McLean County IL Health Depart Absent- Bar Patrons on Bar Property Violate SFIA by Open Bar Windows
Oh no say its not true again? More overwhelming evidence week after week of bar patrons at this venue sitting on bar property openly violating the SFIA. The bar doors are actually open, but those air tight bug screens are closed providing a wall of protection for the bar patrons sitting at the table just inside from all of that second hand smoke drifting through them. The sad part this happens almost every week except in the colder months when its just too cold to have the doors open. Everyone ignores the law putting the non-smoker bar patrons at risk. But, no one will enforce this law in Bloomington. The police walk by as friends, bar patrons or just plain strangers violate the law in front of them. No warning, no fines, they just walk right on by as if it never happens. The Illinois Health Department ignores the complaints, they just send them to the local Health Departments who also ignore the complaints and the evidence that corroborates the violation. The violations continue unabated as if the law did not exist.
The tax payers are being cheated by their own public officials and public safety officers. They should be fining this venues and patrons who openly violate the law each week. But, they do not, protecting their revenue stream instead of the public's health.
