Oak Island North Carolina - Margaret Rudd & Associates
Located in the southeastern corner of North Carolina, Oak Island is a barrier island between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean with 14 miles of south-facing beach strand. Formed in 1999 with the merger of Yaupon Beach and Long Beach, the town of Oak Island is home to a public marina, two fishing piers, public launch locations for boating and kayaking and a municipal golf course. Also located on Oak Island is the town of Caswell Beach, home to the Oak Island Golf Club, an active Coast Guard station and the Oak Island Lighthouse. Volunteers from both towns and surrounding communities come together in many efforts to preserve and restore natural areas, including the protection of endangered sea turtles. Both Oak Island and the nearby city of Southport host numerous fishing tournaments and holiday festivals - visitors return year after year and many look forward to the day they can make Oak Island their year-round home.

Traveling down to the NC Beaches ????we stopped by Caswell Beach for the day. What a nice relaxing, warm water beach! It was not crowded, in the week, but busy. This beach ⛱is good for your dog ???? also, of course on a leash! We took our small dog and he enjoyed relaxing with us.
This was our first time visiting any of the beaches in NC. This was more of a quiet beach, when we visited. ???? Free parking and lots of space to walk. Make sure to check out the local shops too. Can't pass up some good food ???? and goodies to take home!
Before leaving the beach, ????stop by and see the Lighthouse just mile down the road. Once leaving the lighthouse, walk across the path to the walkway. This walkway is well cared for and has information to read on the way to steps to the beach ????
No one is on the section of the beach due to no parking. ???? So, take a short stroll and check out the information and the views! It's breathtaking! We went when the sun was hot but the ocean breeze was cool.
CASWELL Beach Information ????
Caswell Beach is a small, sleepy, seaside town located on the east end of Oak Island in Brunswick County, North Carolina. Adjacent to Fort Caswell/North Carolina Baptist Assembly and the US Coast Guard station, its population was listed at 398 in the 2010 census.[4] The historic Oak Island Lighthouse which the town now owns, towers over its environs while the ????Oak Island Golf Club which is the sole business in town, features one of the few eighteen-hole courses located on a North Carolina barrier island. Caswell Beach along with the Town of Oak Island located on the west end of the island are part of the Myrtle Beach metropolitan area.

Fort Caswell Church Group Surf Fishing Trip: A group of 12 of us from church went and stayed at the Fort Caswell Baptist Camp at Oak Island, NC for a weekend a couple weeks ago. We all had a blast and can't wait to go back. Here are some highlights from our surf fishing trip on the sure and also fish on the docks at the camp in the marina. Hope you enjoy the video. This is a video is of the Oak Island Lighthouse located right by Fort Caswell in (drum roll please...) Oak Island North Carolina. Not one of the best looking lighthouses in the world but it is very unique.
The lighthouse is nicknamed Oki short for Oak Island.
This was filmed with a DJI Phantom 2 and GoPro Hero 3 Black by Kevin Mickle 919-488-3686.
