantastic!
13. Papaya Salad (Sansara):
This chilled, bright salad, mixed with the salty, fatty pork belly was like if Thailand and Cuba got married right on my place. They paired so well together!
14. Rock Shrimp Pizza (Harry’s Pizzeria):
This unusual pizza featuring rock shrimp, Manchego cheese, scallions, and lemon took me back to my time in Greece and had me at a loss for words!
15. French Assassin (Killer Melts):
This mind-blowing breakfast burger between two slices of French toast is easily one of the best breakfast burgers ever!
16. 48-oz. Porterhouse Steak (Shula’s):
This fatty and perfectly cooked steak was absolutely massive and the best steak I’ve ever eaten!
17. Peking Duck (Tropical Chinese):
This Beijing specialty is incredible when rolled into a crepe with crispy duck skin, scallions, cucumbers, and red sauce!
18. The U (Sweet Dogs):
The bacon, sautéed onions, salsa, sauerkraut, and corn chips on this wild hot dog make it an instant favorite!
19. Spicy Tuna Cone (Kraken Lab):
The spicy tuna, briny roe, and sweet waffle cone make for a magnificent flavor and texture combination that seriously blew my mind!
I hope you enjoyed this video of the 19 dishes you have to try in Miami in 2019! If you did, please give it a thumbs up, leave me a comment, and please subscribe to my channel!

DIVERSE FLAVORS of Miami FOOD TOUR | Miami, Florida
I recently teamed up with Miami Food Tours to showcase their Wynwood Food Tour. Omar took me around to a handful of delicious restaurants on South Beach, Wynwood and the Design District. Here is the Diverse Flavors of Miami Food Tour!
TRAVEL HUSTLE REPEAT GEAR ►
MY FILM MAKING KIT ►
We started our tour at Bella Cuba restaurant on South Beach. Here we had a colada coffee and some delicious Cuban pastries. From there the Swoop Ride picked us up and drove us to Wynwood.
We learned a bit about the history of Miami before hitting up La Latina Venezuelan restaurant. Here we ate some delicious arepas and tequenos, my favorites!
Next we drove into the Design District and visited Mandolin Aegean Bistro. This restaurant serves a mix between Greek and Turkish food. We had some Hummus, Taziki and Tirokafteri plus some delicious Greek white wine.
Now let's head into Wynwood where we quickly tour the Wynwood Walls and then visit Wynwood Kitchen and Bar. This is a gastro latin food restaurant, we got some Short Rib Flautas and Garlic Shrimp with a delicious craft beer.
Lastly we head to BunnieCakes to try some delicious hand crafter cupcakes. They were probably the best cupcakes I have ever tried in my life!

I hope you loved this Wynwood Miami Food Tour in partnership with Miami Food Tours. Have you been to Wynwood before?

Miami is famous for it's Latin American food, but we also have a ton of Indian Restaurants all around the city. In this video I headed to North Miami Beach to try some sweet and spicy Indian food at three different restaurants.
First we visited Kebab Indian Restaurant on 167th street in North Miami Beach. They serve a buffet style lunch, which is common in Indian Restaurants in South Florida. I tried some Butter Chicken, Chicken Tandoori, Bhujia, Dal, Goat Vindaloo and Rice Pudding. Everything was amazing but the stand out was the Butter Chicken!
Next we head down the street to B Bar Indian Restaurant, which was also serving buffet style lunch. The manager DJ presented each dish in traditional style. We had some Batatat Vada, Padilla, Chicken Tandoori, Chicken Chilly and Spicy Goat Curry. They were all so delicious!
Lastly we crossed the bridge to Sunny Isles to visit Copper Chimney Indian Restaurant. This restaurant is more upscale and serves a variety of different dishes from around India. I had Bhel Puri Chaat, which is one of my favorite dishes on the planet! It's sweet, spicy and just delicious!

