The Jordaar Biker | Rajputana Customs | 101 Magnificent Motorcycle Men | Unique Stories From India
Vijay Singh from Rajputana Customs talks about his love and passion for biking that culminated in one hell of a bike.
How do you capture the essence of a person and a city into a machine? Custom bike builder and owner of Rajputana Customs, Vijay Singh shows what it takes. He walks us through his journey to becoming a biker, a bike builder, and everything that led up to creating the Jordaar HD883, a beast of a machine.
Bikes. They come in all shapes and sizes. Choppers, bobbers, cafe racers, you name it. Even more interesting are the men and women who build their lives around building, tweaking and riding them. 101 Magnificent Motorcycle Men celebrates the biker - that lone soul who'd rather be in the middle of nowhere on two wheels, than anywhere else.

Walking in New Delhi (India)
New Delhi is the capital of India and one of Delhi city's 11 districts. Although colloquially Delhi and New Delhi are used interchangeably to refer to the National Capital Territory of Delhi, these are two distinct entities, with New Delhi forming a small part of Delhi. The National Capital Region is a much larger entity comprising the entire National Capital Territory of Delhi along with adjoining districts. It is surrounded by Haryana on three sides and Uttar Pradesh on the east.
I Went Drinking in Mumbai's Worst Slum
■ MUMBAI, INDIA: Dharavi, India's biggest slum, isn't exactly known for being a place where you can mingle with the locals over a couple of cold ones. But I'm not one to shy away from a challenge. I therefore took it upon myself to find a watering hole in Mumbai's roughest neighborhood so I could meet some local residents and hear their stories. Did I succeed or was this one Indian adventure even beyond the scope of this intrepid Northman? Find out in this episode where I go exploring and meeting the people of Dharavi.
■ I tried checking in to India's most famous hotel in my underwear:
Allahabad Food Tour - Makhan ke ANDE - SAKODA (Spicy Pakoda) - Gulab Jamun (Allahabadi RASGULLA) 2/2
The sheer amount of food to try in Allahabad is insane. Trust us, if you start exploring the streets for food you will not be disappointed.
First Stop- Indian Coffee House
We started our day with the basics- coffee and keema omelette. Wait! Ok not so basic. The keema omelette serves as the perfect start to your day. It is not too spicy and not heavy either, but it will keep you stomach happy and satisfied.
Second Stop- Sheebu Omelette Shop
If you’re looking for that perfect breakfast and chai combination, this is the place to be. This 35 year old shop is known for serving some of the most buttery Bun- Omelette in the area. The omelette is very simple, it consists of onions, green chillies and coriander and cooked in a whole lot of butter. You can either go for the bun-omelette or a simple bun-butter, and boy do they use butter liberally! Enjoy all of this with a side of steaming hot chai.
Third Stop- VIP Rasgulla
For all those people who are going to get confused when they see Gulab Jamuns instead of Rasgullas, hold your horses people! In Allahabad, the humble gulab jamuns are known as rasgulla. VIP Rasgulla is known for some of the tastiest gulab jamun. These gulab jamuns have dried fruits and cardamom in the filling as well. Truly delicious!
Fourth Stop- Dehati Rasgulla Shop
Another famous rasgulla/gulab jamun shop. These gulab jamuns are slightly darker in colour since the khoya is cooked for a longer time is caramelized. These gulab jamuns are fried twice to get the deep dark colour that gives it a unique taste.
Fifth Stop- Sophiya Lawrence Betel Shop
The paan here is unlike any we have had. The stickiness that the normal meetha paan has because of the gulkand cannot be tasted in this paan. It is as smooth as butter.
Sixth Stop- Pandit Ji ki Chaat
When it comes to chaat we really let loose. We tried a number of different dishes here. The gol gappas served here are not your run of the mill ones. They serve you gol gappa/pulki with a variety of fillings- with chickpeas and tamarind chutney, super hot and spicy sakoda curry or with dahi and tamarind chutney. They also give the Allahabadi classic Sakoda in a kulhad. Sakoda is a fritter made with pulses and spinach and served in a curry that is super hot. The Hara Aloo or basically aloo chaat is quite unique, with flavors of coriander and green chillies. Then to cool oneself down, go for the dahi badas.
Seventh Stop- Nirala Mishtan Bhandar
Here we tried the aloo ki tikiya that is nicely fried in desi ghee. It is topped with tamarind chutney, yoghurt, aloo lachha. This dish is super crispy and super tasty. Here also get the Kaali Gajar ke Halwa and some of the best laddus we have tried in a long time.
Eighth Stop- Hari Ram & Sons
This shop has been since 1890 serving dried samosas to worldwide and a lot more. The samosa is stuffed with potatoes and fried in desi ghee. These samosas are supposed to have a shelf life of a month.
Ninth Stop- Raja Ram Lassi
Right across Hari Ram & Sons is this lassi shop. Their lassi comes in the good old kulhad. It is thick and creamy and is flavoured with some saffron, and topped off with a layer of cream and rabri.
Tenth Stop- Shri Radhey Ras Kunj Sweet House
Another unique discovery was Makhan ke Andey at this place. The butter is shaped like an egg and has a filling of khoya mixed with saffron which ends up looking like a yolk.
Eleventh Stop- Ahmad Kabab Centre
This place is a Kabab lover’s delight! We tried the roasted chicken, haryali chicken, roasted chicken wings, and nizami chicken tikka. Everything is beautifully marinated here that the spices have literally seeped into every part of the chicken pieces.
Twelfth Stop- Bukhara Mughlai Khana
Our final stop was all about home cooked food. This place is known for meals that are cooked at home and sold to people to spread the joy. Here we had some shammi kababs, boti kabab and mutton in khara masala along with some ulte tawe ka paratha and roomali roti. Each and every dish was not too spicy or oily and it tastes just like home.

