Frank Lloyd Wright Designed George Smith Home, Oak Park Il.
Oak Park is a small village located on Chicago's western boundry. It is known for having the largest number of Frank Lloyd Wright designed homes in the world. The founder of the prairie school of architecture made his home here from 1889-1909. Most of his homes are located on the north side of town, the wealthy side. One is located south of Lake Street on the poorer side of town.
That is the George Smith home located at 404 S. Home was designed in 1895 as one of a group of low cost houses for architect Charles E. Roberts, that were never built. This was during the period when Wright was moonlighting before he started his own company. It was built in 1898 for Smith who was a salesman for Marshall Field.

Frank Lloyd Wright - Meyer S May House - REAL USA Ep. 65
Designed by America's most famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright, the Meyer S May house was built in 1908 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Meyer May was a local clothing store owner; he built this house for his wife and two adopted children.
Mr. Wright designed this house to allow maximum southern exposure for the living room windows and skylights and to create a spacious yard for the perennial gardens. This design draws nature into the house. Doors which open out to the terraces and gardens and planters are all incorporated into the design to intermingle the interior and exterior.
This masterpiece of the prairie-style design is the most complete restoration of a Frank Lloyd Wright house in existence. The owners, Steelcase Inc., an international furniture company, spared no expense in reproducing in exact detail all furnishings and original grandeur. It was opened to the public for visitor tours in 1987.

The Kirsch Sci Fi Home, Oak Park, IL.
Oak Park Ill.'s a village known for its architecture the prairie school style of the early 20th century is in abundance... It has more Frank Lloyd Wright homes than anywhere else in the world. Modern is just not something you see in the town except at the corner of Fair Oaks and Greenfield where the Errol J Kirsch House is found. This early green house was built in the early 1980's and has a lot of passive solar design features. It's been called the bunker and it's been said to look like something out of the sci-fi flick Logan's Run. I think that in a world of conformity it's nice to see something a little different.

Completed in 1907, the Darwin D. Martin House is known as one of famed American architect, Frank Lloyd Wright's, greatest works. However, after falling into disrepair over the years, it wasn't until 1997 that this gem nestled in the city of Buffalo has been restored to its former glory. After finally completing the $50 million USD restoration project this spring, Wanderous Affair had the chance to explore the stunning property in all of its glory in collaboration with Visit Buffalo-Niagara.

Wright experts announced on Tuesday that Linda McQuillen’s home is an American System-Built house, built as part of the great American architect’s effort to develop and market well-designed homes at an affordable level.
It is the second such house to be identified in the past four months, one of 16 ever built. Fourteen are still standing.
