Fort Morgan Historical Site - Gulf Shores AL
#ilovervlife #fortmorgan #gulfshores While visiting Gulf Shores, AL we discovered the Fort Morgan Historic Site located on the point of Fort Morgan Peninsula between the Gulf of Mexico and Mobile Bay. This fort has an extensive history starting as Fort Bowyer during the War of 1812 then as Fort Morgan protecting this critical shipping lane from 1819 through the Civil War, WWI and WWII. The site is an amazing piece of military architecture with well-preserved seacoast fortifications along with the wide range of modifications made throughout this fort’s historic career.

Leaving Fort Morgan, Colorado USA
Trucks repair for water leak is finally done, and we pray no more repair along the route to Michigan.
Colorado, a western U.S. state, has a diverse landscape of arid desert, river canyons and snow-covered Rocky Mountains, which are partly protected by Rocky Mountain National Park. Elsewhere, Mesa Verde National Park features Ancestral Puebloan cliff dwellings. Perched a mile above sea level, Denver, Colorado’s capital and largest city, features a vibrant downtown area.

FIRST-LOOK-Inside-the-FEDERAL-RESERVE,-USD,-CASH,-GOLD-monetary-SYSTEM-Americas-Money-Vault-PART-1
FIRST LOOK Inside the FEDERAL RESERVE, USD, CASH, GOLD monetary SYSTEM - Americas Money Vault, National Geographic Full Episode PART 1
For the first time, National Geographic takes you inside the heart of the money machine to places that you're not allowed to bring a camera ...straight into the vaults of some of the world's largest stashes of what you want, need and bust your butt to get: Money.
Hidden deep under the streets of New York City, hundreds of billion dollars in gold bars are tucked away in a bunker that is anchored to the bedrock of Manhattan Island itself.
In the latest in a string of high-profile hacking disclosures, the Federal Reserve confirmed on Wednesday that one of its websites was broken into by cyber hackers in a breach that reportedly leaked the contact information of thousands of bankers.
While the central bank said the incident didn't affect critical operations of the Federal Reserve System, the disclosure is sure to fuel concerns about the cyber security of government websites and critical financial infrastructure.
The Fed hack appears to be tied to an Anonymous group that published on Twitter the credentials of more than 4,000 commercial bankers early Monday morning. The group, Operation Last Resort, said it received the documents via the FED.
Call it the Rick Perry gold rush: The governor wants to bring the state's gold reserves back from a New York vault to Texas.
And he may have legislative support to do it. Freshman Rep. Giovanni Capriglione, R-Southlake, is carrying a bill that would establish the Texas Bullion Depository, a secure state-based bank to house $1 billion worth of gold bars owned by the University of Texas Investment Management Co., or UTIMCO, and stored by the Federal Reserve.
If you think gold is a hedge, or a protection, you always want it as close to the individual and the entity as possible, Paul told The Texas Tribune on Thursday. Texas is better served if it knows exactly where the gold is rather than depending on the security of the Federal Reserve.
Sadly, most Americans don't even realize that a private banking cartel has a monopoly over all money creation in this country. In recent years they have abused this power by wildly printing money (quantitative easing), and by making more than 16 trillion dollars in secret loans to their friends during the last financial crisis. Neither the Treasury Department nor the Federal Reserve believes that the law can or should be used to facilitate the production of platinum coins for the purpose of avoiding an increase in the debt limit
remaining alternative to Congress raising the nation's borrowing limit, which would utilize a loophole in federal law to mint a $1 trillion coin to be deposited in the Federal Reserve and ensure the federal government could pay all bills and debt obligations.

You can thank the reckless money printing that the Federal Reserve has been doing for the incredible bull market that we have seen in recent months. When the Federal Reserve does more quantitative easing, it is the financial markets that benefit the most. The Dow and the S&P 500 have both hit levels not seen since 2007 this month, and many analysts are projecting that 2013 will be a banner year for stocks. But is a rising stock market really a sign that the overall economy is rapidly improving as many are suggesting? Of course not. Just because the Federal Reserve has inflated another false stock market bubble Barack Obama has been president, 40 percent of all American workers are making $20,000 a year or less, median household income has declined for four years in a row, and poverty in the United States is absolutely exploding. So quantitative easing has definitely not made things better for the middle class. But all of the money printing that the Fed has been doing has worked out wonderfully for Wall Street. Profits are soaring at Goldman Sachs and luxury estates in the Hamptons are selling briskly. Unfortunately, this is how things work in America these days. Our leaders seem far more concerned with the welfare of Wall Street than they do about the welfare of the American people. When things get rocky, their first priority always seems to be to do whatever it takes to pump up the financial markets

