- We Love London
London in December
Hi travellers! Our adventure started in London, we didn't get the opportunity to see everything as we were only there for two days. We loved London, winter did not bother us one bit, the culture of London during December presents magical Christmas lights, warm ambiance of diverse foods, hided bars of Soho, vintage whiskey's and wines and hospitable people. London reminds me of a novel, that's divided into chapters, then chapters into scenes, then into sentences; London is like a series of rooms, doors and passages ...

mamapurplerainbows takes us to gabriel'swharf southbank
mamapurplerainbows takes us to Gabriel's Wharf, southbank, southwark, by the river Thames
LONDON, BABY!
I've taken a quick break from Tobago videos to bring you a day in London! We'll be back in Tobago next week though, don't you worry!
After a 10 hour flight back from Tobago we landed at the Gatwick Airport in London. I then took an hour bus ride into Victoria Station to spend the day in London before hopping on a night bus (I wish it was the Knight Bus) back to Edinburgh.
It was my first time back to London since I studied abroad there 8 years ago and as I walked memories flooded into me.
I walked from the bus station to the River Thames then proceeded to spend about 4-5 hours wandering up and down it. I saw Parliament, the London Eye (which takes a half an hour to make a full rotation), Big Ben, and Westminster Abbey. I bought the first Lord Of The Rings book at an outdoor book market, ate a burrito from a food truck, listened to a local singer perform (Charlotte Campbell), watched a street magician, saw amazing works of art in sand at Gabriel's Wharf, watched some skaters at the graffiti covered South Bank Skate Park, and more.
Then I walked through St. Jame's Park towards Buckingham Palace. After watching some guards change (though not the morning's official changing of the guard) I headed back to grab a cuppa tea at a local cafe before preparing for the long bus ride home where Joe met me at 6:30 am at the Edinburgh bus station.
