Here's a commercial for the Colonial Mall of Gadsden, now known simply as the Gadsden Mall. I remember being a kid in the early 2000s and seeing this regularly on television. When I was 5 or 6, I used to confuse the background music in this commercial with Jump by Van Halen. This particular airing comes from Lifetime in March 2003. I personally haven't seen this commercial since 2005 or 2006, so here it is for the first time on YouTube!

Roy Moore Was Banned From Alabama Mall For Pursuing Teenagers
Republican Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore now has 5 women accusing him of inappropriate sexual advances, with one woman going as far as to say that Moore attempted to rape her many years ago. Now news has emerged saying that Moore was banned from an Alabama mall in the 1980’s for trying to get dates with teenagers – when he was in his 30’s. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this.

Monday was a very bad day for Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore. You see now a total of five women have come forward accusing Roy Moore of sexual improprieties. One women has essentially accused Moore of attempting to rape her when she was teenager, when Moore was in his 30's.
And now even later in the day on Monday, a story came out saying that Roy Moore in the 1980's, was actually banned from the Gadsden Mall in the City of Gadsden, Alabama because he would go to the mall on the weekends and hang out like a teenager, even though again he was in his 30's, and he would proposition young female teenagers at the mall.
The problem became so intense that they banned him from going to the mall. And this man then later went on to become the Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, was embroiled with scandals involving the 10 Commandments and his want-to-be religious rule in the state of Alabama for years, and now that he's running for Senate finally these accusations are coming out.
However, and I know this ... I'm not trying to attack any of the victims here whatsoever, we could have ended this mans career a long time ago if we had had the culture back then that we currently have today, that's erupted since Harvey Weinstein, that would have allowed these women to come forward and tell their stories and put an end to Moore's predatory behavior and his dictatorial rule back then.
Unfortunately, it took this long for us to get to a point where we actually start to believe women when they say that men sexually assaulted them or sexually harassed them, which explains why these women did not come forward sooner.
Nonetheless, the fact that a person who is running for a Senate seat, to serve in the US Senate as a republican, was banned from a mall in the 80's because of inappropriate behavior. Why is it that that mall has higher standards than the republican party of the United States? That's what's at issue here. Not just that Moore did this, and probably should be criminally prosecuted for it, but the fact that a mall in the town of Gadsden, Alabama has more scruples than the entire republican party.
There are still republicans out there today, including Mo Brooks from Alabama, who believe that Roy Moore should not step down. That he should continue running for Senate. There's been a few that have spoken out and said he should drop out, or that if he wins we should go ahead and kick him out anyway, but that's beside the point. They need to put an end to it now. They have the power to put an end to it now. They just don't have the courage to do it.
They're going to let somebody, who is by all accounts at this point pretty much guilty of pedophilia, run as their candidate, become the face of their party, get all of this massive attention to the republicans for all the wrong reasons. They're going to continue to let him run for office because nobody in that party has enough courage to step forward and say, You know what Roy Moore? It's time for you to go.

Gadsden is a city in and the county seat of Etowah County in the U.S. state of Alabama. It is located on the Coosa River about 56 miles (90 km) northeast of Birmingham and 90 miles (140 km) southwest of Chattanooga, Tennessee. It is the primary city of the Gadsden Metropolitan Statistical Area, which has a population of 103,931. As of the 2010 census, the population of the city was 36,856, with an estimated population of 35,837 in 2016. Gadsden and Rome, Georgia, are the largest cities in the triangular area now defined by the interstate highways between Atlanta, Birmingham, and Chattanooga.
In the 19th century, Gadsden was at one time Alabama's second-most important center of commerce and industry, trailing only the seaport of Mobile. The two cities were important shipping centers: Gadsden for riverboats and Mobile for international trade.
From the late 19th century through the 1980s, Gadsden was a center of heavy industry, including the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and Republic Steel. More than a decade after the sharp decline in industry, in 1991 Gadsden was awarded the honor of All-America City by the National Civic League. This honored the way Gadsden's citizens, government, businesses, and voluntary organizations have worked together to address critical local issues.

Three Major Alabama Newspapers Urge Voters To 'Reject' Roy Moore
Three of Alabama’s largest newspapers owned by the same company on Sunday urged voters to “stand for decency” and “reject” Alabama Republican Roy Moore in the state’s Dec. 12 Senate special election.
Moore, a former state supreme court justice, has been accused of sexual misconduct *by multiple women. One of the women said Moore initiated sexual contact with her when he was a 32-year-old in a local district attorney’s office and she was just 14 years old.
The editorial appeared on the front pages of The Birmingham News, Mobile Press-Register and The Huntsville Times, which are owned by the Alabama Media Group. The editorial is also featured at the top of the papers’ website, AL.com.
“This election has become a referendum on whether we will accept this kind of behavior from our leaders,” the editorial said, urging voters to instead support Democrat Doug Jones in next month’s election for the seat Republican Jeff Sessions vacated to serve as President Donald Trump’s attorney general.
“How can we look our neighbors, our parishioners, our colleagues, our partners, or our children in the eyes and tell them they are worth less than ensuring one political party keeps a Senate seat?” it continued. “How can we expect young Alabamians to have faith in their government or their church, when its leaders equivocate on matters as clear cut as sexual abuse?”
“A vote for Roy Moore sends the worst kind of message to Alabamians struggling with abuse: ‘if you ever do tell your story, Alabama won’t believe you,’” the editorial said.
Moore, 70, has repeatedly denied the allegations, even as another woman came forward this week and accused him of sexually assaulting her when she was 16.
“They’re not only untrue, but they have no evidence to support them,” he said at a rally on Friday.
The New York Times published a story Saturday detailing Moore’s behavior and frequent visits to a mall in Gadsden, Alabama, when he was in his 30s. The paper quoted Glenn Day, a store manager at the mall in those years, who said that a mall guard asked him to let security know whenever he saw Moore on the premises.