Meet the American Mountain Men, an invitation-only group of reenactors who are inspired by the fur trade, which flourished in North America from roughly 1800 to 1840. For one week every year, they leave the modern world behind and return to a time when survival meant self-reliance. ORDER OF DEATH 322 - Skull and Bones Secret Society
LIKE and SUBSCRIBE to keep updated with the latest videos!
Skull and Bones's membership developed a reputation in association with the Power Elite
Among prominent alumni are former President and Supreme Court Justice William Howard Taft (a founder's son); former Presidents George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush; Supreme Court Justices Morrison R. Waite and Potter Stewart;[18] James Jesus Angleton, mother of the Central Intelligence Agency; Henry Stimson, U.S. Secretary of War (1940-1945); U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert A. Lovett, who directed the Korean War, William B. Washburn, Governor of Massachusetts; and Henry Luce, founder and publisher of Time, Life, Fortune, and Sports Illustrated magazines John Kerry, U.S. Secretary of State and former U.S. Senator; Stephen A. Schwarzman, founder of Blackstone Group; Austan Goolsbee,Chairman of Barack Obama's Council of Economic Advisers; Harold Stanley, co-founder of Morgan Stanley; and Frederick W. Smith, founder of FedEx, are all reported to be members.
Skull and Bones has a reputation for stealing keepsakes from other Yale societies or from campus buildings; society members reportedly call the practice crooking and strive to outdo each other's crooks.
The society has been accused of possessing the stolen skulls of Martin Van Buren, Geronimo, and Pancho Villa.
Six members of the Yale secret society Skull and Bones, including Prescott Bush, served as Army volunteers at Fort Sill during World War I.In 1986, former San Carlos Apache chairman Ned Anderson received an anonymous letter with a photograph and a copy of a log book claiming that Skull and Bones held the skull. He met with Skull and Bones officials about the rumor; the group's attorney, Endicott P. Davidson, denied that the group held the skull, and said that the 1918 ledger saying otherwise was a hoax
The group offered Anderson a glass case containing what appeared to be the skull of a child, but Anderson refused it
In 2006, Marc Wortman discovered a 1918 letter from Skull & Bones member Winter Mead to F. Trubee Davison that claimed the theft The skull of the worthy Geronimo the Terrible, exhumed from its tomb at Fort Sill by your club... is now safe inside the tomb and bone together with his well worn femurs, bit and saddle horn.
The revelation led Harlyn Geronimo of Mescalero, New Mexico, to write to President George W. Bush (the grandson of Prescott Bush) requesting his help in returning the remains:
According to our traditions the remains of this sort, especially in this state when the grave was desecrated ... need to be reburied with the proper rituals ... to return the dignity and let his spirits rest in peace. In 2009, Ramsey Clark filed a lawsuit on behalf of people claiming descent from Geronimo, against several parties, including Robert Gates and Skull and Bones, asking for the return of Geronimo's bones An article in The New York Times states that Clark acknowledged he had no hard proof that the story was true.
Investigators, including Bush family biographer Kitty Kelley and the pseudonymous Cecil Adams, say the story is untrue
A military spokesman from Fort Sill told Adams, There is no evidence to indicate the bones are anywhere but in the grave site.
Jeff Houser, chairman of the Fort Sill Apache tribe of Oklahoma, calls the story a hoax
BY THE END OF THIS VIDEO PROOF WILL BE SHOWN THAT THE BONES OF Geronimo were taken.

