A walk through the colonial gems of Hanoi's French Quarter
Hanoi's French Quarter is home to some of Vietnam's most captivating colonial era architecture. We take a walk through the city's colonial past starting at St Joseph's Cathedral. We visit Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi Opera House, the Metropole Hotel, the Vietnamese History Museum and more.
The Vietnamese government shut down Poem Mountain || We still climbed it! (Halong Bay, Vietnam) ????????
The Vietnamese government shutdown Bai Tho Mountain, also known as Poem Mountain for safety reasons. If you go on Trip Advisor, many of the reviews will say that it is impossible to hike up this mountain and that the lady at the entrance will not accept any money. While that may be true for some, that wasn't the case for me and my group of friends. Bai Tho mountain is a hit or miss type of location. Although it is deemed closed, travelers are still able to hike to the top, it just all depends on the lady's mood. In the past, the price to hike up was less than 100,000 VND ( Around 5 USD). Now, it's five times as much! I'll let you decide if it's worth climbing.

Hanoi's coolest crumbling colonial mansion?
A French colonial villa on Hanoi’s Chan Cam St has become one of the most photographed colonial ruins in the city. These days it’s occupied by designers, a popular cafe and other cool small businesses. We met Son, a young guy making beautiful ceramics with his father, that draw on the design traditions of Vietnam’s 10th and 11th century dynasties.

Plants, Pets, Art, and Wooden Furniture on Hoàng Hoa Thám Street - VIETNAM WALK
Plants, flowers, shrubbery, fish, birds, dogs, cats, art, stone carvings, wooden furniture... it's all here on Hoàng Hoa Thám street in Hanoi, Vietnam!
Hoàng Hoa Thám Street was named after Hoàng Hoa Thám, the leader of the Yên Thế Insurrection, holding out against French control in Northern Vietnam for 25 years. There are quite a few places named after him.
This street is long, and runs through the middle of Hanoi city. But along a certain stretch of the road, close to where I live, is where a ton of hand-carved wooden furniture, fish tanks, birds in bird cages, paintings, stone carvings, polished stones, and many types of plants are being sold.
It's a very interesting part of the city. The trees are tall and create a nice canopy over the street, keeping the temperatures cooler than the rest of the city.
I hope you enjoyed the walking video. It was very straight forward, literally, as I walked straight instead of zig-zagging my way through side alleys. It's one of the few videos, if any, where I've filmed it in this way. But it still gives you a good idea about the sights and sounds of this street.

VIETNAM! DON'T EVER MISS THESE HIDDEN PLACES!
We bought some SICK motorbikes in Hanoi and went on an adventure through the epic and unreal landscapes of northern Vietnam at the Chinese border.
Sa Pa, Ha Giang LOOP and many many stops at the local mechanics.
Anyway, our bikes finally did a good job and we arrived in Hanoi after 14 spectacular days and 1456 hard kilometers on these crappy roads...
We've also visited Cat Ba Island, the biggest and less touristy island at Halong bay.
Dive in to our personal impressions of Vietnam and be prepared to the second part of the video where Dominik gets his first tattoo EVER!
See you very very soon in PART 2!

Halong Bay Best Cruise | Genesis Luxury Regal Cruises Tour | Must Visit Vietnam Travel Guide
Halong Bay is one of the most visited places in all Vietnam. It would be hard to find one travel guide that doesn't recommend making a visit to this natural wonder. It's not surprising considering it has been recognized twice as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The most popular way to take in the all of its beauty of Ha Long Bay is to take an overnight luxury cruise.
In this vlog, we partnered with Genesis Regal Cruise show you what it's like to take a luxury junk boat and to sail through the sparkling emerald water of Halong Bay while taking in karst limestone formations.
The experience was truly magical and we definitely would put Ha Long Bay on your bucket list if you're traveling to Vietnam.

HIDDEN GEMS OF SAIGON + THE CAFE APARTMENTS | Vietnam | Vlog 034
On our final day in Ho Chi Minh City we start the day with another trip to the amazing Workshop Coffee house. We then go on to explore the Apartment Cafe block on Nguyen Hue walking street, an apartment block that has been transformed in to small cafes, restaurants and boutique stores.
After a failed attempt at shopping and a delicious lunch in a back alley restaurant called the Old Compass Cafe, we head back out later that evening for a few more surprises.
We end the night at our favourite Bun Cha restaurant on Bui Vien street after stumbling upon a Japanese Festival... this may have been our most random day yet...

36 Hours at the Capital of Vietnam: Hanoi
“Feel the heart of Vietnam”
SUBSCRIBE ↳
Hanoi, the heart of Vietnam, is a popular tourist attraction for visitors drawn to the country’s sophisticated restaurants, contemporary arts, modern buildings and diverse culture.
The capital and its colonial architecture and dynamic street life give travelers beautiful photography opportunities that cannot be found elsewhere.
With an increase in construction projects meant to replace older neighborhoods, Hanoi is becoming more prosperous than ever.

Vietnam Travel Guide: Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Ho Chi Minh
Gorgeous beaches, fascinating and complicated history, incredible food, lush nature; Vietnam is a country that truly has it all. Whether this country is first or fiftieth on your list, our travel guide has all the information you need to know if you’re planning (or dreaming of planning!) a trip to Vietnam.
Leave your expectations behind if you’re heading to Vietnam: here, you’ll eat noodles for breakfast, do your shopping in the middle of the night, and discover a country with a new story around every corner.
Hanoi more than delivers on urban excitement. If you’re looking for unique and mouth-watering food, the night markets of the Vietnamese capital should be your very first stop. You can enjoy a zippy ride on a scooter, all the street-food you can eat, and a night exploring the rapid development of this modern city. From trendy clubs to traditional puppet shows, experience a nightlife that’s all Vietnam’s own, and eat and drink the night away with locals and visitors alike!
Of course, Vietnam isn’t all fast-paced cities and rooftop bars. For a slower pace, head to Ha Long Bay and sail alongside limestone islets, with their lush rainforests towering above your head. The water is emerald-green, matching the vibrant greenery, and a sailing excursion here is like nothing else you’ve experienced before! A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the islets of Ha Long Bay are said have been thrown into the bay by a dragon protecting the people of Vietnam. Take a junk boat tour for a close encounter, or try scuba diving or snorkelling in the bay!
You’ll find a new adventure around every corner in Vietnam. From breakfast in the Bình Tây Market and a secret tunnel system in Ho Chi Minh City, to sailing along the Mekong Delta in a traditional basket boat, you can find your perfect trip - no matter what that looks like - somewhere in Vietnam.
There’s no time like the present to start planning an adventure of your own in this majestic country, so why not start today? Head over to TourRadar to explore the range of tours available, or watch more of our videos exploring Vietnam if you still haven’t gotten enough of seeing the beautiful views and incredible adventures you could be having.

VIETNAM'S HIDDEN GEM! **POEM MOUNTAIN**
I heard about this secret secluded part of Vietnam with the best view of Ha Long Bay before I started my travels, I wasn't disappointed! With no tourists, for the reason between climbing fences and hiking up a mountain, Poem Mountain is one of Vietnams best treasures!
Hidden away in a locals back garden and car garage! (Possibly the only actual car garage in Vietnam!) Pay a local a small fee to be let in and you can spend the day up here!
*I'd advise doing it with a friend, not like me being an idiot*
