Creating fish habitat to encourage spawning in the reservoir, hopefully boosting fish populations, cutting down on the need to re-stock, and helping the local Oklahoma caviar industry. (yes, Oklahoma caviar)

The Oklahoma state medical examiner’s office announced Wednesday all six bodies found in a pair of vehicles in Foss Lake have been identified.
Two cars were found in the lake in September 2013 — a 1952 Chevrolet and a 1969 Chevy Camaro — with three bodies in each.
Using DNA testing, the medical examiner determined John Alva Porter, 69, of Elk City; Cleburn Hammack, 42, of Sayre; and Nora Marie Duncan, 58, of Canute, were in the ’52 Chevy. Jimmy Allen Williams, 16; Leah Gail Johnson, 18; and Thomas Michael Rios, 18, all of Sayre, were in the Camaro.
The cause of death for all six was determined to be accidental drowning, according to a statement from the medical examiner’s office.
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Jessica Brown said Porter and Duncan were reported missing in 1969. She could not find any report of when Hammack went missing.

Boiling Springs State Park, Oklahoma
A trip to Boiling Springs State Park on a cold winter day. I walked to the N. Canadian River through a forest with some really cool and old trees. I wanted to do additional hikes, but the weather turned against me and it started raining pretty hard so I had to curtail my visit.
