Japan's Top Secret Ramen Shop! JAPANESE STREET FOOD in Fukuoka, Japan (Blue Bucket Ramen)
Street Food Japan - Blue Bucket Ramen in Fukuoka Japan is the BEST Ramen I have ever tasted! When in Fukuoka look for the blue bucket hanging outside the unassuming ramen shop! Also when you're in Fukuoka, Japan check out some of the amazing JAPANESE STREET FOOD !!! Yatai stalls are one of the most famous dining experiences in Fukuoka! We didn't have too much luck with them but we did check out an amazing seafood market + street food stand for some fish cakes!
Of course when you're in Japan you need to try the unique conveyor belt sushi! 100 Japanese Yen per plate and you get to try your hand at a Japanese video game!
We finished our night indulging in what I like to call BUTTER EEL! Japanese salt water eel or Unagi grilled over charcoal and served with rice! Simple and delicious!

FUKUOKA - Fukuoka City Public Library
The facilities of Fukuoka city public library were more than expected. They had a well-organized reading rooms with all kind of periodicals. It was 2 o'clock in the afternoon, and I could see people ranging from kids to senior citizens. They also had a small cafe in the library.
And after all of those, the interior and exterior design which combines 19th century catholic church and museum, was the ultimate beauty that signified the old city of urban serenity.

2019 Fukuoka, Japan (Backpacking Kyushu in 7days)
We didn't plan this trip, was a very last min decision (4 days before departure) to backpack Kyushu (Fukuoka / Oita / Miyazaki / Beppu) region in 1 week coz flight tickets to Fukuoka was one of the cheapest if u wanna go Japan at that time. The trip decisions made on where to go were pretty spontaneous and last min. We love hiking, so most of our agendas were based on where to hike given the availability of public transport, though accessibility is a challenge to these areas if you do not have your own transport.
Initially, we decided to rent a motorbike and travel around coz it would be way much easier to the hiking start points. However, i didnt know that they needed an international motorcycle license. Silly me thought that my class 2A riding license was enough. but anyway, the trip was too last min acquire an international license as well.
also, we got lost while trying to get out of at Mt Abura. Realized that we're lost at [03:52] haha! so most of the vid timing is dedicated to an unmanned path we discovered while following the stream out! hahas.
and we didn't manage to go up the peak of Mt. Yufu coz it was just too late.So here's how we roll via Japan public transport system (and occasionally discovering cheaper alternatives rather than following the routes proposed by google. haha). It's quite a budget trip. We dont do taxi, so thank God for kind Japanese ppl for those several hitchhiking occasions where public transport were done for the day. While we're Hakata, we're mostly on foot, so we stumbled lotsa good stuff along the way!
made some Japanese friends over ther through playing Touch and we had an awesome chankonabe dinner with some smooth Asahi and Sake on tap! so so good.
haha, sorry that the vid is 30mins. there's a 2min version of this (i made while one the plane back to Singapore):
here's a brief Itinerary:
Day 1: [00:41]
Day 2: [01:34], Mt. Abura, lost at [03:53]
Day 3: [08:54], Mt Yufu
Day 4: [15:31], Takachiho Gorge
Day 5: [20:05], Beppu
Day 6: [24:12], Canal City, Hakata & meeting some up with Japanese Touch players for a chankonabe dinner!
Day 7: [28:15], Asahi Brewery Hakata (but the tours were fully booked on weekend), so we walked to Fukuoka Airport to head home.

Kayoicho Park in Cherry Blossom Season, Kasuya, Fukuoka ???? 駕与丁公園●福岡県粕屋町 ???? Japan As It Truly Is
Kayoicho Park is a secret cherry blossom gem where you can see a million blossoms without a million other people next to you.
Kayoicho Park (駕与丁公園) is also well known for its rose garden - one of the biggest in Fukuoka Prefecture. It's a large area that surrounds the Kayoicho Pond, and it makes a great place to unwind. It's also easy to visit (get off at Chojabaru Stn) on the way to see one of Japan's greatest yet unknown temples, Nanzoin:
You can also see the large white Kasuya Dome in the background.
If you want to know why somebody is tending a few roosters by the park, I have no clue.
The park website is:

SOLO Kyushu Road Trip Part 1 Fukuoka, Saga & Nagasaki Prefectures | Adventures in Japan
Here is Part 1 of 3 of my Kyushu Road Trip. Last month I decided to go on a 10-day Solo Road Trip across all seven Prefectures of Kyushu. Before I went on this trip people were telling me there was no way I could visit all seven prefectures in just 10 days and see everything I wanted to see. Well, they were wrong! I managed to do everything on my very busy itinerary as well as a few spontaneous things without feeling rushed. At first, I was a little nervous about going on a long trip by myself. I thought I might get lonely or not have as much fun. However, this trip could not have come at a better time. I had a phenomenal time traveling solo through Kyushu and will definitely do more solo traveling in the future.

■TripNotes
Spot1:Itoshima Peninsula
Itoshima Peninsula is 1 hour away from the center of Fukuoka. On these beautiful beaches you can enjoy barbecue and surfing. Amongst them, Sakurai Futamigaura is particularly known for its beautiful sunset.
If you go inland, you can go trekking into 1000 meters high mountains and witness stunning waterfalls. If you visit in the winter, don't forget to try the famous oysters at the Oyster House (Kakigoya).
Spot2:Hakata stalls
Speaking of gourmet, look no further than Fukuoka's street food. At night the town lights up with numerous food stalls frequented by both tourists and locals.
The food stalls don't just serve delicious food, but also create an ambiance to help interact with other people who have gathered. They are open from 6 pm until dawn where you can have Ramen, Yakitori, and other local dishes of Fukuoka along with alcoholic beverages and you can also spend time with the local people.
Spot2:Mojiko Retro
Mojiko, which prospered from coal export in the 19th century, still has many western style buildings that were popular at the time. It's a popular spot with over 2 million tourists visiting each year, and has retro buildings that are still being used as libraries, cafés and restaurants.
The town lights up at night and you can take an evening stroll while enjoying the sights of Mojiko port and the Kanmon Straits.
Food:Hakata Ramen
Fukuoka boasts of its Hakata Ramen. What makes this Ramen special is its thick pork bone soup stock. The pork bone is boiled at a high temperature for quite a long time so that the gelatin from the bone melts, making the soup thicker.
Taste the deliciousness of the thick pork soup mixed with Hakata style superfine noodles.

[Japan] Fukuoka - Yanagawa
As i was walking through shopping streets in Fukuoka, I ended up in Canal City Hakata mall where random J pop boysbands were peforming, then I went to Sumiyoshi shrine, Fukuoka castle ruins where you can get a great view of the city and finished my days by a walk (and a cake obviously) in Ohori park.
I took a daytrip to Yanagawa, nicknamed Japan's little Venice because of its many canals found all around town. I had steamed eel for lunch, a local specialty, and it was delicious! :)
