Bali Rafting - Ubud Ayung River
This was a completely exhilarating experience!
My family and I traveled to Bali earlier this year and decided to try this daring adventure of white river rafting down the Ayung river. At first, we thought we might get splashed here and there but not become soaking wet. However, soon the weather wanted to prove to the rapids that it ultimately had say whether we remain dry or wet. The rapids did protest quite a bit as well and by the end of the ride we where just absolutely drenched.

Ubud White Water Rafting in Bali
Rafting in Ubud is certainly one of me must do's in Bali. This Indonesian volcanic island has two rivers Ayung and Telaga Waja coming down-stream from Ubud through a valley of dense forest to be fallen into the sea in the end. Compared to Ayung river, Telaga Waja is wilder and current of the stream is higher. Unlike, elsewhere in Asia, rafting in Indonesia is unimaginably cheap. A three hours rafting from Ubud would merely cost 25-30 USD that also includes an insurance and lunch. Rafting can be booked from anywhere in Bali. I booked mine from Sanoor and the rafting company offered a free pick drop from and to my hotel. The experience was refreshing and by far the most enjoyable experience in Ubud in my choice. Highly recommended!