Our First India Trip: 3 months of life-changing moments
It took us years to finally travel to India. finally we got a chance to go on our first India Trip. The truth is we needed the patience to handle its intensity. We wanted to be open, with a willingness to accept everything it had to offer.
India gave us more than we imagined. I feel culturally enriched after our time there. It's our experiences were so different than our lives, our visit was better than we anticipated! India was a life-changing experience for us, and those images of India are fondly remembered in our minds. It was the amazing people, the indian music and indian culture, and of course the Indian food.
Images of India - Our Itinery In India for the 3 month trip.
We started our travels in South India. Our first impressions may be different than you expect!
Mumbai – With only 15million people it is bound to challenge your personal space! We quite enjoyed the beach areas, walking tours and endless city markets.
Palolem Beach, Goa – Based in Southern Goa, the area that is more quiet, less about partying and more suited to all ages for beach time and relaxation.
Hampi, Karnataka – Ancient ruins, laid back lodging, and hippie vibe. One of our favorite spots and a perfect place to stay for a while.
The State of Kerala: Probably our favorite region of India, gorgeous natural beauty including visits to:
- Kochi: The interesting old fort town, where we enjoyed many walks through the alleyways admiring the British/Dutch architecture homes, converted into homestays.
- Alleppey: One of the main waterways to jump on a boat and tour the infamous Backwaters boat trip.
- Kollam and Munroe Island: A different entrance to the backwaters, quieter than the extensive waterways of Alleppey, with canoe trips allow the island canals.
- Varkala – A quaint cliff top beach destination. Gorgeous views looking over the Arabian sea, great food, yoga, and guesthouses.
-Dharamsala Up in the Highlands of Northern India is Dharmsala- We lived there for 3 weeks and experteered on a social enterprise project at Peepal Farm animal recovery center.
Mcleod Ganj – Home of the Dalai Lama, up in the Highlands, in a town with a feel of Katmandu, Nepal. Buddhist worship, Tibetan culture, and hiking and views of the Himalayas.
Delhi – The large capital city of India – Many treasures to find like Temples, Spice Markets, Shopping and the Arts.
Jaisalmer – The oldest living Fort – A golden, sandstone city – of Jain temples, wandering around the fort for shopping for Tapestries and embroidery, architecture tours and great food
Thar Desert- Head out for a night away from Jaisalmer – on a camel trek and nighttime safari in the sand dunes sleeping under the stars.
Jodhpur - Northwest city of Rajasthan the backdrop is the towering 15th-century Mehrangarh Fort – once a royal palace and now a museum. The city is dotted with blue houses and colorful markets.
Udaipur- The western city in Rajasthan, overlooking Lake Pichola. Beautiful waterways – and the most present, the City Palace. A city of royal history, sunset views over the lake, great shopping and food.
Pushkar – The holy city home of the Brahma temple, and Savitri temple – perfect for a morning hike to the top. A bustling city of holy men and locals worshiping at the sacred waters, and the rest of the town abundant with markets, restaurants, and hawkers selling anything you can imagine.
Jaipur- The capital of Rajasthan is the home of the immense, Amber Fort – Our favorite fort we visited in India. It’s an in your face kind of city with sights, sounds, and smells, but teeming with royal architecture.
Agra – Home of the Taj Mahal – Our stop here was brief, and the goal was to see the mighty tomb of the Taj Mahal and the Red Fort. The Taj took our breath away the first moment we saw it.
Varanasi is probably our most memorable and unforgettable visit in all of India. A city where life and death happen all at the same place. Along the banks of the holy Ganges where life and Hindu traditions live together. There are markets, children playing, bathing on the banks, and the cremation of corpses before their ashes are scooped into the waters.
With the images of India, firmly remembered in our minds, our three months in India were ending. The night of January 1st we were in Varanasi on the Ganges, one of the holiest city in India. We each placed a small candle onto the river, sending off wishes for 2017 and witnessed the beautiful Aarti ceremony. That whole experience was probably the highlight our time in India. We didn’t just see India; we also learned about it, we felt it.

