This hike is at Yosemite National Park right at the Tioga pass entrance. It's a little bit strenuous but a very rewarding 2 mile round trip hike. This is one of the most beautiful lakes I've seen in Yosemite.

Gaylor Lakes - Yosemite National Park (HD)
The hike to Gaylor Lakes traverses one of the highest maintained trails in Yosemite National Park, and offers some of the most spectacular high-country views off Tioga Road. It begins from Tioga Pass, at an elevation of 9945 feet, and reaches heights of 10,540 feet along the saddle ridge between Gaylor Peak and the unnamed mountain to the south.
The hike begins with a fairly steep climb, which gains almost 600 feet during the first six-tenths of a mile. This is the hardest part of the hike, and will surely take your breath away, especially if you're not acclimated to the altitude. From this point forward, however, the trail travels along mostly easy to moderate terrain.
At the top of the saddle you'll be rewarded with spectacular views of Dana Meadows and 12,117-foot Mammoth Peak to the south, 12,764-foot Mt. Gibbs towards the southeast, and 13-053 Mt. Dana towards the east. On the other side of the ridge you'll have a birds-eye view of Middle Gaylor Lake and the entire Gaylor Lakes Basin.

It was an easy 1.5h hike with amazing view. It would have been great if my daughters could summit with me. As far as distance and elevation gain are concerned, it was doable for anyone. Unfortunately, my daughters had an altitude sickness. They had to turn back half mile before the summit because of headache.

The alpine meadows of this northeast corner of Yosemite National Park provide a excellent day-hiking area. Access is from the Tioga Pass parking lot by a short trail climbing over a 500 ft. ridge to the north.

LUKENS LAKE TRAIL YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK
The Lukens Lake Trail is right off of Tioga Pass in Yosemite National Park. This is an easy 1.6 mile round trip hike. As you start walking to the lake you are surrounded by extremely tall beautiful trees everywhere. When you finally reached the lake it's just an awesome sight! If you're looking for a not so crowded quick easy yet beautiful hike this is definitely the one! This our video tour of this amazing trail!
