The Geological Museum of Budapest is the main museum of geology in Hungary. It is located on the Stefánia utca in the western part of Pest.
The building was originally the home of the Hungarian Geological Society, which was established in 1869. The building was designed by Ödön Lechnerin 1896. It still houses the Geological Institute of Hungary.
Műemléki védelem alatt álló szecessziós székháza Budapest XIV. kerületében, a Stefánia út 14. sz. alatt található. Az épület Lechner Ödöntervei szerint, Hauszmann Sándor irányításával készült el 1898-1899-ben. Létrehozásához a kormányon és a fővároson kívül Semsey Andorjárult hozzá jelentős adománnya

2010. augusztus 30. és szeptember 19. között lehetett megtekinteni kívülről és belülről a majdnem 140 éves Lajta vagy Leitha elnevezésű monitorhajót Budapesten, az Újpesti öbölben. Erről a korhűen felújított hajóról készült képeimet láthatjátok videó formátumban! :-)
From 30 August to 19 September 2010, people could visit and see the almost 140-year-old Lajta or Leitha monitor boat outside and inside in Budapest, at Újpest Bay. You can see my pictures from this renovated boat in this video. :-)
