Why knights? The main reason that played here was the material (available). Once there was a time when a lot of washing machines were being thrown out and electric irons, that is a heating device. So, I was thinking about where I could use them. And it occurred to me that I could do something with a historical theme - antiquity.

YouTube Is Censoring SF’s New 1.5-Hour Long Video “Russian Military Campaign in Syria 2015-2018”
UPDATE: Dear friends,
By 9:20 CET, August 14, 2018 we had received a couple of letters from the YouTube Team. The latest letter was explaining the position of members of the YouTube Team on employment of age-restrictions on videos.
The provided explanation was not related to the content of our video. However, at about 9:30-9:40 CET, the age-restriction was lifted from Russian Military Campaign in Syria 2015-2018.
For our part, we express thanks to competent members of the YouTube Team that have studied the situation and have restored our rights lifting the age-restriction from the video.
SouthFront also wants to give a huge thanks to our audience for the wave of support provided.
Sincerely yours,
SouthFront: Analysis & Intelligence
***
DEAR FRIENDS,
Due to popular demand, SouthFront released a detailed summary of military and political developments in Syria since the start of the Russian military operation to present
This video summary was released on August 11 and had the length of 92 minutes. Previously, SouthFront released a documentary on the Houthis and the war in Yemen, which had the length of 61 minutes.
Despite high complexity of this work, SouthFront continued providing daily coverage of the key military and diplomatic developments from around the world, including our Syria war report videos.
SouthFront did all this work in a complicated environment.
Less than 2 hours after the release of our new video “Russian Military Campaign in Syria 2015-2018“ it was placed behind an age restriction because it allegedly includes “violent or graphic content that appears to be posted in a shocking, sensational, or disrespectful manner”. The age-restriction clearly impacts a possible reach of the video because it does not allow people without YouTube accounts to watch it.
SouthFront immediately appealed this decision and YouTube found that the video includes no graphic content. However, the age-restriction remained because the video may not be appropriate for a general audience.
Summing up: The video does not violate any YouTube Community Guidelines, but despite this, a manual decision was made to age-restrict the video in order to limit its reach to the general audience. This situation can be considered as another example of censorship imposed against alternative media and an independent point of view.
SouthFront has repeatedly faced various sophisticated attacks aimed at censoring the channel on YouTube [systematic ‘false flagging’ and other hostile actions] or damaging its website. The recent developments on YouTube may indicate that a new pre-planned campaign may be launched against the project soon.
Thanks to support from the audience and our partners, South Front has overcome a number of difficulties and is ready to face new ones. However, the situation remains complicated.
In August, SouthFront so far collected about 17% of the minimal budget needed to continue the project. Without the minimal budget, SouthFront will not be able to continue its work at the same level as it did before.

Dinner with Veterans Victory Day Parade Stalingrad Tours Volgograd Victory Day Parade #WWII
Russian Veterans Dinner during Victory Day in Volgograd, Russia - Memories from the second World War (WWII)
Visit Wolgograd formerly known as Stalingrad - We will join the Victory Day Parade in Wolgograd and celebrate 9th of May with the locals. We also going to see the war memorials and war cemetery.
Join us on a wonderful history tour to Russia and Russian culture.
Victory Day is a holiday that commemorates the victory of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War. It was first inaugurated in the 16 republics of the Soviet Union, following the signing of the German Instrument of Surrender late in the evening on 8 May 1945 (after midnight, thus on 9 May Moscow Time). The Soviet government announced the victory early on 9 May after the signing ceremony in Berlin. Though the official inauguration occurred in 1945 the holiday became a non-labour day only in 1965 and only in certain Soviet republics.
In East Germany, 8 May was observed as Liberation Day from 1950 to 1966, and was celebrated again on the 40th anniversary in 1985. In 1975, a Soviet-style Victory Day was celebrated on 9 May. Since 2002, the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has observed a commemoration day known as the Day of Liberation from National Socialism, and the End of the Second World War.
After regaining their independence from the Soviet Union, the Baltic countries now commemorate the end of World War II on 8 May, the Victory in Europe Day.
During the Soviet Union's existence, 9 May was celebrated throughout the USSR and in the countries of the Eastern Bloc. Though the holiday was introduced in many Soviet republics between 1946 and 1950, it only became a non-labour day in the Ukrainian SSR in 1963 and the Russian SSR in 1965. In the Russian SSR a weekday off (usually a Monday) was given if 9 May fell on a Saturday or Sunday.
The celebration of Victory Day continued during subsequent years. The war became a topic of great importance in cinema, literature, history lessons at school, the mass media, and the arts. The ritual of the celebration gradually obtained a distinctive character with a number of similar elements: ceremonial meetings, speeches, lectures, receptions and fireworks.
In Russia during the 1990s, the 9 May holiday was not celebrated with large Soviet-style mass demonstrations due to the policies of successive Russian governments. Following Vladimir Putin's rise to power, the Russian government began promoting the prestige of the governing regime and history, and national holidays and commemorations became a source of national self-esteem. Victory Day in Russia has increasingly become a celebration in which popular culture plays a central role. The 60th and 70th anniversaries of Victory Day in Russia (2005 and 2015) became the largest popular holidays since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
In 2015 around 30 leaders, including those of China and India, attended the 2015 celebration, while Western leaders boycotted the ceremonies because of the Russian military intervention in Ukraine.

