Gopeng Heritage House And Guanyin Cave Temple, Perak Malaysia
Heritage House contains displays items from Gopeng and contains an eclectic selection of curios and collectables dating from 100 years ago up until the 1960s. The exhibits are arranged over two floors.
The Perak Cave Temple temple, located at the foothills of Gunung Tasek in Ipoh, Perak, was constructed in 1926. It was built into a limestone hill, so it is quite a unique Buddhist temple to visit

复古，并且怀，惜古，那是值得鼓掌的事；将历史搬上舞台供人免费参观，欣赏。每逢星期六，星期日，早上九点至下午三点的开放时间，好些当地人便会来到怀古楼前担任导览义工，把访客带回1886年开埠以来务边的旧时光里缅怀过往。
走在古色古香的怀古楼，观探当年富贵人家的生活面貌，瞧见橡胶和锡矿在当年务边生活里扮演的重要角色；在数百件文物中闻到阵阵陈香；听到安娣级导览员的热情解说；体会到集体记忆的珍贵。

Gopeng, Perak
Where is it?
Gopeng is a town located in Mukim Teja, Kampar District, Perak, Malaysia. It is located 20 km south east of Ipoh, the state capital. Situated on the west side of the North-South Expressway stretch of Tapah-Simpang Pulai. It comprised of many limestone hills and the Titiwangsa Mountains are clearly visible from the landscape in far.
Similar to Ipoh, the town was bustling with tin miners and it is one of the great tin mining industry of Malaysia until the collapse of the tin empire in 1980s. The name for Gopeng came from a Chinese called Mo Peng (毛兵). However, the British later changed its name to Go Peng. In the olden days, many British and local tin mining companies are established and developed their tin mine industry in Gopeng.
Gopeng is a small town that flourished with heritage, cuisine and eco-tourism attractions developed by the local resident. It is famous for limestone caves such as Gua Tempurung, located approximately 5 km from the town centre.

It captures and locked the memories of dazzling lives of the people of Gopeng some 125 years ago through the numerous antiquities, antiques, old furniture and calligraphy paintings on display.
Wang Kun-xiang, the financial controller of the Heritage House, has collected various antique and desired to establish a nostalgic house for the modern residents. It envisions the bustling life, culture and customs of people living in the town more than a century ago.
On the ground floor, there is a barber shop, kopitiam and a feng shui air well filled with bonsai trees and relics from the near past.
At the upper floors, many cubicles of living rooms being decorated and filled with priceless decorations and furnishings injected the livelihoods of a middle-class family life at the turn of the 20th century in Gopeng and the surrounded locations.

爬往二樓的階梯，有沒有注意到牆上掛著黑膠唱片呢？1970年代，李逸、黃曉君，在馬來西亞紅透半邊天，當時錄製的黑膠唱片成為現在收藏家最珍貴的回憶。
再往上走，走進弦歌廳，這裡營造出1890到1900年代夜總會的氛圍，當時是屬於年輕人和富有人家夜生活放鬆的地方，會有歌星跑馬頭到各地夜總會宣傳黑膠唱片，夜總會裡頭燈光暗，會放置彩色霓虹燈和舞池，後來因為教育程度提升，才漸漸沒落。
牆上掛著二胡，櫥窗裡有Saxophone、trumpet，還有古老的收音機，隨意坐下，哼著黃曉君的唱首情歌給誰聽，讓我們憶起沉浸在古老的時光裡吧！。
Step up to the second floor, you'll notice the Standard-playing Records on the wall. Around 1970s, the singers, Li Yi and Huang Xiao Jin, engulfed the whole Malaysia. Nowadays, the Standard-playing Record(SP) recorded at that time have become the most precious antiques for the collectors
Step up five more stairs; you'll be inside the musical room. The room was decorated to set up the atmosphere in nightclubs. From 1890s to 1900s, the nightclubs were the places for teenagers and wealthy men to relax, and also for singers to promote their records. Inside the nightclubs, the lights were dusky, full of neon lamps, and also sparckle dance floor. Nevertheless, after 1900s, the nightclubs were gradually declined due to the advance of education.
You may look around. The alto fiddle (In Chinese called erhu) is hung on the wall. Inside the display window are Saxophone and trumpet. The ancient radio is on the cupboard. You can choose a comfortable place to sit down and hum, Sing a song for whom, which was sung by Huang Xiao Jin. Let us recall our memories and immerse in the old story.
