At 2500 feet in length, this Wiegand alpine coaster is the shortest of the four alpine coasters in the area but still a very fun ride and well worth trying out. This video was filmed at full speed throughout the ride.
The Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster is located near Pigeon Forge in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Also called mountain coasters, these gravity-operated rides installed on a hill or mountain utilizes a track made of stainless steel tubes. The sleds are designed to not come off of the track during the ride and riders control their speed by applying or releasing brakes connected to levers on each side of the sled.

One of the longest alpine mountain coasters in North America will lots of twists and turns! All this fun is only $15 to ride the 1st time and $8 for re-rides for the rest of the day with your receipt. I went on the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster and it was a little more expensive and the ride was shorter. It was an amazing experience to go on the longest mountain coaster in America.

This mountainside resort is 2.5 miles from downtown Gatlinburg. It's 3.2 miles from Great Smoky Mountains National Park and 5.6 miles from Pigeon Forge's country music sights. The modern log villas with relaxed interiors come as studios or 1- to 5-bedroom units. All have TVs and WiFi, plus kitchenettes or kitchens. Some add fireplaces and balconies. Dining options include a grill restaurant, a cocktail lounge and 2 snack bars. There's an adjacent water park (fee) as well as 2 outdoor pools and 2 hot tubs, plus a gym and a day spa. Other amenities include a game room and a children's playground.

I did it, I rode the LONGEST mountain coaster in America. While heading down to Tennessee, Lili said she wants to do something fun & exciting. So while browsing the web, I came upon a site for the coaster of all Mountain coasters. The Smoky Mountain Alpine coaster, which is located in Pigeon Forge boasts the record for being the Longest coaster in America. So we knew we had to ride it.
