Osaka Travel Tips: 10 Things to Know Before You Go to Osaka
Things YOU need to know before you travel to Osaka Japan. Osaka is the third most populated city in Japan with 2.7M in the city and 19 Million in the region. Osaka is often overlooked for Tokyo and Kyoto, but Osaka has its own charm that makes it a wonderful destination for visitors. Osaka is a welcoming, exciting, and place that should really be on your travel radar!
Osaka is located on the main island of Honshu, roughly in the center of Japan. Osaka is a great place to base yourself when visiting Japan. In the centre of the Kansai region, landing at it’s international airport will place you within an hours local train journey to Kyoto, Nara and Kobe. Osaka is worth worth 3-5 days.
2- Food
Osaka is famous in Japan for their food. Its nickname is “the nation’s kitchen”.
Most well known: okonomiyaki, which is a dish made with meat, seafood, and noodles.
Takoyaki, delicious fried octopus balls that are sure to curve your hunger cravings at night.
Kushikatsu. Kushi refers to the bamboo skewers that the food is on and you can find meat, vegetable and even cheese varieties here. Don’t forget to dip your fried goods into the tonkatsu sauce (but strictly NO double dipping)
And of course Ramen!
Osaka is home to 200+ Michelin starred restaurants and Dontoburi is the epicentre of that.
Aside from the delicious food, Osaka is also well known for its high quality Sake, or Japanese rice wine. The sake is made from fresh water that comes from the Osaka mountains

Grand Front Osaka is amazing
YenTenjimbashi-suji Shopping Street

Midosuji (shopping street)
Osaka’s “main street,” Midosuji is a broad street All the major international luxury brands have outlets here
Hozenji Yokocho (traditional alley)
Two small blocks east of Midosuji and two small blocks south of the Dotombori Arcade, you’ll find one of the most beautiful streets in all of Osaka and it looks like it was magically transported from somewhere in Kyoto. Entering this street is like slipping 200 years back in time.
Doguyasuji Arcade (kitchen and cooking supply shopping arcade)
About five minutes’ walk southeast of Namba subway station (easily reached on foot from Dotombori
Amerika Mura (trendy district)
Amerika Mura (or “Amemura” to the locals)
5- Otaku Paradise
Den Den Town. Osaka’s answer to Akihabara and not far from Namba station, here you’ll find all the weird and wonderful Japanese toys and manga you’ve heard about on the internet. Watch your step or you could unintentionally fall into adult-only territory. (Or intentionally, if that’s what you’re after.)
Den-Den is the city’s electronics, camera, computer and pop culture shopping neighborhood. It’s about 10 minutes’ walk southwest of Namba Station, in Nippombashi, running roughly between Nippombashi and Ebisucho stations on the Sakaisuji subway line. Many of the shops here have someone on hand who can speak English, so don’t be afraid to ask for help when looking for something.

I found a famous central market in Riga city. It was first opened in 1930 and was the largest and modern market in Europe. Many large Latvian people visit the market, which is still a large market. The market is divided into meats, dairy products, nuts and agricultural products. This is where you can find salads and vegetables. The familiar Oji is also seen. I eat salt - pickled cucumbers. I tried to eat other spices so I could taste them. It taste the same as Korea. As the country on the Baltic coast is the most popular spot for people, seafood is the best. There are various kinds of fish, but the way they are sold varies from salted to smoked. The most popular among them are smoked fish. What did you buy? I bought smoked salmon. This is a very historic market. It is not all that is famous market. This market was made in 1930 and made use of the old space used as the German Chepelin airplane hangar. This market could have been created by returning to Riga at the end of the war.

Aomori is located in the northernmost part of Honshu. The first impression of Japan that I met is as unlike the landscape of our country. Breaking the silent stillness and welcoming me first is the children in the neighborhood. The children's innocent laughter is wonderful. But rice fields here are a little bit different. The color of rice is black instead of green. This is Non-Art in Aomori prefecture and Kadata town. I use a different color of rice in the village to make a big picture. Non art, which uses rice as canvas for planting rice, is made from old rice and green rice called purple and yellow ancient rice. Since I could not do anything with paddy rice, there are different kinds of paddy rice, so I began to paint with paddy rice. Since 1993, rice paddies have been used to improve rice varieties of different colors. I started making. After that, many tourists came to the town and helped to revitalize the area. Every year, non-art produced by villagers in various genre themes is a natural art work. I do not have rice fields in Tokyo, so I think it's great to be able to see beautiful fields here. Non-art is going to take a lot of time and I was surprised to see that it made such a great thing.