Stadthalle

Mother Russia
Mother Russia is a national personification of Russia, appearing in patriotic posters, statues etc. The usage of the term mother in reference to a nation or culture symbolizes the spirit of collectivity. In the former Soviet period, the term Rodina-Mat was preferred, as it represented the multi-ethnic Soviet Union, and was especially used to commemorate the Great Patriotic War.

Moscow's Victory Square at night
SEE MY FACEBOOK HISTORY GROUP :
Victory Park was initially laid out over an area of 98 hectares in 1961, although work on the creation of an architectural memorial was only mooted in the Politburo in 1983. Fortunately, the original plan - to level the hill and replace it with a 250-meter high column - was abandoned in the turbulent eighties, and only returned to under Yeltsin's government, when it was considered imperative to get the long-delayed project finished in time for the 50th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945 - Russians have little interest in other countries' participation). Questions of taste left aside, the results are certainly impressive. The central avenue is called Years of War: It has five terraces, symbolizing the five years of conflict, and there are 1,418 fountains - one for every day. It runs past a memorial chapel, mosque, and synagogue to the circular Victors' Place, which has a triangular obelisk soaring 150 meters and surmounted by a statue of Nike, the Goddess of Victory. Behind this lies the crescent-shaped Museum of the Great Patriotic War, which gives a detailed but staid overview of Russia's appalling loses and eventual victory.
On 9 May, Victory Day in Russia, the park becomes the center of Moscow's celebrations, and as many of the remaining veterans and survivors as can make there way here, along with scores of the younger generations. In Russia the emphasis is on celebration rather than remembrance, and this is one of the most popular public holidays.

There are a number of films here on the packaging industry. This is because I am the publisher of Central and Eastern European Packaging -- - the international platform for the packaging industry in this region focusing on the latest innovations, trends, design, branding, legislation and environmental issues with in-depth profiles of major industry achievers. Most people may think packaging pretty boring but it possibly effects your life more than you really imagine!
Central and Eastern European Packaging examines the packaging industry throughout this region, but in particular in the largest regional economies which are Russia, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Austria. That is not to say that the other countries are forgotten, they are not, but obviously there is less going on. However the fact that there are so many travel related films here is not from holidays but from business trips attending trade fairs around the region.
Every packaging trade fair is a new excuse to make another film!

Independence Day Didn’t Bring Ukrainians Happiness
Subscribe to Vesti News
This week, Ukraine celebrated Independence Day. The holiday, which is considered the most important one in the country, didn’t bring people happiness. 26 years ago, when the Soviet Union collapsed, Ukraine was the richest of all the post-Soviet states. Independence, as they believed, was supposed to free the country from freeloaders from other republics and turn it into second France. This, in any case, was promised by the president at the time, Leonid Kravchuk. The reality is different. Today, 60% of Ukrainians live below the poverty line. The economy is shrinking, the population is dying out, and emigrating. Therefore, the emphasis in this year’s celebration was placed on the military parade. And by it, we can judge how truly independent Ukraine is.

The Battle Scars of Berlin [Kult America]
In this episode of Kult America, we explore Berlin’s untouched battle scars and hunt for remaining elements of the second world war, such as national eagles and swastika’s. Various locations of the city are still covered in bullet holes and damage, Including the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, The Berlin Dom, Victory Colum, Neue Wache, Zeughaus, anhalter Bunker Museum, Flank towers, and the famous Olympic stadium which has the last remaining swastika’s in Berlin. What struck me the most was that the Germans took serious effort in covering up the symbols of their past but left war scars, perhaps a smart reminded to prevent history from repeating itself.
