Haunted New Orleans Cemetery Cities of the Dead Tour
St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 is the oldest and most famous. It was opened in 1789, replacing the city's older St. Peter Cemetery (no longer in existence) as the main burial ground when the city was redesigned after a fire in 1788.
It is 8 blocks from the Mississippi River, on the north side of Basin Street, one block beyond the inland border of the French Quarter. It borders the Iberville housing project. It has been in continuous use since its foundation. The nonprofit group Save Our Cemeteries and commercial businesses offer tours for a fee.
Famous New Orleanians buried in St. Louis No. 1 include Etienne de Boré, wealthy pioneer of the sugar industry and the first mayor of New Orleans; Homer Plessy, the plaintiff from the landmark 1896 Plessy v. Ferguson Supreme Court decision on civil rights; and Ernest N. Dutch Morial, the first African-American mayor of New Orleans.
The renowned Voodoo priestess Marie Laveau is believed to be interred in the Glapion family crypt. Other notable New Orleanians here include Bernard de Marigny, the French-Creole playboy who brought the game of craps to the United States; Barthelemy Lafon, the architect and surveyor who allegedly became one of Jean Lafitte's pirates; and Paul Morphy, one of the earliest world champions of chess. Delphine LaLaurie is also believed to lay in rest here. Architect and engineer Benjamin Latrobe was buried there after dying from yellow fever in 1820 while doing engineering for the New Orleans water works. In 2010, actor Nicolas Cage purchased a pyramid shaped tomb to be his future final resting place.
The cemetery spans just one square block but is the resting place of many thousands. A Protestant section (generally not vaulted) lies in the north-west section.

NEW ORLEANS WALKING TOUR | French Quarter, Jackson Square, Bourbon Street
New Orleans is one of the most unique and romanticized cities in the United States. The vibrant French Quarter is always bustling with activity and celebrations. Bourbon Street is a must-visit for both the tourists and the locals. Local cuisine is a centuries long fusion of various cultures and styles. For us, the biggest WOW moment was when our waiter asked, would y'all like that beer to go?.
Our walking tour of New Orleans focused mainly on the French Quarter and Bourbon Street. Since we were staying in the French Quarter, it was easy to walk around and access the famous sights and smells. Traveling only by foot, our adventures took us through Bourbon Street, Canal Street, the Riverwalk, and Jackson Square. These are some of the most popular destinations for tourists, and also the areas that feature some of NOLA's finest restaurants.

NEW ORLEANS MOST HAUNTED (LALAURIE MANSION)
One of the French Quarters most haunted place
My last video (the Charlie Charlie Game)
Lafayette Cemetery in New Orleans
Today I visited Lafayette Cemetery in the Garden District of New Orleans. This place has some very old tombs, plus it's one of the most used cemeteries in New Orleans for film and television! It's been used for productions such as, 'Double Jeopardy', 'NCIS: New Orleans', and even the New Kids on the Block music video for 'You Got It (The Right Stuff)'.

America's Most Haunted - French Quarter, New Orleans (Halloween 2012)
Take a haunted tour of New Orleans and learn about the story of ghosts.
Hi. My name is Sidney Smith. I am the owner of Haunted History Tour, here in New Orleans. Tonight, you are going to be taking the Haunted History Tour. With your tour guide, Renee Lazair.
Hello. My name is Renee Lazair. Today we will be taking a walking tour of the French quarter. The sights of actual documented hauntings. Folks, we are here at the number one most haunted building in the French quarter. This behind me right here is the La Lare' mansion. Also known as The Blight of New Orleans. 1830s a woman by the name of Delfine La Lare' inhierited 3 million dollars from her grandparents. She used that fortune to purchase this mansion, she moves in with her doctor husband. Dr. Luis Leonard La Lare'. So great was her taste that she had the entire first floor gutted out and converted into a ballroom. Complete with an Italian marble floor.
Over the years, during her parties, people noticed she like disappeared and show up in an entirely new dress. Well, her last night in New Orleans, it would be revealed why she was having to change her dress. Mid-way through a party, fire breaks out in the kitchen, which is now the parking garage. Fire department enters and they quickly put out the small grease fire. But they over hear the slaves talking about the atrocities going on inside. They exit the kitchen, enter the ballroom, empty all the party guests out onto this sidewalk, much like you are all standing right now. Of course the fire fighters they enter this building and make their way up to the third floor. There they make a very ghastly discovery. One room, several victims in various states of torture.
First, the which is a woman face down on the floor. Her arms and legs have been surgically removed from her one by one. Found a woman inside of a box. Had to take this box apart to get her out of it. That is when they realized that her bones and joints had been broken and dislocated so she could be folded up and put into that box. Two men are shackled against the wall. Both their faces horribly disfigured. Only thing keeping them alive, the maggots. Last person found is a woman. No cuts or marks or bruises, but visibly shaken. Fire fighters unlock her. Instead of her thanking them for setting her free from these people, she takes off running. Comes crashing out of that window, which you now see bricked up on the third floor. On her way down her neck hits the gally railing snapping her neck, flopping her dead in the street in front of all the party guests. I cannot wait for Halloween.

The Haunting of the Andrew Jackson Hotel: A New Orleans Ghost Story
Spooky season is upon us, and leading up to Halloween, I'll be sharing with you true New Orleans folktales and ghost stories popular among our city's ghost tour guides. The Andrew Jackson Hotel is regarded as the most haunted hotel in town, and is especially creepy because it's supposedly haunted by the spirits of orphan children.

A New Orleans trip isn't complete without a ghost tour. This one was more about comical entertainment rather than pure scariness, but it was still a lot of fun. Plus, we got to grab some drinks at Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar, which is the oldest structure used as a bar in the United States.
