Gostilitsy is a village and the administrative center of Gostilitskoye Rural Settlement in Lomonosovsky District, Leningrad Oblast, Russia, located several kilometers west of the town of Petergof. Gostilitsy is notable by an aristocratic estate, which is a part of World Heritage site Historic Centre of Saint Petersburg and Related Groups of Monuments.

The original house located on Vasilievsky Island in St. Petersburg dates to 1770 and was one of the earliest stone buildings
to be constructed in St Petersburg. The one-storey building and basement survived, with some alterationsn and various owners to the end of the XIX century. In 1898 the house was purchased by M.E. Bonstedt, the Director of the Manufacturing Company Voronin Lyutsh and Cheshire. Bonstedt decided to rebuild the house and employed the architect V. Schaub to design the new house.
Schaub added a second floor to the central part of the house, added a large bay window and completely altered the facade .The roof structure was heightened giving the appearance of an old French Chateau.
The photographs date to 1912.
Following the Revolution of 1917, the Mansion was occupied by the Leonov Club and later by the North-Western Shipping Co. Today the mansion is home to a Children's Hospital.

The manor of Gostilitsy has a long history. Following the Great Northern War between Russia and Sweden, Robert Erskine, the personal physician of Peter I was granted the land until his death in 1718.......
In 1743, Empress Elizabeth bestowed the estate to her favourite, Alexei Razumovsky, who turned the estate into a palace and park ensemble. On his death, Razumovsky passed the estate to his brother, Kirill, who again rebuilt the House and restored the park in the style of the English parks.
From 1824-1872, the estate belonged to AM Potemkin and his wife, Princess Tatiana Golitsino. They rebuilt the palace in a gothic style, expanded the park and created new ponds and fountains...
The final owner of Gostilitsky was Baroness Mary Karlovna Grevenits. It is from this time the interior photgraphs of the palace was taken....
Following the Revolution, the estate was nationalised by the government..

During the Great patriotic War, the estate found itself on the Front Line of the Oranienbaum bridgehead and was badly damaged.....