Little Havana is a staple attraction in Miami, FL, but most tourists don't know where to go once they are there. Miami Culinary Tours' Little Havana Food & Culture Tours offers a way to get to know Little Havana and specifically Calle Ocho (Eighth Street) in a very quick and interesting way. The tour will begin and end on Calle Ocho as the group walks through Little Havana visiting the many restaurants and shops there are along Eighth Street. Our group got to try Cuban Mojitos, Cuban ham croquettes (or croquettas), guava pastries (or pastelitos), Cuban beef empanadas, Cuban coffee, the famous Cuban Sandwich, a sugarcane juice (very popular refreshment for Cubans), and of course some Cuban ice cream from Calle Ocho's Azucar.
The places we visited were: El Pub Restaurant, Ball and Chain, Old Havana Restaurant, At La Ventanita, Yisell Bakery, Los Pinarenos Fruteria, and Azucar Ice cream
If you want to get a taste (hah!) of the Cuban culture that has influenced Calle Ocho and made Little Havana what it is today, then you MUST book a tour with Miami Culinary Tours in Miami, FL. They are the best tours.

Miami Food Tour | Must-eat Places | Go Native in Miami and The Beaches
Miami writer and editor, Jackie Gutierrez Jones, takes you on a personal food tour of her hometown. Uncover the must-eat places to vacation in Miami like a local.
Restaurants featured in this video:
Juvia
Pubbelly
The Bazaar South Beach
EDGE Steak & Bar
Michael's Genuine Food & Drink
Momi Ramen
Hi, I'm Jackie Gutierrez Jones and we're in my beautiful hometown of Miami. I'm a local writer and blogger and I'm really excited about the culinary scene here. I want to take you on my personal tour of where to eat so you can go native next time you're in town. Let's take a look.
We're at the sexy Juvia on South Beach. This chain spirit award winning restaurant is perfect for watching South Beach sunsets. Don't forget to try the purple rain cocktail made with chicha morada and some of the exquisitely prepared duros. I'm going to dig in.
Now if you're looking for a fun spot, head to Pub Belly in Miami Beach. This Asian inspired gastropub serves up some fantastic bacon wrapped dates with chorizo and has a unique list of craft beers. And if you want to share some inventive tapas with a group of friends you've got to visit the Bizarre on South Beach. This whimsical dining room is great for splitting small plates of yuca churros and sipping margaritas topped with a cloud of salt air.
When I'm in downtown one of my favorite places to go with friends is Edge Steak and Bar. The cozy baguettes, the rooftop terrace, and the tartars make it a fun place to go with a group. And check out the steak.
Also, when I have visitors in town I like to take them to Michael's Genuine for their signature crispy hominy and their crazy roster of desserts. Now if you're looking for a date night spot head to Momi Ramen and Brickell. It's cozy and they've got the best bowl of noodles in town.
So those are just a few of my favorite places to eat. For more, stop by the
Visit Miami Facebook page. I'm Jackie and I'll see you soon. Cheers.
For more details on the restaurants mentioned, along with more local food recommendations visit the Miami Facebook page at facebook.com/visitmiami.

DOWNTOWN MIAMI WALKING TOUR | Miami, Florida
If you didn't know I am a Miami native and I have seen this city completely grow up over the past three decades. Today I have teamed up with my friends at Wiivv to show you everything that's happening in Downtown Miami. This is my Downtown Miami Walking Tour!
TRAVEL HUSTLE REPEAT GEAR ►
MY FILM MAKING KIT ►
I started off my tour by takin the metro rail to get to downtown Miami. This is the fastest way to travel there as you bypass all the traffic and keep walking.
We first visited Brickell Financial District where dozens of new skyscrapers have risen in the past five years. Next is Downtown Miami, the second oldest neighborhood in the city.
Here I show you three brand new exciting projects like, Miamicentral train station, Miami Worldcenter and One Thousand Museum which was designed by the late architect Zaha Hadid.
Finally we head to the Arts and Entertainment District to get a hard hat tour of Canvas Miami the first condo tour to be constructed in the area
I hope you like this informational tour of Downtown Miami. Remember when traveling you you walking with Wiivv!

Eating Cuban Food in Miami. Little Havana Food Tour ???? First time trying Cuban Food.
In this week’s vlog we adventure into the Little Havana neighbourhood of Miami to try some Cuban food! Miami has a very large Cuban community making it the perfect place to try Cuban food outside of Cuba.
We started off at a restaurant called El Cristo where we first had a platter filled with various Cuban foods including chicken and beef empanadas, plantains, ham croquettes and fried yuca. We also tried a traditional Cuban Sandwich.
After this we decided to head to a Cuban coffee shop where they recommended we have the delicious and indulgent coffee drink called Cafe Tres Leche.
After exploring the neighbourhood some more we headed to our last stop, a restaurant called El Exquisito to have a dish of Arroz Con Pollo (chicken and rice).
