ARWEN ERGOMETER - ( Specialized for the Heart Muscles ) Stress Test Machine for the Electronic Millenium
Orsett, Essex - circa 1960-something
This is a super-8 film made by my father back in the mid-1960's in the village we lived in at the time: Orsett, in Essex. It includes some shots of me and my brother (5 and 3 respectively), my mother, grandfather and my mother's old nanny. This film may prove of some historical significance to people who know Essex and would be interested in it's history. The main shots are of the High Street, the house we lived in (The Finches), the village church and the pub - The Fox Hound. I visited the place earlier this year and didn't think it had changed all that much, apart from the shops and a few new houses!

Places to see in ( Dartford - UK )
Dartford is the principal town in the Borough of Dartford, Kent, England. It is located 18 miles south-east of Central London, and is situated adjacent to the London Borough of Bexley to its west. To its north, across the Thames estuary, is Thurrock in Essex, which can be reached via the Dartford Crossing and the Dartford Tunnel.
Dartford centre lies in a valley through which the River Darent flows, and where the old road from London to Dover crossed: hence the name, from Darent + ford. Dartford became a market town in medieval times and, although today it is principally a commuter town for Greater London, it has a long history of religious, industrial and cultural importance. It is an important rail hub; the main through-road now by-passes the town itself.
Dartford is twinned with several other towns and cities abroad including Hanau in Germany, Gravelines in France and Namyangju in South Korea.
Dartford has two major buildings concerned with performance art. The Orchard Theatre, located in the town centre, is a fully professional theatre, providing audiences with a large range of drama, dance, music and entertainment. The Mick Jagger Centre, within the grounds of Dartford Grammar School on Shepherds Lane, was completed in 2000 and provides facilities for community arts across a wide region.
Dartford railway station is located in the town centre and is connected to London via three National Rail routes. The first railway London to Dartford connection was the North Kent Line via Woolwich Arsenal in 1849, connecting at Gravesend with the line to the Medway Towns. Later two more lines were built, the Dartford Loop Line through Sidcup, which opened in 1866, and the Bexleyheath Line, which opened in 1895. All the lines were electrified on 6 June 1926.

Dyddiad rhyddhau: Mai 6ed, 2013
Dosbarthu: Arlein ar iTunes, Amazon, emusic ayyb ac o rheidolrecords.co.uk
Label: Rheidol Records (CD001)
Bydd Talmai yn rhyddhau eu EP gyntaf ar Rheidol Records y mis Mai yma. Maent wedi bod yn perfformio ers blwyddyn bellach ac o'r diwedd wedi mentro i stiwdio Radical Academy er mwyn recordio rhai o'u hanthemau roc. Gan gyfuno elfennau roc, prog, metal a dubstep, mae'r band wedi bod yn diddanu cynulleidfaoedd drwy Gymru gyda'u hegni byw a'u gallu cerddorol.
Yn gyntaf daw Dim ond Ni - cri angerddol o'r galon. Cyfuniad o sain gywrain gitarau Dafydd Dabson a llais esgynnol Ceri Ambrose sydd yma yn gwau drwy'i gilydd, llawn riffiau trwm a bachau lleisiol cofiadwy.
Cân serch yw Fy Merch, ond cân serch â thro chwerw iddi. Mae'n cipio ein sylw o'r nodyn cyntaf un, ac mae hyn yn parhau, grŵf ar ôl grŵf. Dawnsio mae llais Josh Holland rhwng ebychiadau milain a chytganau tyner, melodaidd, tra bod Aled Lloyd yn ategu'r effaith â'i ddrwm bâs dychlamol a'i dabyrddau meistrolgar.
Ar Dyddiau Byw mae'r band ar eu gorau yn felodaidd. Stomp o anthem roc yw'r gân hapus, hafaidd hon. Mae canu pwerus Ambrose yn cael ei wthio yn ei flaen gan linellau bâs ysgogol Seun Babatola a synths dirgrynol Ben Dabson i greu trac gyrru perffaith sy'n eich gorfodi i ymuno yn y gân.
Mae'r EP yn cloi gydag ailgymysgedd ingol o Dim ond Ni. Gyda chymysgedd o weadau cynnes y tannau a gitarau distaw mae'r band yn dangos eu gallu i greu teimlad hiraethus lle ceir hefyd ing y fersiwn wreiddiol.

Talmai -- Denu Efo Dagrau EP
Release date: May 6th, 2013
Distribution: Online at iTunes, Amazon, eMusic etc and from rheidolrecords.co.uk
Label: Rheidol Records (CD001)
Talmai release their debut EP 'Denu Efo Dagrau' (Lure with Tears) on Rheidol Records this May. Having been gigging for the last year the band launched into the Radical Academy studio to lay down some of their rock anthems. Combining elements of rock, prog, metal and dubstep the band have been wowing audiences across Wales with their live energy and musicianship.
Tracks: Dim Ond Ni // Fy Merch // Dyddiau Byw // Dim Ond Ni (Acoustic Mix)
Dim ond Ni (Only Us) starts off the collection, a heartfelt cry of passion from the soul. Dafydd Dabson's intricate guitars blend with Ceri Ambrose's soaring vocals in this epic number full of heavy riffs and catchy vocal hooks.
Fy Merch (My Girl) is a bitter twist on a love song -- grabbing your attention from the start, groove after groove keeps you transfixed. Josh Holland's vocals dance between angry exclamations and tender melodic choruses, complemented throughout by the pounding bass drum and virtuosic drum rolls of Aled Lloyd.
Dyddiau Byw (The Living Days) sees the band at their melodic best. This stomping rock anthem is sure to be a feelgood summer hit. Ambrose's powerful vocals are accompanied by the driving basslines of Seun Babatola and throbbing synths of Ben Dabson to create the perfect driving track you can't help but sing along to.
The Dabson brothers' poignant remix of 'Dim ond Ni' brings the EP to a close. With a mix of warm string textures and soft finger picking guitars the band show their ability to capture a yearning, nostalgic mood.
