Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:

SUMMARY
=======
Delaware ( (listen)) is one of the 50 states of the United States, in the Mid-Atlantic or Northeastern region. It is bordered to the south and west by Maryland, to the north by Pennsylvania, and to the east by New Jersey and the Atlantic Ocean. The state takes its name from Thomas West, 3rd Baron De La Warr, an English nobleman and Virginia's first colonial governor.Delaware occupies the northeastern portion of the Delmarva Peninsula. It is the second smallest and sixth least populous state, but the sixth most densely populated. Delaware's largest city is Wilmington. The state is divided into three counties, the lowest number of any state. From north to south, they are New Castle County, Kent County, and Sussex County. While the southern two counties have historically been predominantly agricultural, New Castle County is more industrialized.
Before its coastline was explored by Europeans in the 16th century, Delaware was inhabited by several groups of Native Americans, including the Lenape in the north and Nanticoke in the south. It was initially colonized by Dutch traders at Zwaanendael, near the present town of Lewes, in 1631. Delaware was one of the 13 colonies participating in the American Revolution. On December 7, 1787, Delaware became the first state to ratify the Constitution of the United States, and has since been known as The First State.

Fantastic location on a private cul-de-sac. Twenty minutes to Erlanger Hospital; 15 minutes to Gunbarrel Road, shopping and restaurants; five minutes to Harrison Bay State Park and 10 minutes to Bear Trace Golf Course, designed by Jack Nicholas himself! This home is private and rural, yet close to every need you have. Gas and grocery store are five to 10 minutes away. Non-ethanol 100% gas for boats and water toys is available at the park store. You will enjoy every season with awesome views of the water and surrounding scenery throughout the house. Entertain on a level lot all the way to your own floating dock on the water. T.V.A. allows a larger and longer dock than exists now. Deep water all year long will accommodate a large boat and all your water toys. The yard is large enough to have fun in but not too big to maintain. The pool and surrounding deck is awesome. Inside you will find plenty of room for all your needs. Cooks will love the open kitchen with views of the pool and lake, a built-in convection oven, island down draft cook surface, in-counter grill and more. The floor tile in the kitchen and 4-1/2 bathrooms is beautiful. Hardwood floors create charm and elegance matching the stairs and handrails. This house is in great shape and is low maintenance. Retire each night to the master bedroom suite on the second floor. It provides fantastic views of stunning sunsets, moonlit nights, and the lake below. Enjoy a true steam shower, then morning coffee on the deck through a sliding door off of the master bedroom. The private 850-square-foot office with half-bath, just off of the drive-through garage, is brand new. This could be a guest room or bonus room to meet your needs. Lots to offer here--call me to come see it today! $875,000
The surprising pattern behind color names around the world
Why so many languages invented words for colors in the same order.

In 1969, two Berkeley researchers, Paul Kay and Brent Berlin, published a book on a pretty groundbreaking idea: that every culture in history, when they developed their languages, invented words for colors in the exact same order. They claimed to know this based off of a simple color identification test, where 20 respondents identified 330 colored chips by name. If a language had six words, they were always black, white, red, green, yellow, and blue. If it had four terms, they were always black, white, red, and then either green or yellow. If it had only three, they were always black, white, and red , and so on. The theory was revolutionary — and it shaped our understanding of how color terminologies emerge.

SUMMARY

Newcastle upon Tyne (locally (listen)), commonly known as Newcastle, is a city in Tyne and Wear, North East England, 103 miles (166 km) south of Edinburgh and 277 miles (446 km) north of London on the northern bank of the River Tyne, 8.5 mi (13.7 km) from the North Sea. Newcastle is the most populous city in the North East, and forms the core of the Tyneside conurbation, the eighth most populous urban area in the United Kingdom. Newcastle is a member of the English Core Cities Group and is a member of the Eurocities network of European cities.Newcastle was part of the county of Northumberland until 1400, when it became a county of itself, a status it retained until becoming part of Tyne and Wear in 1974. The regional nickname and dialect for people from Newcastle and the surrounding area is Geordie. Newcastle also houses Newcastle University, a member of the Russell Group, as well as Northumbria University.
The city developed around the Roman settlement Pons Aelius and was named after the castle built in 1080 by Robert Curthose, William the Conqueror's eldest son. The city grew as an important centre for the wool trade in the 14th century, and later became a major coal mining area. The port developed in the 16th century and, along with the shipyards lower down the River Tyne, was amongst the world's largest shipbuilding and ship-repairing centres.
Newcastle's economy includes corporate headquarters, learning, digital technology, retail, tourism and cultural centres, from which the city contributes £13 billion towards the United Kingdom's GVA. Among its icons are Newcastle United football club and the Tyne Bridge. Since 1981 the city has hosted the Great North Run, a half marathon which attracts over 57,000 runners each year.