This walk through Old delhi truly was an AMAZING STREET FOOD ADVENTURE with delicious curry, amazing restaurants, and with so much tasty and UNIQUE Indian food recipes for our huge Indian dinner.

In one day in old Delhi, India, we had 7 delicious street foods all made in the halal style.
We started out the day with an AMAZING ramadan experience at the largest Mosque in Delhi, Jama Masjid. We picked up a ton of different Indian street foods to bring to the mosque and break the fast with all the locals. We shared the delicious food, and then went back to the streets of Old Delhi to try more food.
The first food we had on our street food tour was the Delhi Fried Chicken, DFC, covered in Indian spices like masala and mustard. It was extremely JUICY and PLUMP!!!
Afterwards, we tried more BBQ chicken and then went for a nice Indian dinner cooked by one of the locals in Old Delhi. His family recipes were passed down to him and his food was legendary! We ate Indian Chicken Biryani and chicken korma curry along with Buffalo Korma along with Kameeri Roti! It was absolutely delicious!
After this, we went to the LEGENDARY Changezi chicken joint that invented the recipe for this juicy and flavour packed chicken curry dish!
To finish of the day, we went for some delicious BBQ Seekh Kebabs, extremely flavourful!!
The addresses for these street food restaurants in Old Delhi, India, are found on the main street below Jama Masjid, Old Delhi, India.

India Travel Guide: The Golden Triangle
India is an irresistible country for travellers from all walks of life. From the incredible food to the ancient ruins to the unique and vibrant culture, India is an unforgettable destination for every kind of traveller. Whether you’re looking for a fast-paced adventure or a laid-back vacation, you’ll find it in India’s Golden Triangle.
The Golden Triangle connects Delhi, the country’s capital; Agra, the regal home of the Taj Mahal; and Jaipur, also known as The Pink City. While the route itself isn’t very long, the sights visitors see will be treasured for a lifetime! After all, they don’t call it Golden for nothing!
Beginning in Delhi, visitors will gape at Mughal-era architecture and history, from ancient forts to incredible monuments to high-tech skyscrapers and shopping centres. Take a ride on a rickshaw, feast on incredible food, and sip chai on a rooftop lounge. The possibilities are as endless as Delhi’s history!
Next, venture to Agra, the storied city home to India’s powerful nobility. One of the most famous buildings in the world, the Taj Mahal, can be found here, welcoming millions of visitors a year. Depending on the time of day you visit, you may discover it tinged pink with the rising sun, or beautiful gold under the moon. You can also stop at other incredible sites leftover from the Mughal empire, such as the Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri.
Finally, end your trip to the Golden Triangle with a visit to Jaipur, or “The Pink City.” Here, you’ll find incredible buildings built with pink sandstone, giving the city an ethereal quality you won’t soon forget. Take a stroll through one of the many traditional shops, and find the perfect antique or handmade souvenir to bring home with you.
A visit to India is always something special, but following the Golden Triangle route means you’ll truly be able to see this amazing country. Whether you’re planning your trip right now, or still in the daydreaming phase, why not head to TourRadar and check out a few Golden Triangle tours for yourself?

INDIA'S BIGGEST SLUM- Dharavi Slum Tour Thoughts & Mumbai City Tour! | Mumbai Vlog
I went out on a half day trip around the City of Mumbai with Arpan from Bombay Walks in a local way. We started the day by going to Dhobi Ghat which is where they do all of the laundry! This is a must visit place in Mumbai!
Afterwards we went to Dadar Flower Market and then got a bus to Worli fishing Village and to see Worli Fort. This is something I couldn't have done by myself and I was glad I did a City Tour with a local to help me see this side of Mumbai!
Two days later I went on a Slum Tour to India's biggest Slum - Dharavi Slum, also where Slumdog Millionaire was filmed. I couldn't film whilst I was inside but I could film at the start. Overall my thoughts on the Slum Tour were positive. Dharavi Slum is a unique and productive slum where people work and it feels more like a village. It is not a case of doing a slum tour and staring at peoples poverty. I did the Slum Tour with Reality Tours and I would really recommend going with them as they give back to the community of the slum.
