Iceland Glacier Adventure Tour: Take a Walk on the Ice Side
The most popular tour in the book! On this Iceland day tour you will be guided through the labyrinth of a glacier tongue extending down from the fourth biggest glacier in Iceland.
Only two hours from Reykjavík you find the Eyjafjallajökull massif, and just a little further east the Sólheimajökull glacier, a tongue extends down from its mother glacier, Mýrdalsjökull, Iceland's fourth largest.
On this tour you will go on a safe and easy walk on crampons up onto the ice field where you will discover a wonderland of ice sculptures, ridges and deep crevasses, and learn about the glacier and the effect of the Eyjafjallajökull eruption in 2010 on the glacier and its surroundings.

You’ll speed across snow and ice on your way to visit the man-made ice caves. There, climb below the surface and learn about the formation of the glacier from your guide. To finish off the day, you can choose to soak in a thermal swimming pool, or check out the beauty of the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls. Either way, this is an incredible way to spend a day away from Reykjavik.

BEST DAY EVER! ICELAND GLACIER LAGOON - Zodiac Tour Vlog
This may be my best vlog yet - This was the coolest experience ever!! We drove 3 hours from Skogafoss to Glacier Lagoon on a two lane highway through lava fields passing volcanos, black beaches, old river beds, ocean, glaciers, moss, waterfalls (and basically everything else you can imagine that would be beautiful and dope). We decided to book a zodiac tour, I def reccomend booking a tour in advance as it is a far drive and there isn't much else in the area tour wise - so if it's sold out - you might miss your shot! We booked the day before and were able to get on a tour. It was out of this world cool riding in a boat among the icebergs, we saw seals, we drove over some ice - picked some up - got to watch the wall break into the ocean creating a huge wave (which we surfed) and witnessed a glacier flipping!! It was so cool and other worldly, and I'm so glad we got to experience it!! We then drove back and stopped near Vik and Reynisfjara, the black sand beach with the cool rock formations. By the time we got there it was pretty rainy and dark, so we didn't get to stay long - but it was gorgeous!! We took some photos and went home to rest : )
Interested in taking a zodiac tour? -

Tour Iceland in 5 Days with Arctic Adventures
It doesn’t matter if you visit for a day or a year; travelling Iceland is always going to be a rewarding, exciting, life-changing experience. If you don’t have a full week on your hands, fear not! You can still experience this incredible country for yourself without missing any of the powerful waterfalls, stunning glaciers, and jaw-dropping views that make the Land of Ice and Fire famous world-wide.
If you’re looking to fit in a lot of Iceland in a shorter amount of time, travelling along the South coast is a great option. This will allow you to see Iceland’s iconic hotspots without having to travel for very long! Beginning in Reykjavik, this five-day tour with Arctic Adventures does just that, and we think you’ll agree that it more than delivers on everything you think when you think about Iceland!
Here’s the best part about Iceland: those pictures you’ve seen on Instagram, the videos you’ve watched on our channel, the ideas you have in your head about what kind of adventures you could have there? They’re all exactly what you’ll get when you visit! Begin your adventure by walking along craggy cliffs, explore 8000-year old lava caves, and climb mountains while hoping for a glimpse at the Northern Lights.
It wouldn’t be a visit to Iceland without a few hot springs, right? Thankfully, on this itinerary, you’ll find more than a few. Deildartunguhver Hot Spring, the most powerful in Europe, provides the heating for every nearby village, and standing by it is the perfect way to warm up on a chilly Icelandic day. Can’t get enough of Iceland’s natural power? Wait until you see their geysirs.
Who says Iceland isn’t a beach destination? While you likely won’t be relaxing in a bathing suit, Iceland’s beaches are unique and eye catching. Enjoy a stroll along a pebble beach, or, for a truly Icelandic experience, check out one of the country’s world-famous black sand beaches!
No matter where you go in Iceland, it takes no time at all to fall in love with the country. From the friendly locals to the heart-pounding activities to bucket-list-worthy views like the Northern Lights and ancient glaciers, there isn’t a single part of this beautiful country that won’t amaze you. If you can’t wait a second longer to plan a trip to Iceland, check out this Itinerary and others like it over at TourRadar!

EPIC Glacier hike - ICELAND | World Travel Vlog
My friend Tine and I are exploring Iceland. We started out with a 3 hour Glacier hike on blue ice.. needless to say, it was amazing:)
This glacier is the Sólheimajökull glacier, it's located about 1,5 hour south of Reykjavik. Sólheimajökull is one small part of a huge mother glacier with many tounges.
Our trip was booked though Reykjavik Excursions our guide was from and the trip costs the same on their site.

Along the way we will find an ice wall on the glacier and try our hand at ice climbing. We will provide you with all the tools you need: ice axes, crampons and safety lines, making sure you are very safe as you brave the heights. HOW to visit ICE CAVES in ICELAND, 2019 | 4K
In this episode I'll share all the information I have on Ice Caves in Iceland. How to get to the ice caves and how to photograph the ice caves. Ice cave season is from November until and through March. Out of season the caves are too dangerous to enter. Ice caves and glaciers are extremely dangerous and that's why you have to get yourself a glacier guide.