List of American Civil War battles
The Battles of the American Civil War were fought between April 12, 1861 and May 12–13, 1865 in 23 states (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia), the District of Columbia, as well as the following territories: Arizona Territory, Colorado Territory, Dakota Territory, Indian Territory (present-day Oklahoma), New Mexico Territory, and Washington Territory, and naval engagements. These battles would change the standing and historical memory of the United States. While the origins of the war are complex, principal among them were the issue of slavery, and the interpretations of the Constitution and the rules, rights, and qualifications that it embodied. For lists of battles organized by campaign and theater, see: Eastern Theater of the American Civil War Western Theater of the American Civil War Trans-Mississippi Theater of the American Civil War Pacific Coast Theater of the American Civil War Lower Seaboard Theater of the American Civil War Category:Battles of the American Civil WarSome battles have more than one name; e.g., the battles known in the North as Battle of Antietam and Second Battle of Bull Run were referred to as the Battle of Sharpsburg and the Battle of Manassas, respectively, by the South. This was because the North tended to name battles after landmarks (often rivers or bodies of water), whereas the South named battles after nearby towns.

Where Alabama Began: Archaeology at Old St. Stephens presented by George Shorter
Thursday, December 21 at 12:00. George Shorter
presented Where Alabama Began: Archaeology at Old St. Stephens. From fort to trading post to territorial capital, St. Stephens is the birthplace of Alabama. However, the town’s story is
one that is unknown to most Alabamians. By 1818, St. Stephens boasted 400 buildings and a population of at least 3,000. The town was named the territorial capital of Alabama in 1817, and hosted the inaugural meeting of the territorial legislature in 1818. By the early 1820s, after the capital relocated, the town began to decline. It had virtually vanished by the beginning of the Civil War. This month, archaeologist George Shorter will shed light on St. Stephen’s story through exciting new archaeological discoveries.
George Shorter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture and a Master of Arts degree in Anthropology both from Louisiana State University. He worked as a landscape architect for almost thirty years and then joined the University of South Alabama’s Center for Archaeological Studies where he supervised numerous archaeological projects including research at Fort Morgan, Dog River near Mobile, and the Creek Indian village
Fusihatchee near Montgomery. Shorter began research at the historic site of Old St. Stephens in Washington County in
1997. He continues his work today with the St. Stephens Historical Commission.
Admission to Food for Thought presentations is always FREE. The public is invited to bring a brown bag lunch. Complimentary beverages will be provided. For additional information call (334) 353-4689. Food for Thought 2017 is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Alabama Archives and the Alabama Humanities Foundation,
a state program of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Incidents of Morgan's Raid with an Account of Stovepipe Johnson's Retreat through West Virginia 1
On Tuesday, September 2, 2014, Brian Stuart Kesterson presented “Incidents of Morgan’s Raid with an Account of Stovepipe Johnson’s Retreat through West Virginia” in the Archives and History Library in the Culture Center in Charleston.
Kesterson focused on the ill-fated 1863 raid of General John Hunt Morgan and Colonel Adam Rankin “Stovepipe” Johnson’s retreat through West Virginia. Several years ago, he traveled over roads and lanes that Col. Johnson and his 300 retreating Confederate cavalrymen traveled. The remoteness of the retreat route largely factored in the preservation of a substantial part of the route, according to Kesterson. “Some of these roads were little better than wagon paths and they have changed very little since the time of the Civil War. About 90% of Johnson’s original retreat route still exists, which is amazing to think about since he and his men retreated over eight counties in West Virginia and two counties in Virginia.”
A native of Wood County, Brian Kesterson received a bachelor’s degree from Marietta College and his teaching certification and master’s degree in education from Ohio Valley College. He currently is a history teacher at Parkersburg High School. He also is a member of the 6th Ohio Volunteer Cavalry, which has provided living history, boot camp programs for the school children of West Virginia and Ohio since 1990, and serves as chief musician/bugler for the general staff of the United States Volunteer Infantry.
Kesterson appeared in the in the movie The Patriot (2000) as a special abilities re-enactor for the Revolutionary War time period and has appeared in documentaries on Civil War and other historical topics. He is the author of The Last Survivor: The Memoirs of George William Watson, A Horse Soldier in the 12th Virginia Cavalry (1993); Campaigning with the 17th Virginia Cavalry Night Hawks at Monocacy (2005); Dear Sir . . . Dear Miss . . .: The Letters of Granville B. Mann, Company A, 30th Battalion Virginia Sharpshooters & Miss Lucinda Maria Virginia (Chandler) Mann (2007); and Incidents of Morgan’s Raid with an Account of Stovepipe Johnson’s Retreat through West Virginia (2013).
