Snorkeling at Cape Porpoise Maine
Hiking around in Cape Porpoises Maine. On a very sunny day without any sunscreen. Traveling to island to island during low tide. Trying to get close to goat island lighthouse. There’s this cool Cove where you can go snorkeling. Lots of colors sea life. Mostly red seaweed and a couple of crabs, some gross sand worm, more seaweed, a couple of snails, sponges and seashells.
This is all part on the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust. I think they own the islands. And take care of them. Goat Island Light is a lighthouse located off Cape Porpoise near Kennebunkport in southern Maine. It’s only (walking) accessible for 1-3 hours during low tide. Better hurry back before I get stranded here.

September 7, 2014 Kayak Paddle Cape Porpoise
Launched kayak from causeway in Cape Porpoise and paddled through Cape Porpoise Harbor, into Turbitt's Creek, out into the ocean, back into the Harbor, and then landed on Goat Island Lighthouse to tour the lighthouse. Then, back to the launch site for takeout. A beautiful day and a beautiful trip. Was also my maiden voyage with my new Greenland Paddle.

Cape Elizabeth Maine Light House Hurricane Sandy 2012
I took this video when Hurricane Sandy hit Cape Elizabeth Maine. Some of the waves hitting the rocks were 8 to 10 feet high! It was incredible.

Kennebunkport in the Snow
Marshall Point Lighthouse. Port Clyde, Maine
Marshall Point Light Station was established in 1832 to assist boats entering and leaving Port Clyde Harbor. The original lighthouse was a 20-foot (6.1 m) tower lit by seven lard oil lamps with 14-inch reflectors.[1]
The original tower was replaced with the present lighthouse in 1857. The lighthouse is a 31-foot (9.4 m) tall white brick tower on a granite foundation. The tower was originally lit with a 5th order Fresnel lens. A raised wooden walkway connects the tower to land.[1]
In 1895, the original keeper's house was destroyed by lightning. A Colonial Revival style house was built to replace it. An oil house and a bell tower with a 1,000-pound (450 kg) bell were added in 1898. The bell was replaced with a fog horn in 1969.[1]
Early photo
The lighthouse was automated in 1980 and the original Fresnel lens was replaced with a modern 12 inches (300 mm) optic.[4] The original lens is at the Maine Lighthouse Museum in Rockland. In 1986, the St. George Historical Society restored the keeper's house and established the Marshall Point Lighthouse Museum there, presenting the histories of Marshall Point Light and other nearby lighthouses.[4] The light station was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.[3]
The lighthouse appeared in the 1994 film Forrest Gump.[5]
The light station was transferred to the town of St. George in 1998 under the Maine Lights Program. The fog signal has been dismantled but the bell remains on display.

Kennebunkport is a coastal town in southern Maine. It’s known for its beaches, including long, sandy Goose Rocks Beach and smaller Arundel Beach. The Seashore Trolley Museum displays a huge collection of streetcars. Dating to 1887, St. Ann’s Episcopal Church is a rustic stone church on grassy grounds with ocean views. The 1833 Goat Island Lighthouse sits in the harbor of quaint lobster-fishing village Cape Porpoise.
