Trip to Hawaii
About Hawaii -
There are six major islands to visit in Hawaii: Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, and Hawaii Island. You'll find each island has its own distinct personality and offers its own adventures, activities and sights. Mark Twain called Hawaii, That peaceful land, that beautiful land... the climate, one long delicious summer day, and the good that die experience no change, for they but fall asleep in one heaven and wake up in another.

About Six Islands -
Kauai
Kauai is the fourth largest of the Hawaiian islands, as well as the fourth most visited by tourists. Kauai's nickname is the Garden Island because of its tropical climate, waterfalls and lush vegetation
Oahu
Oahu is by far the most popular destination among tourists, attracting nearly twice as many visitors as Maui each year. It is the third largest Hawaiian island, It is also the most populated, and home to the capital, Honolulu.
Molokai
Molokai is the fifth largest Hawaiian island, It is best known for agriculture and ranching, but is also notable for being home to the world's highest sea cliffs. Notable attractions to check out include the Molokai volcanoes in the east and west.
Lanai
Lanai was once nicknamed the Pineapple Island because at one point, nearly the entire island was a pineapple plantation. Lanai is now the fifth most visited island, Most of the island remains undeveloped.
Maui
Maui is the second largest island. Maui is most notable for its mountain ranges and valleys, and is often called the Valley Isle. It is the second most popular tourist destination in the state. While visiting Maui, make time to see the Kaanapali and Wailea resort areas and Haleakala.
Hawaii
Hawaii -- also known as the Big Island -- is not only the largest of the Hawaiian islands, it is also the largest island in the United States. The Big Island is the third most visited by tourists each year. When visiting the Big Island, you'll want to see the Maunaloa volcanoes, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and Kealakekua Bay.

Travel Vdeo Guide To: Lanai, Hawaii
Once the location of a booming pineapple industry owned by the Dole Food Company, Lanai today is a quiet and beautiful island with a small permanent population. Lanai City is the main spot for shopping and dining, though nature is not far from the city center. The Hawaiian landscape can be viewed from the Munro Trail, and the Garden of the Gods is found just 45 minutes outside of the city. Remarkable natural landmarks like Sweetheart Rock reveal the expansiveness of the Hawaiian scenery.
The Pineapple Isle
Appropriately known as the Pineapple Isle, Lanai was once entirely owned by the Dole Food company who cultivated the island’s pineapple industry. Today, Lanai is a calm, tranquil and romantic island destination with a small population of just over three thousand.
Lanai City
Lanai City is the center of business of the island, and therefore the majority of the island’s best shopping and dining locations are found here. As it is located on an area of highlands, it is much cooler than cities found on the coast. Lanai City is considered one of the United States’ most endangered historic spots, with many notable old sites in danger of demolition.
The Munro Trail
The Munro Trail offers splendid views of the extensive Hawaiian landscape. The trail runs past rain forest, pine trees and canyons. Make sure to stop at the lookout for a stunning picture of the scenery.
Garden of the Gods
Featured roughly 45-minutes outside of Lanai City is a rock garden referred to as the Garden of the Gods. These rock spires and towers were formed by years of erosion, and the entire site is a great spot for a hike.
Sweetheart Rock
Sweetheart Rock is a wondrous natural landmark that rises out of the ocean. Spectacular views of sunsets and even Hulopoe Bay are visible after a hike to the top of this legendary attraction.
The Experience at Koele
Though it is a small island, there is plenty of room for a great golfing experience. This golf course, known as the Experience at Koele, offers great views of the ocean and mountains, and features vivid greens.

A six-hour sea cruise along the coast of Kauai island - what could be more wonderful! We saw dolphins and whales, majestic mountains and wild beaches, swimming in the ocean with turtles ... It's just a small part of our journey, but in it you can feel the spirit of Hawaii.

Our life is compared with travel. And it's not accidental. When I go to distant countries, I break away from the ordinary and the usual world order and become light and free, like the wind. In this state I am learning to trust my intuition, to see and hear this world, to understand its hidden meanings. My soul gets the experience of living in harmony with the universe and learns to see the beauty of the god in it.
My channel is not only about my impressions of trips to different countries and places of power. First of all, it is an attempt at spiritual journey and spiritual growth. This is a symbolic journey into the world of signs of the universe.
A few words about me: My life is a real odyssey. I was born in Riga, the capital of Latvia, lived in Belarus, then moved to Moscow, Russia and now I live in the city of my dreams New York. My native language is Russian. After graduating from the University of Cinema VGIK, I worked for a long time in Moscow as a journalist, editor, wrote about cinema, directed short films and made a program on TV. Now I was carried away by travel, video and photography, which turned into my passion. I have visited about 30 countries, including USA, Russia, India, China, Singapore, Vietnam, United Arab Emirates, Norway, France, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Egypt, Greece, Turkey, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, The Bahamas ... Travel, video and photography help me understand myself and the world around us. Like the hero of Paulo Coelho's book The Alchemist, I try to listen to my heart and perceive the visible world as a ghostly reflection of a subtle upper world filled with light and love ...

Lana'i History, Culture, and Outdoor Fun
Hawaiian Airlines makes it easy to travel between islands with its O'hana by Hawaiian flights. Host Ashley Colburn arrives in Lana'i with a Hawaiian Airlines flight attendant and local and finds there's lots to do on this tiny island.
For starters, there is not just one Four Seasons Resort on the smallest inhabited island in Hawaii—there are two! The Four Seasons Resort Lana’i, Manele Bay is placed almost directly on the beach, so there isn’t a bad view to be found, and the resort also offers golfing, a spa, and fabulous restaurants.
The Lodge at Koele is all about being in the country and relaxing in a lodge-type atmosphere. It still meets all expectations of a Four Seasons, but it has the added touch of horses and a bit more of a sporty feel. Clay shooting, horseback riding, and archery are all things you can find at the Lodge at Koele—and don’t worry, they have a spa at this property, too.
The culture and history in Lana’i is very interesting, and visitors can go to the Culture and Heritage Center in Lana’i city to see how the island’s history has transformed over the years. Once a massive pineapple-producing island, Lana’i now only grows plants as ornamental reminders of its past.
For some outdoor adventure, Ashley took a four-wheel drive excursion out to see the Garden of the Gods, or Keahiakawelo (“otherworldly rock garden”), as the Hawaiians call it. It’s quite a change in scenery when coming from the beach; it almost feels like being on the moon. It makes for a fun half-day expedition.
Last up was a little horseback ride and some shooting lessons with Lanai Western Adventures. At the Lodge at Kohele, visitors can take a fantastic ride through Lana’i’s countryside as well head up to the shooting range for some fun target practice. It’s a ton of fun, and a knowledgeable shooting instructor will work with you to make sure you are safe and having a great time.

Lanai, Hawaii - Munro Trail & Kaunolu (4 August 2010)
Lanai is amazing, it is owned by a single person (David Murdock), population around 3,000 and not a single traffic light on the island. The trails are mainly 4WD dirt roads, not technical but flowy in the down slope with some loose sand and rough lava rocks.
Started at 9.30am from the resort at Koele to Munro Trail, mainly uphill with some stunning views and rewarded at the end with a fast and smooth down hill section to Manele Bay. Had lunch for an hour and headed to Kaunolu, all downhill and fast. But the climb back up was tough.
Ended back at Koele at 4.30pm, total ride distance around 40 km.