I went to the most visited BUDDHIST TEMPLE in JAPAN! | Tokyo, Japan Travel Vlog
Backpacking Travel Vlog
Tokyo, Japan
January 11th, 2018
In this travel vlog (day two in Tokyo) I visit the Buddhist temple, Senso-ji (the most visited temple in Japan), in the Asakusa district with my friend Eddie. After that, we head up to the top of the Tokyo Skytree for some awesome views of the whole city. We later head to the Shibuya district to check out the famous intersection, Shibuya Crossing. After that, I meet up with my friend Andy and his friend David, as we try the (potentially deadly) delicacy, Fugu fish!

From stunning, eye-catching outer Satsuma Folklore Museum has on display a collection of 400 pieces, including ceramics. This spectacular exhibition will be decorated with gold leaf that exhibited far to go across Europe. Tang relics of sancai and looks even of the Chinese imperial porcelain.

1:16:43 My Final Review, Pros and Cons
This is My TOUR, Review, Exploration, etc. of the HISTORIC and QUIRKY, Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This Hotel, I just can't say how AWESOME it is!!!! It seems to be ones of those places where people either love it or hate it, and I happened to absolutely LOVE IT!!!! This place started out as a Train Station which currently serves as the Lobby, which opened in 1908, and it served as a Train Station up until 1970. In 1973, 3 Motel style buildings were built, the Terminal Station became a lobby, and ANCIENT Pullman Train Cars, that actually were once used to Transport People, are now HOTEL ROOMS, A SHOP AND A RESTAURANT!!!! At this hotel, you can LITERALLY Stay IN A FREAKIN' TRAIN CAR!!!!! I did!!!! How cool is that!?!?!?! I got to explore it, tour it and review it in this video!!!! I also got to tour a room in the 1973 MarcArthur Hotel Building that was recently renovated. This place was originally owned by Hilton, then became independent, then became a Holiday Inn, and now is Independent again. This place got it's name from the Locomotive parked in the courtyard, which I GO INSIDE in this video, and also a 1941 song by Glenn Miller. Even though 3 Hotel Buildings were built in 1973, only 1 is still hotel rooms as the other 2 have been converted into Apartment Buildings called Passenger Flats. I LOVE How you can stay at a TRAIN CAR here, but if you don't want to, you have a regular hotel rooms in the newer buildings!!!! Overall, I LOVED this place and had an absolute BLAST here!!!! This place also has Checkers, Shuffleboard, and sandboxes, fountains and fish, and the lobby and hallways make you feel like you are indeed at a train station, and the lobby has so much OLD WORLD CHARM!!!! Also, the Train Cars have LUXURIOUS Old World Decor too!!!! This place has LOTS of fun amenities, good restaurants, shops, a Guitar Museum, is VERY QUIRKY and COOL, But the Good thing is, it ONLY costs $90 to stay in a regular room, and $150 to stay in the TRAIN CAR, you get SO MUCH Luxury and Character for what you pay for!!!!! With this all being said, I HIGHLY Recommend this place, and if you are in Chattanooga, THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY AND BE!!! If you do choose to stay in a Train Car, the floor is uneven and the hallway is narrow, but, IT'S A TRAIN CAR!!! Also, the bathroom in my train car has cracked tile, and the blinds were messed up, and the windows are dirty and foggy which are really the only complaints I had. The room is SUPER DATED in Decor, but in a Charming way, and I LOVED the ARCHITECTURE!!! And a place being Dated DOESN'T Bother me as long as the place is clean, well maintained, the bed is comfy, and it's mostly spotless, which this place met all of that, aside from the cracked bathroom tiles, and overall, this was just a FUN and COOL Experience!!!! While the Regular Rooms were renovated, the carpet, beds, furniture, and paint were the only thing changed. The bathroom fixtures are still original, along with the blankets on the beds and the bathroom doors. With this being said, if places' being dated bothers you, you don't want to stay here, BUT, If you want a HISTORICAL Hotel with LOTS of Charm, funkiness, Quirkiness and character, THIS IS YOUR PLACE!!!! And let me tell you, this is DEFINITELY one of my most FAVORITE Hotels I've EVER Stayed at IN MY LIFE, and I will DEFINITELY Stay here again next time I come to Chattanooga as I do come to Chattanooga every 2 years usually. With that said, let's Explore, Tour and Review, this AMAZING, FUNKY, HISTORIC, Hotel, and my TRAIN CAR!!!!
