Galway Market Ireland and Beyond
The emerald isle is an enchanting old place full of narrow winding roads, quaint little towns, and really nice people. Driving on the opposite side of the car and street takes some getting used to. Once you get the hang of it, driving is one of the best ways to get to see the beautiful Irish countryside. Galway was one of the last destinations on our journey but one of our favorite locations. Situated on the West coast on a bay Galway has a nice market area which is full of restaurants, shops and bars. It is located adjacent to a large park which seems to be a popular spot for teens to hang out with friends.

Galway, a harbour city on Ireland’s west coast, sits where the River Corrib meets the Atlantic Ocean. The city’s hub is 18th-century Eyre Square, a popular meeting spot surrounded by shops and traditional pubs that often offer live Irish folk music. Galway is one of Ireland's most picturesque cities. Galway is jam packed during Christmas, it’s famous for its Christmas market , atmospheric pubs, colourful streets.
In December, from 9am to 6pm from the 14th until Christmas Eve, stalls glow with candles and fairylights during Galway's enchanting Christmas market. Stalls sell farm-fresh produce, arts, crafts and ready-to-eat snacks such as curries and crepes.
Galway's festive street market is set up on Church lane by St Nicholas' Church.
One of the joys of wandering through Galway is stumbling across its small speciality shops selling everything from Irish-made fashion to local art and jewellery, including its Claddagh rings (with a heart, signifying love, between two hands, symbolising friendship and topped by a crown, representing loyalty), named for the original fishing village. Most iconic spots are the Galway cathedral ,Spanish arch,lynch castle .
