Vinoy Renaissance Hotel - Review - St. Petersburg, FL
The Vinoy Renaissance Hotel overlooks both Tampa Bay and a scenic marina. The Vinoy, a historic boutique hotel, is located at 501 5th Avenue NE in St. Petersburg, Florida. The staff are well-trained, attentive, and friendly. The Vinoy was lovingly restored to the high standards of when it was originally built in 1925. Close to the Salvador Dali Museum, Central Shopping District and a charming park, the Vinoy has a lot to offer. The golf course, however, is off-site. The Vinoy attracts both business conference travelers and tourists. Try Marchand's Bar and Grill, with a stunning interior, and a dreamy Gatsbyesque veranda bar for liquid refreshments. The hotel grounds and landscaping are top-notch. The Vinoy Renaissance Hotel is about 20 minutes from St. Petersburg Beach and about 40 minutes from the beaches of Anna Maria Island. The Vinoy originally known as Vinoy Park Hotel was built in 1925 named after Aymer Vinoy Laughner, a wealthy Pennsylvania Businessman. It was built in just 10 months and opened on New Years Eve 1925. After sitting unoccupied for 18 years, it was rebirthed in May of 1990. In 2008 it received a 3.5 million renovation.
Today The Vinoy Renaissance is a pouplar vacation destination and event venue, as well as being the chose hotel for most of the professional baseball teams who play the Tampa Bay Rays at nearby Tropicana Field.
The Tea Garden very popular for weddings is not only a beautiful outdoor area, but also has a beautiful permanent tent Pavilion for a comfortable reception.

A new pizzeria in tampa called Wiseguys New York Pies is rumoured to have frequent visitors from the other side . William bar owner and operator of Wiseguys New York pies says that for two months while remodeling he has had so many encounters and odd things happen that he had no doubt there was something there and recently after closing and on his way out he would hear things often sound in like they was hitting the door he would look inside again and nothing's there nothing is on the ground no signs of anything being thrown or moved or out of place until he caught this on tape so he starts his video before he's exiting the building thinking one of these times he would catch it and he did... what it is I have no clue but I know it can't be anything of this world to do something like that...weird:/

Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club in St. Petersburg, Florida Review
The Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club is located in St. Petersburg, Florida.While staying there I had a standard room with a King sized bed in the Guest Tower. My room has two balconies and overlooked the harbour and downtown area. The hotel was opened in 1925 and has a lot of old charm mixed with modern touches. There are various locations on the property to eat with my favourite being the verandah bar off of the lobby along with the lounge chair waiter service poolside. They have a small spa which is rumoured to be getting a large expansion in the next few years. If you are visiting South West Florida you should definitely check out the Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. marriott.com/tpasr

Sunshine Skyway Bridge debuts colorful new LED lights
The promise of a colorfully-lit Sunshine Skyway Bridge became a reality this week, much to the delight of photographers, boaters, and drivers around the Bay Area.
The Florida Department of Transportation installed color-change LED lights on 1.7 miles of Tampa Bay's iconic bridge.
A total of 1,824 high-efficiency fixtures now illuminate the main span of the bridge, as well as the columns underneath, fading down to the waterline.
