ArtWalk Longview is scheduled for Thursday, July 1 from 5 - 8 pm., and takes place in downtown Longview. This self-guided tour includes over a dozen downtown business venues featuring the work of more than 30 local and nationally known artists. The ArtWalk venues are TCC Photo | Gallery, Art Gallery 100, Shannon's Beading Basket, Jeff's Coffee Cafe, ARC Coffee Shop, Judge J.T. Smith Sculpture Garden, ProServe in the Crim Building, Texas Bank and Trust, G. Christy's Custom Framing, Osaka Japanese Sushi Bar, Forbes & Butler Visual Communications, Downtown Flooring Gallery, Gregg County Historical Museum, and the Longview Museum of Fine Arts. ArtWalk is a great event and a great way to support the local arts! said Cromer-Campbell, founder of the downtown ArtWalk.
TCC Photo | Gallery is exhibiting Childhood a Texas Photographic Society National Exhibition Juried by actress/author Jamie Lee Curtis. Gallery 100 will be exhibiting the works of twenty-one local artists working in the following media: watercolor, oil painting, acrylic, ceramic, photography, and glasswork, said owner Shannon Gilliland. The featured artist is Anup Bhandari and the other artists are Don Auderer, Gertrude Bisese, Michael Bishop, Patsy Irons, Jane Minick Cannon, Christine Chandler, Peggy Sue Coston, Tammie Dubose, Phyllis Haase, Reba Hubbard, Jim Hyatt, Varya Ignatchenko, Tim Lee, Karen Lowrey, James McLemore, Jeff Rushing, Sandra Spann, Jan Statman, David Thomas and Barbara Walls. Several of the artists will be on hand to discuss their work. ProServe in the Crim Building will be exhibiting Paul Anderson's paintings. Gregg County Historical Museum will display archival fine art photographs from their collection that will be for sale. Jeff's Coffee Shop will have artwork up. Texas Bank and Trust will have its photography contest on display. Downtown Flooring Gallery on the corner of Methvin and High will be showing stone sculpture by Stacie Deslatte. While you are on Methvin Street, stop in at Forbes & Butler Visual Communications to view their featured artist Larry Kitchen.
Art Walk Downtown Longview is a cooperative event among the businesses in downtown Longview who believe in the promotions of art for the benefit of the Longview Community. Art Walk Downtown Longview occurs three times this year. The next scheduled Art Walk is Thursday October 4, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Musicians and other performance arts are frequently part of the event. Art Walk Downtown Longview is a cooperative event among the businesses in downtown Longview who believe in the promotions of art for the benefit of the Longview Community. Art Walk Downtown Longview occurs three times this year. In the heart of our city, ArtWalk Downtown Longview located on Tyler, Center, Fredonia, Green, and all the way to the corner of Methvin and High Streets, is scheduled for Thursday, March 4, from 5 - 8 pm. With over 14 venues and the work of more than 40 artists, there will be art to satisfy all tastes during the ArtWalk. West North Street Drug Raid, Kilgore, TX - Sept. 11, 2014
A multi-agency raid on a suspected drug den at 908 W. North Street in Kilgore saw multiple suspects transported to Gregg County Jail on drug charges Thursday afternoon, the case developed through the joint efforts of Kilgore Police Department and the County Organized Drug Enforcement Squad, assisted in the bust by the Longview Combined SWAT Team.
