Glenwood Caynon Resort : Glenwood Springs, CO Campground
Glenwood Springs is hailed as one of the most walkable towns in America so it only made sense the team decided to set out on foot from Glenwood Canyon Resort to explore the city. Lucky enough to nab a campsite right on the Colorado River, this is a terrific campground we can recommend highly. The showers were clean, the campground was spacious, and the staff was helpful and welcoming.
From Glenwood Canyon Resort they were able to hop right on the Glenwood Canyon Recreation Trail. It's only a two-mile walk into town, but the entire trail is 16 miles long. You could walk all the way to Hanging Lake if you have the time and inclination.

Glenwood Adventure Park - Zip Line
Glenwood Adventure Park, Glenwood Springs, CO. Zip Line. good view of the Glenwood West. Was maybe only like 50 feet off the ground to start then probably between 20-30 the rest of the way.
Glenwood Hot Springs and Glenwood Canyon Resort
A beautiful spot right on the Colorado river was the perfect place to camp for our 3 night test run in our new Coachman Viking 17bh. The Glenwood Canyon Resort was clean, quiet and fun for our kids to explore. The zipline and rafting on the property would be great in the summer!
During our time in the area we spent an afternoon at the Glenwood Hot Springs with Peter's parents. We had fun exploring both pools and brought a picnic lunch. The water was just the right temperature and the complex had something for everyone to enjoy.

Giant Canyon Swing at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, Glenwood Springs, Co.
Colorado 2014 (Adventure Park, Glenwood Springs) Giant Canyon Swing. This is a two sided swing that seats 4 people. It's a blast! On one side you look down the face of the canyon and on the other you feel like you are being launched into the canyon! Used a GoPro camera and regular canon camera for the video.

Iron Mountain Tram Ride, Glenwood Adventure Park- Glenwood Colorado.
a gondola ride up iron mountain to an amusement park in Glenwood Colorado
Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park | Denver
Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is located on top of Iron Mountain, overlooking Glenwood Springs. After a scenic ride on the Iron Mountain tramway, visitors enjoy visiting Glenwood Caverns and the historic Fairy Caves. Along with these walking tours, the park offers thrill rides. The longest alpine coaster in the state (which is also the nation's first) winds around the mountain. The Giant Canyon Swing, which is the park's most famous ride, is perched on the edge of the Glenwood Canyon, and swings passengers out 1,300 feet above the Colorado River. Also on the canyon edge, there's the Cliffhanger, which is the highest elevation roller coaster in America. The Glenwood Canyon Flyer, the Soaring Eagle zip line ride, and the mine wheel also offer spectacular views of the valley.

Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park
The new Historic Fairy Caves Tour is a 40 minute guided walking tour and is appropriate for most fitness levels. This tour leads you on a quarter-mile-long underground stroll through hidden regions, some of which were only recently excavated.
Discovered in the 1950's, these areas were not previously accessible except to a few hardy cavers willing to crawl and wiggle through them.
Two years in the making, close to 1000 tons of rocky debris were removed by hand with buckets and wheelbarrows to create this amazing cave tour. You'll see highly-decorated rooms and even a section of underground canyon with fifty foot ceilings.
In 1897 the Fairy Caves were one of the first caves in the U.S. to have electric lighting installed. Today's cave tour includes a historic lighting section called History Lane, which is illuminated with replica Edison and Marconi-style light bulbs. You will experience a portion of the Fairy Caves as a visitor would have viewed them over 100 years ago.
Highlights of the tour include: •The Cloud Room with a subaqueous calcite ceiling
•The Head Office, where deeply penetrating tree roots are visible
•The Eternal Towers underground canyon
•A trip through the Darrow Tunnel, which took three years to build, starting in 1897
•Briefly exit the tunnel to visit Exclamation Point, with panoramic views of Glenwood Springs, Glenwood Canyon and the Colorado River
•The Pendant Room with its bulbous formations, carved by air and water
•History Lane historical lighting section, with lighting design based upon Glenwood Springs Historical Society archival photographs
•A candle-lit side trip into the Back Passage Room
•The magnificent Register Room with it's brilliantly-rich saturated colors created by interaction with hot springs waters
•The Reflection Room with formation-reflecting pools reflecting stalactites, stalagmites and soda straw formations
•Views of Jam Crack Passage with rich colors, popcorn-covered stalactites, and beautiful flowstone
