We enjoyed the one hour UNLIMITED/All YOU CAN EAT Kobe beef at Gyu-chi Restaurant. Yes, 1 hour is not enough for us. This is the most heavenly meat we have ever tasted.
According to crowdcow.com/blog:
A simple way to understand Kobe Beef is that it is a brand name for A4 and A5 beef that comes from Hyogo prefecture in Japan. In addition, beef from Hyogo prefecture that happens to achieve an A4 or A5 rating will only be called Kobe Beef if it comes from producers and processors that have paid to be part of their marketing association.
Wagyu is just a word that means Japanese Beef. There are four breeds of Wagyu cattle that are native to Japan. Of these breeds, there is one that stands out as something truly remarkable: the Kuroge Washu.

Best is to make reservation because place is small and usually full house.
There are 4 branches near to each other. If one branch is full, try going to another one.
The meat is very good but not the best. I will post the best wagyu experience I've ever had at a later date. Please watch out for it.

WHAT TO EAT IN OSAKA? KUROMON MARKETS! | JAPAN VLOG #6
Today we explored all the delights of Kuromon Ichiba Markets. This market is a MUST visit for the freshest food especially seafood! We also tasted one of the most premium beef that Japan has to offer. AND YES, WE ATE TWO WHOLE CHEESECAKES. Pablo vs Rikuro?
Matsusakagyu Yankiniku M is also a MUST visit when in Osaka. They have 4 restaurants in Osaka, all within walking distance of one another. However, since they are so popular we would advise to still make a booking on their website!
We ordered the Premium Course which was Y7800 (approximately $71) and was worth every dollar. We would definitely go back there again!

BEST TAKOYAKI in Namba, Osaka | Top 3 Recommendations by a Local Japanese!
This is my top 3 takoyaki stalls in Namba area of Osaka, Japan.
So you might wonder where is a good place to eat local takoyaki. It can be difficult to choose since there are just way too many takoyaki stalls.
Watch till the end to find out where to eat the best takoyaki in Namba, Osaka!
Table of contents:
- Kougaryu 甲賀流(0:51~)
Probably the most famous stall in this video. It is located right across Sankaku Kouen(三角公園)in Amemura (American Village) district. I used to love their takoyaki but I'm suspecting the standard has dropped. But maybe that was because I went at a weird time. It's worth trying it out if you're near this area.
Price paid: 450yen
Map:
- Takoyaki za たこ焼き座(4:05~)
A more local recommendation! Most tourists tend to go to Wanaka which is right across this store. However my recommendation is Takoyaki za. It has a more local traditional feel and the taste is simply better. (In my opinion, of course) The value is also nice. Must try!
Price paid: 6 huge takoyaki balls for only 400yen.
Map:
- Aka Oni 赤鬼(6:29~)
A Michelin awarded takoyaki stall. My personal favorite is their hot-sauce. It adds a spicy kick to their chewy soft takoyaki. Aka Oni also has interesting menu like cheese takoyaki and soupy takoyaki. It's only 3-5 minute walk from Dotonbori.
Price paid: 500yen
Map:
Most people tend to eat at the Dotonbori area, but I do not really recommend that. The standards are not the highest and they are quite expensive. (They can cost up to 1.5 times the normal price)
I hope this video was helpful! Please leave a like and subscribe if you want to see more of these videos.

JAPAN DAY 4: CAT CAFE AND OSAKA AQUARIUM
We visited a cat cafe in Dotonbori (after it being shut last time we tried) and it was amazing! The cats weren't super friendly but if you pay to play with them and feed them, they're all yours. We finally had some of the best Ramen before heading to the Osaka Aquarium, which was crazy beautiful! The ferris wheel was right there so we gave it a go for the views and then stumbled upon a great shopping spot.. (I'm spending so much money in Japan & I don't even care!)

Japanese Street Food Tour in Osaka, Japan Travel Food Video Transcript:
We have an exciting video for you today. It is going to be all about the street food. We are here in Osaka (大阪市) in Dōtonbori (道頓堀) which is famous for nightlife and street food. We have come here in the middle of the day. We're going to turn this into our lunch. And just try as many Japanese snacks and dishes as possible. Japanese street food for you guys.
Okay so time for our very first snack. And we are starting with something sweet. This is called Taiyaki (鯛焼き) and it is basically a pancake shaped like a fish. So we got two different varieties. They have the classic which is stuffed with red bean paste.
we have found a place serving Kushikatsu (串カツ). Round two guys of street food guys.
So this is Kushikatsu (串カツ). This is basically they are fried skewers. Kushi means skewer. Mmhmm. Katsu means meat.
This is our third snack here in Dōtonbori (道頓堀).
And we found a gyoza (餃子) stand so we ordered up a little tray. This was 400 Yen and you get 8 pieces.
And when it rains in Osaka (大阪市) it pours. It pours. Oh my gosh how the weather has changed today. So lucky we brought our umbrellas. But anyways we are moving on to our 4th dish right now. And we have something called Takoyaki (たこ焼き / 蛸焼). Takoyaki (たこ焼き / 蛸焼) is basically a ball shaped snack. It is made with batter. It has chopped up octopus. It has pickled ginger. Um and then once it is ready they put on a bit of barbecue sauce, some mayo and these little things that you see moving around. That is bonito flakes. It is fish flakes.
Moving on to dessert. So take a look at this guys it is melting quickly. I've got a big scoop of vanilla ice cream (Monaka - 最中). I have red bean paste. Red bean paste and then I have uh an outer shell here.
Alright so Sam had ice cream. I am having Warabimochi (蕨餅). And I kind of have to assemble this myself.
So the mochi (餅 - もち) comes in this little plastic container. Oh that almost looks like jelly. Yeah.
And then we're going to have to add this powder on top.
It is time to say goodbye. It is always sad when the street food tour is ending. Yeah. Because we just love street food so much. And I have to admit this is the first time we've ever filmed street food in the rain so it was an interesting procedure. Hahaha.
Anyways we really enjoyed this street food tour here in Osaka (大阪市) and if you want to see more Japanese food and travel content stay tuned because we have a lot more coming.
This is part of our Travel in Japan video series showcasing Japanese food, Japanese culture and Japanese cuisine.
