How do you create a wedding film without actually shooting the wedding? Very carefully. Despite the last minute change in plans, after finding out the church did not allow videotaping of the wedding ceremony but just audio recording, Bret and Gloria were determined to not let that ruin their day. They put complete trust in us that we would make it all work in the final edit. And I do believe we pulled it off! Highlighting the beautiful 10-piece choir in this film, a few words from their priest and using their special vows, this wedding was rich in catholic traditions. Bret and Gloria are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet. I wanted this film to showcase their fondness for each other through the music during the vows and the intimate silhouette shots of them together. We had an amazing time with this couple, their friends and their family. One of our first trips to Mesilla but not our last! Such a charming town for a charming couple! We wish you two all the best!

La Posta de Mesilla Billy the Kid
La Posta From the Founding of Mesilla to Corn Exchange Hotel to Billy the Kid Museum to Famous Landmark. The La Posta de Mesilla building sits on a lot known as a terreno de solar. This was a grant made by the state of Chihuahua, Mexico to a Mexican citizen on which the citizen could build a house. Within a year or so, neither the grantee or the lot are located in Mexico. They are both now in the United States. The grantee sells the lot to a merchant who then establishes a store. This merchant takes on a partner and eventually sells out to this partner. Short Film Released on Century-Old Murder Case
(MESILLA) Matt Wilson and Sean Pilcher have released a short film that centers around the life of Col. Fountain, an historic Mesilla Valley figure believed murdered.
Col. Fountain was traveling home with his 8-year-old son, Henry, in 1896 when the two disappeared.
His great-great granddaughter, Tancy Bird, still meets people with connections to the supposed murder.
One of my friends started crying. She said 'I did not realize you were a part of Colonel Fountain's group.' And I said 'Why are you crying?' And she said 'You know who I am?' and I said 'Yes.' Then she said, 'How can you stand me.'
Tancy reads a lot of history books but she also had her great-grandmother and grandmother to hear about Colonel Fountain.
They've told me about how it happened...and how the Colonel's wife passed out when they told her that the Colonel and Henry were gone.
Tancy thinks the Colonel's wife, Mariana, knew he was in danger -- and that's why Mariana suggested taking his son.
And Mariana his wife had convinced him that if he took little Henry, nobody would ever hurt a child. That was like today, you think about the most heinous crime a man or a woman could perform -- if you did it on a child, it's worse.
Worse even in the Wild West -- intentionally killing a child was unheard of at the time.
...and he said don't worry about what if's. I have my gun. I am a good shot. I'm sure that we'll be able to get back in time...when they didn't come, Mariana knew it had happened.
A lot of evidence points to a group of men who were known enemies of the Colonel. Oliver Lee, Jim Gililland and William McNew were among the accused.
Before his disappearance, Colonel Fountain brought theater and the arts to Mesilla Valley. He built a community theater on the square and brought in performers.
At the Fountain Theater in the same square, two Las Cruces filmmakers bring the story of Fountain back in a short film.
Matt Wilson and Sean Pilcher are behind the movie -- Among the Dust of Thieves.
Matt, the movie's cinematographer says he brought the idea up with Sean after hearing a group of investors wanted to make a movie about Fountain.
We were sitting out actually in a swimming pool on the rooftop of this hotel and we were just messing around and we had gotten rumors of this Fountain story...and right from there we started reading the books on the plane, said Wilson.
Fast-forward three years and the movie opens at the Fountain Theater.
Tom Hutchinson owns the Fountain Theater today and is one of the film's executive producers.
As our thinking evolved...we decided it was more of a Lonesome Dove series,
In this exclusive behind the scenes footage, Matt and Sean filmed for about seven days in New Mexico....outside Santa Fe, in Truth or Consequences and for a day in Las Cruces.
A big part of the story was left out.
We wrote the son out of it...there's an interesting story with the son, but that's not what we wanted to tell, said Sean Pilcher, co-producer of the movie.
...because they wanted to focus on Fountain...and the movie runs just over 40 minutes.
Producers say they'd like to see a longer feature or even a series down the road.
Tancy has been meeting people with family ties to the case all her life. It always makes her stop and think. It happened the other day in a class.
It was an eye opener that here I was helping someone who's ancestor had helped murder a little boy and his dad.

How to visit New York with an RV: World Trade Center, The High Line and more - Traveling Robert
We camp at Liberty Harbor RV Park, in Jersey City and from there it is a very easy commute to Manhattan. We visit the 911 Memorial, One World Observatory at the new World Trade Center. Then we take a walk on the High Line, and then wander around Chelsea and Gramercy, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of the Big Apple.

Lexington: The Horse Capital of the World. Travels with Mom
We arrive at the Kentucky Horse Park during their famous Three Day Event, then visit the Kentucky State Capitol in nearby Frankfort. On the next day we tour Lexington in the morning, exploring its historic district, including Mary Todd Lincoln's house, her birth place, and the rest of the historic neighborhood including some beautiful antebellum homes. The Thoroughbred Park with a sculpture dedicated to the horse-racing industry. We drive by the beautiful horse farms surrounding Keeneland Race Track, and end the day by taking the Woodford Reserve Distillery tour and finally get to taste some Bourbon.
